    I bought one of these a few months ago and mate, it does the job to be honest. Checking the front of the house when I'm out. Sending messages to the postman to leave the parcels outside when I can't get to the door.
    Battery wise is pretty good too. It's been connected nearly two months and still more than 50% of battery left.

    surely you'd need some kind of transformer, as normal doorbell hard wiring wouldn't be 240V, would it?

      Yes you need a basic hard wired door bell

      Yeah you can get some with a chunky plug. They're available in the US, but haven't found one here.

  The one thing that turns me off this and the other Google camera products is needing a subscription to get some additional services/features.
  Though I suppose if you get just this doorbell being able to see the last 3 hours of recordings without a sub isn't that bad.

    If you live in a tough neighborhood yeah fair enough. But if you leave in an average hood and not that creepy you would just check the camera live feed when it's necessary…

    Actually on further reading, without a sub it's a rolling 3 hour block. So if you are sleeping and something happens, by the time you wake up the notification will be on your phone but the recording will be gone.

    Anyone able to confirm if this is the case? Wording seems a bit confusing as some say 3 hours and others stipulate it's a rolling 3 hour block. Not a total of 3 hours recording before the oldest gets removed.

  Samsung buyers beware. Google aren't fixing a Samsung (all models) compatability issue with the Talk& Listen (the main function) they have apparently known about for years. Have tried logging feedback and escalation since buing my Google Nest Doorbell and looking for any other way to get their attention to fix.
