  • This looks like exactly what I've been waiting for. Small, good quality, and with headphone output.

Only other thing I'd like is for it to be totally USB-C, with no HDMI. But I'm not sure there are any devices like that yet.

    • Yeah me too, that's why I shared it. These are rarely below $50 for cheaper brands at usb 2. My son will make videos while playing switch. I can also use my older DSLR as a killer webcam with this.

      • Thanks for sharing. Any idea if i can use this to livestream from my mirrorless camera that have an HDMI connection? If it does, will that include audio as well ?

  • Can these be used to record (owned) blu-rays for use on a Plex server by connecting my existing blu-ray o my laptop? They are much cheaper than a PC blu-ray player.

    • I know the old video outputs on VHS sometimes had video signal fades to make it hard to backup, the second VHS could not handle it, but your old school CRT TV could. I don't know of such issues on blu-ray, but I have not tried it. Maybe some else has backup experience to help?

  • Never used a capture card before, does it work well with laptops and NUCs?

Like, is it possible to setup a dual 'pc' streaming setup, with the laptop running the game, HDMI (or DP over usb C?) output connect to the HDMI input on this, and then this outputs an HDMI?(or USB?) signal to a nuc that handles the actual stream?

    • As long as your pc can handle the video data it should work. I have not personally set it up with what you are saying, but it sounds similar to having a camera input via card and having obs PC record the game and the external input. In your case the secondary device is not a camera but a PC output. Sounds right to me.

  • +1

    Perfect for Hyperion too.

  • $109 now

  • Picked this up for Hyperion a month ago but on AliExpress for $33 and one week delivery

  • Use these for my hyperion setups with my raspberry pi, works great

Great price as paid 65 for them

    • Interested in getting one for Hyperion. Do you know if it does HDMI-CEC?
I tried Hyperion with a cheap capture card from aliexpress but it does not do HDMI-CEC which is a deal breaker for my use case.

  • thinking of capturing some videos for sharing on youtube.
any basic/easy capture software for win10 to use with this please?

n00b when it comes to all this :)

    • Sure, lookup OBS. It's free and does a good job. Handles multiple inputs at once

      • thanks!
