Is it good for pixel 6 phone charging, thanks

    • You just need a 30W for pixel fast charging. So you can get something much smaller.

  • +1

Does anyone know if the USB-C port can do 65W on its own? Amazon listing doesn't mention max power per port.

EDIT: oops, found it USB C 65W Output Max

    • Sorry is that a yes or no?

      • +3

That's a yes according to the listing.

  • Will it charge MacBook?

    • +6

      Would you trust it

      • +1

No one can be trusted, when I googled 'charger explosion', OnePlus Nord 2 5G charger and iphone charger are on the top of list.

      • I use it for either my Macbook Pro or my Lenovo P43s, depending on which one I brought to that desk. so far pretty good, no issues.

  • Yeah it would work if 65W. I'm looking to buy for my X1 Carbon 65W. Wonder how it would go doing two additional devices at the same time?

    • if it is REALLY 65w it should work, i am looking for my Yoga slim 4800h, too. but I've found it fussy with certain cords and chargers (mostly cords)

  • Have Heymix chargers become the new Eneloop of Ozbargain?

    • I know right! How often we need/change chargers?!

    • +1

The previous 25W charger deal has bad reviews on Amazon claiming it died the next day.

      Mines still working tho.

      • I have two and think they're great.

  • Is it good for fold 3 charging?

  • +4

Skip this and get the GaN one instead. This ones a brick.

    • Looks like this one is a GaN charger

“ The streamlined Gallium Nitride power system ensures a smaller and lighter charger with higher charging efficiency.”

      • This definitely isn't their GaN charger. I've got two of them and they're much smaller than this and work really well.

        • +4

I just got it delivered today, i can confirm it is a Gan charger, written on the box and small size too.

            @WIND: A picture tells a thousand words.

Nice to see the AU plug and ok size for that power.

Next time on sale will get one.

          • @WIND: That's great news. The Amazon listing has 7 pictures and picture three shows their smaller GaN charger (and picture 7 shows something different again). Glad you guys didn't get their larger dud one I got (and returned) with the screechy coil whine.

        • this one definitely is GaN, it's not big by all means.

        • is that their 2 or 3 port charger that is longer rather than taller? (the one that looks like it only takes up the same footprint as the power plug itself?) 2 of those together look like they'd take up as much space as my anker but deliver way more power.

        • I’ve seen another version of their charger, I think they call it the Gen2, little smaller and has rounded corners

      • Thanks for posting, that charger looks great. Any suggestions for USB C 65W cable 1m

        • From the amazon listing: "100W PD Cable Included, Black"

    • I got jebaited. Thought this was the GaN one and ordered already.

      • "jebaited?" Had to look that word up lol.

Looks like the one posted by OP is a Gan and the one above your comment is also,

but the one from Ali double/almost price depending on when you got the deal.

        • Oh the OP one is a GaN? So confusing, it seems like some people in the comments are saying it's not, and that there's a weird whining noise when charging.

          • +1

@Scalding Coffee Cup: I was also confused at first until I read more comments. Look the picture above your comment, nothing better than looking in the flesh. I actually upvoted someone and revoked and then read further, so was wrong twice haha.
Many chargers make some whining noice, do your research and buyer beware.

            • @ozhunter68: My order arrived — it's labelled "Gan Fast Charger", but is definitely different from another charger from HEYMIX that I had previously purchased. The other one is 66W and has a little light on it that tells me when it's charging.

Haven't tried charging yet but hopefully it should be fine!

              • @Scalding Coffee Cup: Well, as they say "oils aint oils" even comparing apples to apples ( many sizes and varieties ).

Hope it works well for you within expectations of specs and price.

@OP is there a deal on a GaN Gen2 charger with 2xPd and 1xusb QC?

  • +1

Got one. decent price. Thx OP

  • Tempting. Would this be sufficient to maintain charge on a razer blade doing light work loads? Such as browsing, text documents and video?

    • +1

Should be as long as the blade supports USB C charging.

Regular laptop usage should useaybe 20 - 50w.

    • +3

I've got the 100W USB-C Heymix charger and it will charge the battery on my Blade 15 while I'm using the laptop for light workloads. The OEM charger is about 230W though, so I would expect if you've got screen brightness maxed out and are using lots of CPU/GPU then even at 100W you're going to go backwards.

The 65W should at least allow you to maintain your charge for a lot longer and get through the workday (if not charge the laptop slowly at the same time). If you leave it connected overnight while the laptop is off it would also then charge. Would probably be okay if you need a spare charger, or something compact to carry around, but if you want it as a replacement you might be better off with something higher power.

      • Yeah, I've been waiting for a decently sized and priced 100w GaN wall charger to at least get close to half of the power brick wattage. Just haven't seen many that seem worth it and contemplating just getting a 65w GaN. Then again, could probably wait and see.

        • I just plugged in my 100W and it says it will charge battery from 50% in 45mins while I'm using the laptop. This is the Blade Advanced, so I think it has the larger 80Wh battery, which means it's charging 40Wh (50%) in 45mins which means 60W out of the 100W going to charging, and the other 40W running the laptop, which agrees with what @chickendinner123 said above.

That means the 65W charger would probably still charge the battery, although much slower because it's only got 25W above the 40W that the running laptop is consuming. Still means it should hold charge though if you're just browsing the web etc, and charge from empty in 3-4hrs.

Meanwhile, looks like the deal is out of stock though.

          • @3: Yeah, I'm looking to take my Laptop when I move to work overseas after the lengthy interview process. So having my daily driver with me at home and work without needing to lug the power brick would be good.

Might wait until it's closer to early-mid next year and see if the 100W USB-C Heymix charger is available and in a price range ill go for.

            • @Velathial: Yeah I think the 100W is a good compromise if you can get it for a decent price. The one I've got is still really compact and has dual USB-C and dual USB-A ports which makes it great for travel. Only issue I have with it so far is that it gets really hot when charging - borderline uncomfortable to hold, so probably about 50C on the outside of the case. It's been working fine otherwise though.

              • @3: Yeah, what I've heard so far regarding GAn chargers. I'd assume that would be dependent if you're using the full 100w constantly, opposed to the USB-A port only at 18w.

  • Wait why is only white available?

    • Cause you're too late. Black was available earlier this morning.

    • -1

White is quite unpopular these days, in all regards…

  • Welcome to OzHeymix

  • NO more ???

  • +1

    All sold

  • I bought this non-GaN PD charger by Heymix a month ago. It had the nastiest coil whine I've heard, so I returned it for a refund.

I do have two of their much smaller 65w GaN PD chargers though and love them. Actually, they were out of stock when I wanted the second, so I bought another identical one that wasn't branded Heymix. It had the same model number on the bottom, but the Heymix came in a fancier box.

  • OOS

  • +3

Very odd. Their whole store is OOS.

    • I've been noticing that. Their range of products have slowly been winding down. OOS products don't get restocked. Now their entire range of GaN chargers are OOS. I wonder if they're going to way of Ravpower?

      • I bought their Heymix 65w GaN charger (with 'GaN' actually in the listing title) and liked it so much I wanted a second one. However, almost everything Heymix had listed was gone, but I found an identical GaN charger on Amazon (with identical model number printed on it) under a different brand.
