Cartridge lasts 1892 litres or 12 months.
If you already have the filter, this is good for the replacement cartridge as well as a new cartridge is $129.90.

    1892 litres/12 months vs 600 litres/4 months.

    The pure system claims "sub micron" filtration. The Brita does not state micron size but says "99.99% of bacteria" which does not mean sub-micron, it could mean between 5 and 10 microns, who knows, it's marketing spin, impossible to verify.

    Bunnings has a similar Stefani filter for $130, and the most expensive cartridge for that is $52 for 0.2 micron filtration.

    Personally I find the Brita filter ugly and I wouldn't put that on my kitchen tap. But I can understand why some people would prefer it over the separate filter taking up space.
