I was also in a similar position, picked mine up this arvo and walked fairly quickly back to the car. The staff also told me that they didn't have a bag big enough to fit the console.
I also found it hilarious when I arrived at the store, one of the team members had a printed list and was just calling everyone about their PS5 being ready for pickup.
Haha - I had the same thought. I live in a suburb in the middle of two EB stores (North Lakes and Morayfield) - got a call to collect mine today and as I had elected it to pick it up from the Morayfield store, I too had some slight concerns of walking it to the car, without a bag, with all the eshays around :)
PS5 box fit nicely in Ikea's blue bag.
Yeah i claimed every single game the PS Collection had. A few I will happily sink some time into so pretty happy with that for the $40 i signed up for recently.
Got the call today around midday and picked it up.
Can’t believe it’s been like 1 and half year since launch and we still have scalpers ? Usually scalpers last 6 months and then go away.
Imo retailers need to ban online buying of next gen consoles and require ID / one per person rule with data matching across their stores. Otherwise this will never end as supply isn’t going up anytime soon
might just skip this Gen if this continues never buying for scalpers !
I think there must be a lot more stocks now, I can see scalper price are dropping like flies (lowest I see $900). Bring more stocks in and squash them!.

Chadstone (Vic) stock arrived this morning - have picked mine up!
Went to my local store in watergardens vic and they said they didn't have my number so they gave my pre order to someone else. I looked at my eb member profile and all my contact information is there online and also on the deposit invoice. I asked them why didn't they look online on their system and got a blank look back. Looks like the store did a dodgy and probably kept one for themselves or gave it to a friend. Store person called head office and explained the situation and all that could be done is have my name on top of the next batch. Safe to say I'm never ordering anything from eb games again. So angry!
