I assume the following:
- Better to hold in handheld mode since it replicates a controller feel
- Back buttons for more functionality
- Macros
- RGB
I use a HORI Switch Split Pad Pro and it's way better than using joycons in handheld mode, besides the lack of rumble on those.
I also had the Hori. So comparing both of them, does the binbok have more back buttons/macros?
Not sure, but it has rumble so that would be nice to have.
Yeah, it's actually holdable unlike the normal joycons lol.
And has better analog sticks
It's RGB so it's like 30% more pro

i enjoy using this more then the joy cons
Pro Controller is by far the best controller experience for Switch.
Unless you play handheld most of the time. In which case these are probably as good as it gets.

Rep, have you done anything to fix the d-pad on this version? Even on the previous new ones, that supposedly fixed the d-pad, the reviews I read said the d-pad still sucked…
Release a version with an actually good d-pad, and you will make millions! (Seems like everyone has forgotten how to make a dpad when it comes to the Switch…)

Fwiw, the dpad on 8bitdo's controllers (especially the Pro 2) are fantastic.
The older 8bitdo dpads were a bit hit and miss (I have an older SN30 Pro, and it's OK, but not perfect), but yeah, the Pro 2 sounds like the best option around, so I really should getting around to picking one up! Cheers for reminding me!

After trying these I went back to the hori split pad, better quality and I can live without rumble, etc
The binboks are good. But I'd probably recommend the ECHTPower Joy-Cons befor them.
