    There was a brief period around '71-'72 when you could get loudspeakers with red [bass] blue[treble] and green [mid-range] lightbuld in them that did a similar thing.

    "Surround sound" which added just a little to music came back after coming a cropper a la 3D TV, so maybe this idea might as well.

    $0.50 for each minute I reckon this will be a novelty for isn't that expensive…

  • Note that only a handful of the effects are compatible with audio interaction. It's not currently possible to create your own effects that work with this.

    The best one I've seen is the Genio 'Pixel' LEDs - they're much larger than normal but the audio effects are really good. Sadly my set worked for a few days, then just started displaying only solid white.
