  • Anyone got a source for those pitch fork plastic things that inevitably break on these?

    • 3d print them

This doesn't appear to be a bargain. Similar @ Bunnings for less - $13.98

    • -1

bunnings doent come with solar panel or battery :(

      • +3

these lights can be powered with an included solar panel or using a USB wall charger (not included).

And if you zoom in on the side of the box you can see it states the specs of the battery.

    • Only have two lighting modes and no colours

      • The title mentions two models. The Bunnings link is a comparison to the Warm White model.

8 modes vs 2 modes in my opinion doesn't make this a bargain. It's more like using Ozbargain for free advertising.

Also member zys0421 says the Bunnings ones are much better in terms of quality.

      Apples and oranges.

Completely different style of fairy lights.

The ones on Amazon are far better.

I have both styles and the Amazon style ones are better

      • I think you're right. Amazon ones are thin copper wire, Bunnings ones are that thick, black insulated wire.
Thin copper wire looks way better during the day, if that matters to you.

    • Completely different type of product though. This listing is Icicle even though it says Fairy, Bunnings is Fairy.

I bought the Bunnings one but returned as it stopped after a couple of days.

      • Don't bother with any of these cheapies, speaking from experience. They're landfill.

You want the ones with the glass panels double the size.

  • How long is the special on for op?

I’m sure he’ll be back next week.

    Hey OP
Price for the Rainbow $14.79 using coupon code for checkout.

  • bought both this and bunnings last year
I'd say bunnings are much better in terms of quality

    • I also bought both but I think Amazon are better quality and looks.

  • Purchased the Rainbow ones 26 November 2019 for $13.29 (Amazon AU)

i bought these rainbow ones about 2 years ago as well as a 'why not, its cheap' kind of thing and they are great, they have been outside since i got them and the solar panel has been hit with all different kinds of weather and doesn't have any problems

    • really? I bought 6 in total and 1 of them was not working straight from the package and there were 2 of them failed within 6 months of use.

      • damn, maybe i was just lucky? i figured if they gave out it wasn't too much lost but they have outlasted other ones i have bought after these [fairy light curtains] and theyre still going strong

      • Hi, can you send me the order id?

        • I've already returned them.

  • “Romantic gift for valentine”

Well that’s me sorted for this year. $14.24 is a steal.
