We've got 115 super fun, entertaining and attractive specimens who are ready to be loved once more…they're just busting for new playmates to push their buttons ;)

In fact, these 115 titles are so keen to be loved once again, that they're willing to submit to polygamous relationships. That's right, we're actually encouraging you to pick up two (or more) new playmates with our 2 for $30 promo!

Oh, and for those worried about inheriting someone else’s ex, fear not! Our pre-owned games come in their original retail packaging and have been hand-picked for their quality.

2 new playmates for $30? We bet you’ve paid more for a three-night relationship from the video store…and those games have gone around the course more than Tiger Woods…

Goes without saying, but we forgot to mention: Free Shipping Aus-Wide (as always!)
Feel free to let us know what you like below ;)

  • Are you guys going in to Administration like Game in the UK????

    • +17

      Hi jps433,

We've gotten this question a lot lately, but the GAME's not over in Aus yet! We operate pretty independently from the UK arm, so as long as we keep getting your support, it's GAME ON!

      • -5

        why did you say yet?!?

        • Well obviously they are somewhat related, given the share the same name. They would be governed by GAME UK but I speculate they will be spun-off and sold to new buyers in Australia.

It's good to have some competition locally, hope GAME do stick around for some time to come.

        • Why did you use 2 question marks?

    • +4

This was posted on AFR last week:

      http://www.afr.com/p/world/game_australia_bid_to_keep_stores…

Looks like they are somewhat independent fom GAME.co.uk and are still fighting to keep afloat.

    • -1

Calm down with the negs people, its not illegal to ask a damned question!

      • +3

apparently with the 7 negs it is, gave you a +v for the "thought police" of the site.

  • Not a bad list at all. Any chance of adding Black Ops for ps3 on the list :D

  • -8

Are these the games you guys hoarded in the DSE gaming 'clearance'?

    • +3

I don't think GAME are DSE Staff.

      • +2

I'm pretty sure that the DSE staff are selling their games "as new", not "pre-owned".

    • If they deserve it, they deserve, if they don't then I neg you. There are definately some horrible reps here but good one like game shouldn't be getting shits when they give out geniune bargains unlike a certain competitor

    • +1

I saw a guy in chatswood do that, from DSE straight back to his EB shop next door :)

Though I think I overheard him mention he also got a console at the earlier time as well so maybe they were just for home.

  • +12

    +ve for description

    • yeah you gotta give it up for the description

      • love the description.

        • pretty lame Milhouse

  • any idea if these games are region free , would they work on an xbox 360 in europe ???

    • Xbox games typically aren't region free, but Australia and Europe both use PAL, so they should be fine to use on a European Xbox.

    bargain :P
    $14 new
    $18 preowned

    Bioshock 2
    $20 new
    $18 preowned

at least with that preowned is cheaper :)

    • +2

Hmmm… Good spot Aussman! If we had any jobs going in our quality control department, you'd be a shoo-in ;)
Will get that fixed up ASAP. In the meantime, we'll expect the keen OzBargainers to buy us out of the $14 new copies…

      • +1

        Hi Game AUS,

I had that game in my cart when you changed the price to $24. So I still paid $14.

Will you please follow through with my order?

        Thank you,

      • +17

… Disappointing that fixing it meant increasing the new price rather than decreasing the preowned price.

        • -3

Pathetic…but I don't expect anything else from GAME. I remember trying to price match "The Orange Box" from $99 to about $88 (can't remember) and they refused on the grounds that it was too cheap at Big W. Needless to say, I haven't been back.

  • Picked up a couple of games, thanks GAME.

    • Hey, while you're paying attention to this thread, I couldn't find a way to spend my GAME credit for this purchase, nowhere in my account info does it suggest a code of any kind or even show me what credit I have, is the credit (from the GAME card) only usable in-store?

      • To hijack this further, I also have a rewards card (quite old) and there is a form to 'activate my account' here:
        http://www.game.com.au/gameonreg
However, this requires a 'RCV' number which is not on my card (mine doesn't match the picture).

  • -2

So $3 per title saving. Meh.

  • +2

    Damn, no PC titles!

  • I'm planning to buy Alan Wake. Is there any redeemable codes in the case if I buy a new one i.e. DLC? If not I'll buy the preowned one on the link. Thanks in advance

    • Yes you get the first dlc episode for free with new copies.

      • The first DLC is not worth the money though (yes I had the code in the package). It's 20 minut gameplay and basically doesn't add much to the original story. I wouldn't be bothered.

  • Thanks GAME! This is my 6th order from you. Nothing beats the PS3 DS3 controllers on sale by mistake for $20! :)

  • Ordered Red Dead & Assassin's Creed 2, thanks GAME. Cheaper than the place I usually buy used games from (and I know because I regularly head in and look), and cheap enough compared to buying new from Ozgameshop! Couldn't find my rewards card though but I figure the points wouldn't really be much anyway.

And free shipping is nice, just sucks that it's the Easter weekend… says they're due to me on the 12th, so I won't get them for a bit longer because of the two public holidays!

  • I want the Afterglow PS3 controllers for $18! Any chance of any more at this price!?

  • Hi Game Rep - Any chance of adding the Xbox 360 version of Red Dead to the offer? Or LA Noire?

  • Crackdown 2 and Assassins Creed Brotherhood for 360. Never played Assassins. It's one of those games that I'm sure is great but cbf playing it. This will be the time I play it!
    Thanks for the deal Game.

  • Red head redemption is included, should send one to Julia.

    • Lol, but only ps3 version. Hopefully they can add 360 ver.

    • +2

I don't care what anybody says, if I buy a physical item I have every right to sell it.

How come I never hear anyone ranting about used car sales, or used furniture sales?

      • -6

Perhaps, to an extent. Except you're not really buying a physical medium anymore, are you? You're buying a license. And here we are, console games are being released with "online activation codes", Steam is thriving, digital distribution booming. None of the major publishers want second hand games to exist, and like it or not, they're trying their hardest to stamp it out.

As I said, as a consumer its normal to want the best possible price and the cheapest games, but as responsible consumers we have to look at what our actions are doing to the industry we love.

To that extent it wouldn't surprise me to see future games go fully digital. Rumours already flying around that the Xbox 720 won't even have a disc drive.

EDIT: Have a read here: http://www.forbes.com/sites/insertcoin/2012/03/29/the-coming…

        • +2

Actually, as a responsible consumer, I believe in maintaining a thriving second hand market, thus putting pressure on companies to deliver quality content at a competitive price.

    • +5

      You sound like Gerry Harvey!

You can continue paying more while we enjoy paying less for used games.

      • Really? I thought I sounded in favour of digital distribution and cutting out the middle man. Wouldn't that make me the opposite of Gerry Harvey. Maybe you misread what I wrote.

        • Yet you start your comment off with this

Buying used games like this is a great way to screw over developers and publishers. They get zero from your purchase, all the money stays with the GAME middleman, its 100% pure profit in GAME's pockets.

        • He's saying developers get nothing while game keep full profit, not 'it's good to screw developers out of money'.

I want cheap games to but orange123 doesn't deserve negs.

    • +1

Buying used games like this is a great way to screw over developers and publishers. They get zero from your purchase

Yes, because they've already been paid for that copy of the game.

      • While this is true, the person buying the second hand copy would have bought a full retail copy if the slightly cheaper option of second hand didn't exist :)

        • +1

And the second hand copy wouldn't exist if the developer had made a game worth keeping in the first place.

Also, if the second hand copy didn't exist, the original owner of that copy wouldn't have been able to trade it in to buy another new game.

        • You're making two assumptions here:

          1. The game is bad - people trade in games they completed or just no longer want to play all the time.

          2. The owners is going to buy a new game with the money (heaven forbid he could buy a second hand game!)

Really I don't have an opinion on the point, devs should be fairly rewarded & I don't mind that people trade in games.

        • And you're making the assumption that someone buying a second hand game would have bought a new game if the second hand game wasn't available.

    • I disagree with this point that 2nd hand game market and the consumer supporting it ruin the Game industry.

To state my point lets go back to some ECON 101:

      1) When there is a supply and a demand for a good and service there is a market for it, whether it is legal or illegal
i.e Drug, Stolen credit card #, Human organs etc.

      2) If there is a demand for a non-consumable good and service, there is a possible 2nd hand market for it to be re-sell
i.e 2nd hand car, 2nd hand software licence (Some ppl do collect and resell Win XP licence), Garage sale

I understand if there is not enough profit/ margin for those game developers they will not be able to survive.
However it is NOT up to the Australians or any consumers "to be woke up" for the problem of the 2nd hand game market. Game developers have to realise it is the nature of the "resellability" of the product and the market mechanism.

If one day all games are distributed in DRM digital means and all consumer accept this way to purchasing the right of play a game not owning a game(i.e Apple app store, Stream), 2nd hand game will simply cease it existence.

    • You've overlooked a pretty basic concept. Sale revenue would likely decrease if there was no secondary market. Most people can't afford to buy and keep every game, so they sell old games to fund new purchases.

Secondary markets are important for most purchases.

  • +1

Good deal but I can hardly find any worthwhile games for the wii section, Redsteel 2 and what else? Raving Rabbids? I'll pass..

  • As far as I can see second hand games help keep shops open.

Most money is made on games not consoles.

Shops sell consoles just so they can sell games and if suppliers dont sell consoles they wont sell games.

Shops wont sell consoles at super special prices if they get less return from people buying games.

Shops dont get 100% of the money for selling second hand games unless gamers just give them to them for free.

If there is no second hand a lot of people will buy far less games and lose interest in the console all together which hurts shops and suppliers or they will turn faster to piracy which again hurts shops and suppliers.

The most they will do is nobble the online play aspect of used games which hurts some people buy not others.

    God Bless Game Cafe :)

Not many titles to choose from…

Negative for increasing price on FIFA.

What does "original retail packaging" exactly mean? You get the original green game case and sleeve insert? What a bonus! :/
