  • just before the pay now it has this

    Direct Debit
I understand that an automatic payment will be debited from my nominated credit card monthly for a period of 12 months. I also understand that at the end of my 12 month contract my coverage will auto-renew for an additional 12 months until I cancel it.

I understand the NRMA will notify me via email or post prior to my annual renewal so I know before a new 12 month contract with direct debit will take place.

are we sure that they wont charge us 12 months ?

    • Yeah, I checked through the T&C's and they certainly weren't clear on the matter. Stating "cancel anytime" implies you can cancel before being charged (- otherwise, what's the point of canceling? -) but nothing what I read through explicitly said that was the case.

  • Does this require $5 payment upfront? Order summary subtotal shows $5

Card details are required for auto debit.

    Order summary
    Receipt number 33646XXXXX
    Total paid $0.00
    Next payment $5.00
    Next payment due 30/06/2022

wait 2 more day you should get extra month…

  • I am using RACQ member discount and Suncorp rewards app. (They both free just need to open free bank account and it's free for forever 😉)
    .
Is it worth to have this in $5 per month (NRMA)

    • Suncorp gift card program will finish next month, RACQ doesn't take gift card order months ago.

  • Are there any other free memberships / reward programs that offer discounted woolworths and wish E gift cards?

  • I have this membership for free with Simply Energy electricity and gas

  • The fuel discounts are very capital city-centric. Nothing between Sydney and the northern Gold Coast.

  • Is there something similar for Victoria

  • Anything similar in WA?

    • +2

NRMA operate in WA now. I just signed up to this.
If you're an RAC member you can get WW e-giftcards discounted too, but they don't have Dan Murphys

      • Ahhh really rac mamber have woolworths gift cards? Shoot where can I get them Thx in advance

        • By typing in "RAC Woolworths gift cards" into Google

Beware, I took up this trial just over a week ago and when trying to cancel it online it says to call them and when calling them their call centre advises that it's a 12 month minimum term and that upon signing up for the trial people are expected to read all the terms and conditions associated with it. It's not actually a trial as all apparently and is a "bait and switch" where they are trying to up their yearly subscribers.

    • +3

Note: 2 separate reps in the call centre said this and the only way to cancel it was to start a the process of formal complaint against them with the office of fair trading. I'd not touch nrma at all for any of their products if that's how their attitude is of 'but the fine print said this.. You should have read it and know you're fully liable now and should not have relied on the term trial'

      • Just as well I used a disposable Visa card which I don't keep a balance on. They could still get the debt collectors after me I guess.
In this case I'd better just make sure I get more than $30 value out of it.

    • @metro2012 we're really sorry you had that experience. The 6 months free trial for NRMA Blue is a free trial, in that no payment is required for the first 6 months, then it’s just $5 a month thereafter for the remaining 6 months. We wanted to give people the opportunity to check out some of the thousands of benefits and savings that NRMA Blue has to offer, at no cost for the first 6 months.

All of our products are setup as a 12 month subscription, and this trial is no different, though if you wanted to cancel the subscription before the trial period as you've not enjoyed the benefits and discounts, there is no cost - just reach out to our call centre on 13 11 22 (8am - 8pm) 7 days or email us via:[email protected].

Thanks for letting us know once again, although we apologise for any confusion. We hope that you will benefit from the many partners and savings with NRMA Blue.

  • Be careful, they spoke initially as if nrma pulls you into a contract similar to a mobile phone contract, the staff advised it was so no one exploits the system and claims a benefit/ leaves before the 12 month term is up.
