Just saw this bundle as part of the Black Friday sales, not the "best" deal" as buying everything individually you end up around the $1,250 mark but considering the console is still over $1,000 on the secondary market, this isn't such a bad deal if you want a console now.

This might be the only way people get a XBSX console now (I'd prefer the Telstra option) but this is clear gouging by Gamesman, offering up one decent game (that most people will get with game pass for free), 2 heavily discounted games, a game worth nothing and an elite controller which, I love, but is an expensive niche item, for $500 extra.
Yeh definately, I've noticed lately that some things they all selling more than the RRP, Metroid Dread amiibo for example, they have jacked their standard price up to $54.95.

They should drop the price by $90 since FH5 is on Game Pass.
Not a great deal. Buy the XBX and get what games/controller you want separately. They are easier to get than PS5s.
As someone with an Xbox
This deal is simply not worth it. I’ve had two send in my elite controller 3 times in 14 months (granted I play it with mid to heavy use)
Those games 1 of which is on game pass (and worth it) are meh level and will drop very quickly. Siege has issues with MK/XIM users at mid to higher ranks
I rarely used my elite controller 2 and it still got the drifting issue after about 3 months. Terrible quality. The worst part of Xbox Series S/X are the controllers.

Yeah, not a deal. Paying full RRP because it's in stock or comparing it to gouging prices on the secondary market doesn't make this a bargain.

I wouldn't mind if it's the console and a standard controller bundle at RRP like they had with the PS5, but bundling a niche controller and 4 games from completely different genres is a bit much. There's something for everyone I guess, but in that vein likely won't be happy with something too.
Actually it's not too bad, take 749 off and maybe you can sell the controller at least 200. $50 each for the game, another 200 ( yes FH5 is on game pass, but still people buy disc. ) left $100. I guess many out there will pay 849 for a console alone if they need it this Christmas. This deal just need more gumtree/marketplace time.
also if you have couple discount gift card handy, basiclly you are not paying extra. YES, this deal, you have enough time to type in your gift card.

If you are really desperate, I rather buy from an official retailer than a scalper. At least the items includes are of some value and you are not paying $1200 for just the console. The games are not bad and elite controller is pretty damn awesome albeit its high price.
Looks good to me, I'd grab it if I was still looking, especially if I needed it for Xmas. They are not easier to find than PS5 in my experience. I got a PS5 for RRP walking into a store. I paid $1150 for a XSX on eBay.
Ebgames in hills has a 4K waiting list for ps5 and 230 for XSX. Just depends where you live really. My friend from Perth has a higher waiting list for XSX

Not going to lie, looking forward to this company going broke from all the gouging they’re doing once the price lunacy ends.
It’s a shame that a company that’s been around so long has stooped to this, but maybe they’re looking to pump the value then run with the cash.
4 consoles left (they were out of stock but it looks like they may have had some problems with a few of the orders?).
Luckily, I received a call from my local Harvey Norman shop, to inform me that they are expecting more consoles in 2-3 weeks, so they took me off the "expression of interest" list, and then they took $100 deposit and changed my status to "pre order".
I've been on that list the day it opened (so they told me) on or around the 6th of November?
They were puzzled that I even knew about it, and asked how I knew about it (Twitter alerts of course).
Anyway, it's been a bit of a wait, but there's a light at the end of the tunnel, and I did NOT give in to the temptation of paying extortion prices.
I don't know if they still have an expression of interest list, but it may be worthwhile to ring and find out, since these expressions of interest lists were/are different for each shop and it's free to be placed on those lists (if they're still there that is).
Who knows, you may get lucky with getting a preorder with delivery just before the holidays, like me.
Oh, and JB Hi Fi also have/had a similar list, you can be on both, but not on two lists from the same retailer in different locations (I was told they take people who do that off all lists).
Edit: so it was/will be a 5-6 week process for me, so it'd probably be too long for Christmas but around New Year's Eve.
P.S someone's got the last 4 consoles from this "deal".
I’m not sure if anyone knew but I wasn’t actually looking at buying an Xbox because I thought it’d be impossible getting one but I had to walk into Telstra the other day and they had stock of consoles so I guess if you’re on plan with them already might just be worth walking into local stores and checking if they have them on display.. I ended up a buying it and having a blast.
