  • Have the 27 piece. Like it.

  • Cost me $8.33, said visa promotion at checkout but absolutely no idea why it came up. Definitely not going to complain.

    • Weird thought Amazon were in the bad books with Visa with that surcharge they added and trying to get people to use other cards. Either way tried to pay with a Visa card and couldn't get a further discount.

      • It applied automatically for me in the checkout. I did go through the shopback app so maybe it was triggered through them but it didn't give me much apart from 'visa promotion applied'

Be mindful these tools are rather small and i would suggest you google it for images.

Not saying its a deal breaker, just might not work for your use case potentially.

"What is this, a ratchet set for ants???"

In seriousness this size is perfect to keep in the car though, for the bike.

  • The universal holder is spring loaded and holds the bits so they cannot come out without pushing down on the holder thingy. Brilliant, and now don't need to go looking for the bit in the grass when the bit would attach itself to the screw I was driving. The ratchet holder is useless though.

    • The 27-Piece & the 46-Piece show Germany as country of origin whereas the two others show China as country of origin. I bought the 27-Piece.

      • It's made in China I have the same set

        • Even the country famed for quality is now outsourcing.

        • That sucks. I saw "Germany" and thought it's made there. haha

This is perfect for assembling furniture but not for heavy jobs. Mine is broken while trying to open a stubborn bolt

    • +4

yeah i wouldn't use a ratchet for seized bolts. crack it open with a normal spanner first, then go back to the ratchet.

  • If you buy tomorrow it'll be cheaper with the cashrewards discount

Ozbargain needs to deploy so MODs in eastern states for these early expired deals.

  • How do you get prime in aus?

    • +1

Have you considered popping "Amazon Prime" into Google? If you are searching in Australia it will be the first hit.

  • Under technical details: "Wattage ‎750 watts" !?

  • +1

Bought one - should have gotten another for next year's Kris Kringle "gift of up to $30" but its gone back up.

  • Also confused by 750W power?
Is that the max amount of Torque you can apply before it snaps?

    • Torque is not measured in Watts, so unless they've made a mistake with the units probably not.

Bought one when I woke up for a morning slash and then went back to bed. What did I buy? Are they Allen key adapters? Could be useful then I guess. Already got a ratchet set.

  • Gees, I didnt realise the normal price was $37, bought one last night and should have got one for my old man….

I have this set and I use it a lot. The super mini ratcheting wrench has fine tooth mechanism so it's swing angle is small. Very good for super tight spot. However, the directional switch is easy to knock over accidentally. On top of that, it hurts the hands because it's thin profile if you use it for high torque applications.

The bit holder/extension is poorly. The mechanism doesn't engage well and it's hard to operate especially when dusty. I very much prefer a one piece single body, strong magnetic slide in pull out bit holder. If a locking mechanism is required then Wera bit holders are the best.

Finally, the bits are good and they are hard wearing. Which makes this set last.

    • the bits being hard wearing is surprising. The metal used in most cheap sets rarely lasts long.

  • following incase back in stock :

  • Just received
    Noob question

How do you guys open the lid,
Are we suppose to Permanently cut off the black plastic screw that's keeping the lid down?

    • +1

      I did lol

      Savage

      • i'll do the same,
hopefully it doesnt compromise the ability of the lid to stay closed
