  • Great spec - where's the catch?
Oh - I get it - not the very latest GPU.
1 yr vs 2 yr warranty.
What's Dell warranty like? - I have found HP to be outstanding.

    • Same for dell.
I have the inspiron 7590 and had a couple of dead pixels 22 months after purchase, they came and changed all the top panel no questions asked.
Great battery life (I have the 97 wh version), great build quality as well.
I found the keyboard pretty good for long periods typing, but I made the mistake of purchasing a surface latop 3 (for my sister) and testing it for a couple of weeks, and that keyboard is beyond amazing, I'm spoiled now.
Personally, the most impressive thing I found is the cooling, as I run simulations (Hydrodynamics and CFD) for long time on it and it's able to keep a high frequency for a long time.
Screen is pretty descent as well.

The few complaints that I have are that after upgrading to windows 11, the trackpad has become laggy, still waiting for a driver update to adress that. Ana even though it's really sturdy, it picks up 'palm oils' like a champ. I recommend skinwraps au to wrap it up (Support our local small businesses, and they are freaking awesome as well).

Mine has the gtx1650ti, this is not a gaming laptop, it's more of a 15 inch professional laptop (and surprisingly light and portable) that can run games. I do play GTA V, FOrza Horizon and fifa from time to time with no issues.

    • It is actually one of the very latest GPUs, but being the latest doesn't mean it's any good, in fact it is nothing more than a steaming pile of crap!

Honestly after my last fiasco with Dell I will never ever purchase anything from them again.

They are shady, useless and good for nothing scammers.

They take payments on orders they can’t deliver for significant periods of time. Their customer service is extremely poor and will palm you off as your query bounces between departments.

And if you have a request under the Privacy Act, forget it! They’ll manipulate their notes and omit TOO much data. I can’t believe a company so big can get away with being so shady.

Can vouch for this, dell xps took over a month to arrive with poor quality control issues. Dell refused to replace the same model claiming no stock when there was stock shown where I brought it from. Called them out on it and they just changed it to out of stock wow.

    • I had one bad experience with Dell, a screen. Arrived damaged after long delays. Sent it back, again long delays, and then got my refund. Before the pandemic no issues. I don't think we can blame Dell for delays

      • We can when we’re two years deep in this shit. They intentionally mislead customers in order to make more sales. How can you say something will be dispatched in 2 days and a week later say it’s delayed by months?

You see: I’d accept it if this were a one off, but the internet is flooded with discussions about this very practice by Dell. I just can’t support any deal for Dell.
