Some of the best tape around, they use this in films ergo gaffer tape, ergo gaffer.
How does it go with heat? Like in car? Soften and detachs?
I don't think it would be that good as it's gooey as a glue, it really is meant for floors and carpets for cables etc.
It wont detach but it could really get sticky when removed.

@TEER3X: You do NOT want to put this on cables, it will rip them apart when you try to take off the tape, it is that strong, you can tear it easily but the adhesive is designed for floors and walls etc.

A bit too luxury for that purpose. You should be able to get the same width 50M packing tape from Officeworks for $2.99 per twin pack.

I've been looking up Gaffer vs Duct Tape but can't seem to really find anything conclusive to say why I shouldn't just stick to buying the latter which is cheaper per m?

Gaffer tape is like premium 4 ply toilet paper. Duct tape is like the half ply you find in public toilets where you end up poking your fingers through every time you use it.
