Can these be mixed with ones made in the PRC?

    • +1

      Why neg?

These used to be made in the PRC and believe is now made in Japan?

Therefore, is it possible to mix the two batches?

The pros only a dollar or so more, bought some yesterday 😁

I pretty much only buy pros now. Less cycles sure, but will still be 10 odd years regardless

    • what you mean 10 odd years?

only has 500 recharges so how you get 10 years?

      • That's still recharging basically once a week every week for 10 years … I think that would more than cover most people's use cases. In fact 10 years is probably very conservative for most.

        • yeah i've mainly got eneloop white cos it has 2500 recharges
due to concern of 500 recharges of being not a lot..

if you only recharge once a week then 520 in 10 years makes sense
just depends on your use case..

some devices may need recharges more often while others don't (e.g remote controllers)

      • 10 years was super conservative.
Most of my Pros would be charged once a month worst case. So that'd give me 41 years at current usage for my 500 charges. That should be enough.
Curious what is draining these weekly?

  • Maybe put "rechargeable" in the title?

    • Done.

      • anyone who has been on ozbargain for a while now or bought eneloops
        knows eneloop are rechargeable…

anyway still good to add it

  • Anyone know of a good deal on chargers to charge these bad boys? 😊

What about this 4xAA pack with a charger. Currently close to 50% off.
    https://www.amazon.com.au/dp/B0779MZ1WH/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_glt…

    • it an overnight charger(takes hours or so i think) whereas the smart charger is a 1 hour charger.

    • That charger will kill your battery. There's a post here somewhere

recommend a good quality smart charger besides nite core d? i've read like 20 of the old battery and charger deals and they are mixed reviews on the chargers mentioned. what's a new charger that has recently released? ideally it has the capacity limit reader

    • https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/674020, this has expired now but i bought one a couple of months ago from Bing Lee for $25, i have energizer one hour charger too but i like the Panasonic, not sure about the capacity limit reader but below sums up what it does.

The Smart & Quick Charger has a 3-Colour LED Indicator which detects voltage to show the charging progress of the eneloop batteries. Flashing red, yellow and green LED colours indicate approximate battery replacement timing

    • The mh-c980. This thing is effective and smart. Does AA & AAA. I wouldn't trade it for anything.

Any difference in these compare to the ikea $7 ladda 1900?

    • Ikea ladda are selling for 10 bucks now. Checked 2 days ago in Rhodes

      • What do you use to charge the Laddas?

    • +1

I'd also like to know this. I was thinking of buying some of the LADDA for things like remotes which won't require charging often anyway, not sure they stack up against these.

Anyone recommend something to use with these batteries?
