i dont think anyone is using an $83 chainsaw from any commerical uses unless its a movie trailer for "Texas Chainsaw Massacre Part 2: Electric Boogaloo"

      Where is the Chainsaw wrangler?

      Anyone…

      Has anyone seen Stumpy?

Great chainsaw just not this particular one. Try and get same Giantz unit with Oregon chain and bar. Will cost a little more but you will not be disappointed.

  • I bought a giantz pole chainsaw + hedge trimmer and I regret it lol. Its a pos. You get what you pay for with this brand! ($182 via catch).

I tightened a screw into what seems like solid metal…for the screw to snap off the metal (female part which screw screws into) which secures the pole from twisting. Luckily it came with metal extra poles.

I bought an ozito electric pole chainsaw (which doesnt extend to 4m) and got the job done. What a waste!

The chainsaw guard only comes off with a spanner and cant be hand adjusted (super annoying when you need to fix the chain).

Buyer beware! I now have to buy another one trimmer (getting DeWalt as im in that eco system). Wanted to get it something quick and yeah you pay for it with the downtime fixing all the bs.

My hedge was trimmed but with the screw problem the head just twists in itself with enough pressure. Its awkward and I'm going to move on/sunk cost

You might be able to get putty steel, and fill it and re drill/tap another thread. I got a "Black Eagle" combo a few years back with pole saw, hedger, brush cutter. It's got a Honda GX-35 4 stroke power head which has been faultless after 20 tanks of fuel, but it has the same sort of budget attachments and poles as the Giantz. But i mostly use the hedger attachment so i'm not changing poles often.

Bought the 96cc Giantz post hole digger with 3 different auger sizes which arrived the other day, have not unboxed it yet but time will tell. Hopefully it will last longer then $325.80 in hire fees then i'm in front lol.

  • Guaranteed to cut down 3 dandelions or your money back!

  • Bought one of these 2 years ago could never get it to start the wonders of chinese technology.

    • Has weird starting procedure that if you get wrong will then be difficult to start. Solution is a few squirts of wd40 or similar down carburetor throat and will start first pull.

      • Interesting… wonder if this would work on other small petrol motors? …

  • I wouldn't recommend buying now. Ozplaza inflates price during Sale, therefore would you end up paying much more. For example, https://www.ebay.com.au/bin/purchaseHistory?item=39309281932…, buy a bench at $80 after discount compared to $60 sold in December 2021. Ozplaza is next Kogan lol
