This is an amazing price for this Bosch blue-line Li-Ion cordless drill and impact driver. I bought the drill alone from Bunnings for $382 in late 2009, it goes for around $300 now. The impact driver is about $500 locally (they come with 2.6Ah batteries here though).

You'll need a stepdown converter for the charger (about $24), OR a 240V charger ($46+ship).

Shipping to Australia is US$34.87. The set itself is US$155.

This is an Amazon Gold Box deal which expires in 22 hours (or when sold out), so be quick!

        • I asked at Alltools in Thomastown and they had stock of 30min chargers for $80. I forgot to ask about 60min but they might be worth a call.

  • +1

Got this from i-parcel for anyone who doesnt have any scans past departure yet:

Thank you for your email. I am showing that your parcel LANDED in country on April 21st, Australia (Melbourne). Once your parcel receives its indivual scan, it will undergo customs clearance and once cleared will be handed over to the last mile carrier (Australia Post) for final delivery to you under AUS Post tracking number

  • Strange things going on at Auspost in Sydney
    Last track from i-parcel was:
April 19, 2012 01:57:00 PM AU Arrived at destination country

Now Auspost tracking is telling me:
15/04/12 01:27 Article ready for despatch ALEXANDRIA BULK LODGEMENT CENT

So they claim they had it 4 days before it arrived in Australia
    wtfigo?

    • My tracking information is exactly the same as yours blibster - everything including the times. Who know's what is going on…

    • Mines the same. I think they must electronically submit a parcel with the local courier in advance so as to receive a shipping number. Agree that the descriptions could be better.

Mine now says awaiting customs clearance on the i-parcel tracking.

  • Delivered at 11.18 today:)
Signed up to Auspost tracking and got a couple of emails telling me it was en route with a driver.
Haven't seen it yet, but my better half reports that it was just dumped at the doorstep without them knocking on door and nothing to sign. Seems strange for something that is such a tasty treat for thieves.
Anyway, a happy end to my story - I hope all you others get yours soon.
I'm going home via Bunnings to buy some drill bits ….. Now, I wonder if there's any deals on OzB………

  • Great deal, thanks Eug for posting. Received my drill today as well, left on the front door. Luckily it was still there when I got home. The box was sealed when I received it however when I opened it I noticed that there were 2 air bags and the drill driver, battery charger and the spare battery weren't covered in plastic and were just place in the box, same with the instructions and the drill bit. Was everyone else's delivered this way? I hope I haven;t received a returned one or second. Thanks

    • +1

mine was also delivered that way.

      • Thanks Radar and blibster, I'm speculating here but it might be related to the sending of batteries in the post. Yes, interesting the way that Amazon packed the boxes, they were sent as is without being first placed in an Amazon box.

  • Yeah, my packaging was the same, pretty poor. Amazon hadn't exactly helped with their poor internal packaging. Everything was just rattling around
The drill and driver are great though. Charged them up (using step down unit purchased from eBay, per above post).
Very powerful and high quality tools

  • I got mine the other day. It wasn't 'packaged', not even taped, which makes me think there is some parts missing. I only got the magnetic attachment with a philips bit and a bit with both ends philips. Am I missing a flathead bit?

BTW, with the 'saving', I bought a proper box for them from bunnings:
    http://www.bunnings.com.au/products_product_kincrome-large-s…

Going to laser cut some foam for a perfect fit my drills.

    • Mine also only came with a magnetic attachment and philips head bit rattling around in the large box (no flathead).

I purchased the transformer from ebay recommended in this thread which looked like it had been thrown over a fence (dented) - but it still works fine so meh…

Awesome kit this is - I'm throwing my old Ozito in the bin.

  • wow Obake your going all out to protect your 2 new babies lol.

    Havnt received my drills yet..
The tracking is down on iparcel atm so cant access the linked auspost tracking.

Anyone seen decent deals on cordless bosch blue sanders, jigsaws or angle grinders?

    • I got the Grinder and Recipro Saw for $159 and $189 off ebay AU.
I also got the matching Pro series 18 volt Bosch RHH180B Heavy duty Rotary Hammer drill,SH180B Compact Bandsaw and JSH180B Jigsaw from Toolking.com.
These 3 cost $604 all up including delivery from USA.
Oh,I also got 2 x 3.0AH Genuine Bosch batteries from Oz Ebay seller for $189 inc. delivery for the 2.
My missus will kill me :) .

  • Hi everyone.

Big thank you to Eug for posting the original deal and everyone else for 240 charger solutions, iparcel experiences etc. Glad to see the thread is kept alive by all people waiting for their gear to arrive!

My combo arrive this morning - in a box fairly nicely packaged. I received a kit bag also (I didn't hear anyone else mention it, but I think it's a nice contractor bag). Was quite pleased by the package given feedback from others (whole thing was in a box - albeit it obvious box, rather than in 'a bag'?).

I was very concerned about package not arriving - my postie is pretty good in concealing packages delivered without signature. Must be one of the good ones thank goodness… I kudos the person who bought the 240 step down transformer before the drills arrived - I wanted to make sure the kit arrived first before getting accessories!

Anyway very pleased to have bought this deal - keep up the work all!

Also if you have a total tools near you:
    65 - 30 mins charger
    49 - 60 mins charger

also note for 1.3 battery it would be 1/2 the time to charge compared to 3.0
So if you bought the 30 minute charger it should take 15 mins to charge using the 30 minute charger according to total tools guy!

  • Mine arrived today. On the charger….took this into my local bunnings (https://www.alltools.com.au/shop/index.php/746/4375_Bosch_Ch…) and they ordered me one -10% so the 30 minute charger was $58.50 .. was fairly impressed with that outcome given Bosch tell me the rrp is $110 odd.

    • Hmm. Does Bunning's 10% policy mean "in stock on shelves" or "we stock this item, even if we have to order it in".

Just called up Bunnings special orders, price was like $110 for 60 minute charger!

      • They ordered it whilst I was there its not a stocked item …. Print the alltools link above and tell then you want that less 10%…happy shopping.

    • Last week I went to total tools and got quoted $89 for the 60 min charger…..Victoria tools quoted $115.

Quick question - did anyone see this:

    http://www.boschbestbuilt.com/18vpromo/

Worthwhile exploring in conjunction with a forwarding service?

    • thanks! I'm going to give this a try with shipito.

      • Can i ask how something like this would work? You mail the receipt/box code and entry to shipto, and they mail onto Bosch? What kind of cost?

        • I'm thinking:

          1. Provide shipto address for the batteries on rebate form.
          2. Mail the doco to Bosch
          3. Batteries go to shipto
          4. Shipto mail them to you
          5. Profit!
        • +1 to what floppydesk says.

    • damn… my order was placed on 12th of april and the promotion only valid on purchases dated 15th of april onwards…. arghhhhh!!!!!! T_T

      • I think everyone here put their order on 12 April as the stock ran out in few hours.
Unless if they ordered few days later, which wouldn't get the cheaper price.

      • damn! well spotted. Mine too :(

  • hey guys this might sound stupid but these are the first set of power tools i have bought. how blue are the tools meant to be, i know they come in blue/green, blue being the better ones. mine kinda look like a dark green. i can't tell.

    the box has CLPK23-180
    0601918373
    if that helps.
    thnaks

  • i cannot fkn believe this. package shown as delivered yet nothing. yesterday the trees on the nature strip and parts of the front yard where cut by the council or contractor.. maybe those bastards stole it..
contacted amazon and i have to speak to the large items team. any idea whats the go with them?

    • Mine said it was delivered too,but it arrived 2 days later.
      Here are my delivery details:

Welshpool Parcel Delivery Cent AU Delivered

WTF is Welshpool in NSW?? Definitely not where I live.
I wouldn't take too much notice of the delivery details being right.
Have you phoned the post office to confirm that they have actually delivered it?

  • I got the set late last week, I am wondering what drill and driver set should I buy to accompany my set. Either locally or from amazon, I tried to bought this one:
    http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004Q04AJM/ref=ox_ya_os_pro…
but it run out of stock.

  • A Big Thanks for the OP, my set turned up on Friday and my step down transformer(from the link took 2 days to be delivered) turned up today. So I am all charged and ready to go too easy…

  • Thanks OP, mine turned up at work today, required a signature, the drill was loose in the retail box which was inside a blank cardboard box. Also had the canvas bag. Now to get a charger

  • Local post office is useless..
Had a reg post card left in the mail today dated back to the 23rd of april..
    1 week late!!!
Went to the local po and they couldnt find the item and said to call their mail centre or something and that was that..

It isnt the drill as it said hk (hongkong) on the number thing..

Amazon tried to reorder the drill for me but the shipping restriction is in place..

    cant win lol.

  • Bah, my old man recently bought this from bunnings for ~$380 he said. If only I had known he needed it, I would have bought it when this was posted.. Wasted opportunity.

Wonder why they implemented the shipping restriction?

  • Gummibear do they actually sell the same bundle at bunnings?

    Never seen combo packs there.
