    Hi OP,

    Is it a typo ?

    first recharge by 01 / 02 / 2021 <<< would it be 01/02/2022 ?

    • +3

Yes. It should be 2022. Thank you for pointing out. My brain couldn't process it's almost 2022.. :D

  • +2

Decent price on the 300GB as well $214.90

    • for me the price shown before discount (for $300) is $259. Then the price reduced only to $227.92

can you please share the link for me?

      • Looks like they bumped the price up unfortunately.

    CHANGES TO INTERNATIONAL INCLUSIONS

We are making some changes to the included destinations for international calls.

From 1 February 2022, Afghanistan will no longer be available for international calls, and the Philippines and South Africa will move from unlimited calls to an allocation of call minutes.

At the same time, we will be replacing these destinations with new destinations. Brazil and the Netherlands will now be available for unlimited calls, while Argentina will be included as one of the 30 destinations with an allocation of call minutes.

Has Boost sorted out the MMS issue yet?

  • +2

I'm currently going through a nightmare scenario with Boost.

I was using a 365 pre-paid and purchased another 365-day $300 sim from a deal posted here last month. I ported out to Woolies so I can port back to Boost. Activated the new Boost sim and it came back with an activation error after a while. Contacted the help desk and they tried to activate it but couldn't make it work. So they put a cancellation for my sim activation. That took about 3 weeks to get cancelled. Helpdesk yesterday said, cancellation has processed and they will activate the sim from their end. Nothing happened. So contacted them again today. Now they are saying a case need to be lodged with the IT team to try to fix it. Don't know how long it will take. They can't give a refund as I purchased the sim from Simonline and I have to get a refund from them.

BTW, Simonline.com.au contact number 0498158888 does not take any incoming calls.

    • Sounds like hell. Good luck

    • Sorry to hear that, but I guess this is between you and Boost to sort out, not the seller! as it meant to be for new customers..

    • Thanks for sharing. I was about to port my Boost to woolies for a month and port back to Boost with this deal. Reading about your experience now, I am not sure if it is a good idea. Any idea what's causing the issue?

      • When porting you have to provide following info:

        Name
        DOB
        Account number
        Current plan type prepaid/postpaid. I said pre-paid as it's a pre-paid sim-only.

But then I got a SMS saying details mismatch and contact Boost for help. I called them and gave the info again and they said they will update the system. Got the same sms again. Called again and then they said a non-character has been entered (they can't say by who) and they will fix it again. Got the no-go sms again. Then they said they will cancel the port in so I can retry the same sim number…..no luck yet.

        • Are you using ASUS ZenFone by any chance? If yes they have a MMS bug in their Android OS

      • Boost and Woolies are both on Telstra network.

        • I know right. How hard it can be?

          • +2

@maxx: As someone who works in the industry…. very hard. Mostly due to self-inflicted causes. On the plus side, it keeps me employed.

            • +1

@Xizor: Self inflicted as in the customer or staff member?

              • +2

@ozhunter68: Staff (typically heavily outsourced), system designs, order flows, and operational integrity. It's a never ending quagmire. I bought a boost sim today so crossing my fingers..

I found the same thing happened to me where the number was not activated for some reason but what you can try and put an old sim in then take it out and put the Boost sim in. I found that worked for me last time. Good luck.

    • That's your idea of a 'nightmare scenario'?

Heaven forbid that discount benefits should be given to existing customers

    • +1

Think they did mention that if you're on their old plan the next time you go to recharge they will discount the $200 plan to $150.

      • +1

I look forward to being pleasantly surprised in January and March….

  • You're kidding. Just signed up to the $200 plan less than an hour ago

  • Can this be used to recharge existing boost pre-paid?

    .

    • I dont think so. at least all the others I've seen say No.
      Sold out now anyway :-/

  • Seems to be stock again.
Does this network (Telstra) work in North Canberra?
Because Optus is sh*t, drop outs.
Actually Optus is bad on Northern Beaches Sydney as well due to "tower upgrades".

  • Is 140gb enough nowadays for you guys? Comes to 11gb per month!

    • +3

It’s enough for me considering I’m on wifi all day

    • Reckon I’d get by on 5gb given wifi at home

  • Thanks OP got one!

  • Thanks OP, got one at $4 higher price with revised back in stock price, still good deal.

  • Thanks OP ! Just in time for my yearly renewal !

  • How does this work if I already have a Boost SIM card but it says for new customers only? Can I still buty it and use it on my existing account?

    • +1

You can't use it for renewal, only for port in or new customers. You can try to port out to different network then port back in after that, but read comment above as they have problem porting back to Boost from Woollies Mobile.

  • Code still works…now $1 more but still good. Just ordered one, thx OP.

  • Bit of a pain setting this one up, not sure what everyone elses experience was like? Had to do it via the customer service chat channel
