Says Black has been used not brand new. Just a FYI

    • Was available as new at time of posting, sold out now.

  • I just wanted lilac.

    What a shame.

The JB sale combined with Afterpay and Norton's cashback effectively brought to the G305 to $9

    • I just paid the 39…..I cannot risk the aids virus that is Norton being associated with me at all.

Going to quarantine Norton in a VM

      • I work in IT security.
        "Old" Norton was genuinely painful.
In like….2015? or so? they rewrote the system from the ground up, entirely new.

I'd still never recommend that you waste money on it, since BitDefender exists, but Norton is no longer a dirty word if you're 'up to speed' on testing and such.
If it's free, and you're not a privacy nut, then why not?

        • Norton is going on a pc that doesn't get turned on, it has a stigma attached they'll struggle to disassociate

          • @pennyless: Funny enough, if you've ever worked in the IT retail sector, the stigma is extremnely good.
Move to the professional sector, and it's extremely bad.

You know what caused it's ENTIRE problem back in the day? Javascript blocking.
Because its own interface was an interactive webpage in a window. So if you uninstalled it, without disabling the filtering first, even a reinstall would render the 'options' unclickable.

Norton360 was a standalone beast, the less said about that the better. But it's the WindowsME of secutity suites.
It caused nothing but hell when it was launched, but if you tried it today, with 100% of its patches in place and updated, it'll perform incredibly well and you'll wonder why we ever disliked it.

All in all, they're one of the best these days with their heuristics engine accuracy, but as a professional, I still dont reocmmend it.
The biggest differenc, is that if a client likes it, that's no longer 'a problem'.

    • Or if anyone want to go to JBHIFI store to price match and use afterpay, TheGamesMen selling Lilac or Blue for $49.95. You need to add a cheap item to $50 for afterpay promo.
