RTX 3060 for RTX 3060 Ti prices, what's not to love?

This is an RTX 3060 for 75% markup when prices are dropping internationally and you're promoting mining, which is not only dropping in returns quite sharply, but the major (and likely only regularly viable) GPU-mined coin is finally going proof of stake.

So a big fat neg for an awful deal, and some choice words for the damage you've been doing to our climate and our economy, you intellectually and morally drained dingbat.

Just a copy-paste from the last deal, the market is what it is. Find a 3060 Ti at this price point and I'll certainly buy one.

At the moment, your only real shot is Best Buy US when they drop FE cards, but mid-year would be when I'd expect things to have fallen through the floor.

But the RTX 40 series would be just over the horizon then, hopefully with no new GPU mining threat.

Semiconductor manufacturers are unfortunately talking about putting up prices by 20% over the next few months =(

I mean it's still miles, below what we're currently paying, but distributor costs will be going up….and I desperately need a new GPU! I so incredibly hope you're right about mid year lol.

            @incipient: Don't worry.

China will invade Taiwan and take over the semiconductor business.

People that think prices are high now will kick themselves when the CCP charge the 2x.

          • +2

@incipient: They've been talking 10-20% for a while now, but that can all revert with diminished demand and increased supply.

A correction is coming in these markets.

Good post. I hate how every GPU post is encouraging and discussing mining. It's pathetic. Can't wait for this cancer to be gone.

RRP AU$579, so $879 is just a ripoff being a 50% markup, the sooner people stop upvoting these so called 'deals' the better.

    • +2

The problem is people don't have a choice if they need a new GPU and while it's expensive it still looks to be the cheapest you can currently get.

    • +1

Those might have been launch prices, but they weren't anywhere near NVIDIA's suggested RRP. We were well into the crisis that is generating these price increases.

  • +3

We need to keep down voting these ripoff GPU deals to show our true ozbargainer spirit!

I only want to upgrade my old GTX 770 from 2014 for 4k video editing purposes (Paid $405 8 years ago!), sucks waiting indefinitely for pricing to become even somewhat reasonable.

Don't waste your time watching it. The full unlock using the driver method with not work with this card.

  • +1

BTW ETH 2.0 will take 6Y.

It's a l0000ng wait for prices to go down.

    • Prices are already going down, but what we're all interested in is disincentivising GPU mining, and mining in general.

  • +3

You only get 70-74% hashrate anyway so miner's aren't buying these

Lol at the vitriol towards miners, most steer clear of anything LHR so pricing is mainly due to other factors these days

  • Any actual comments about the eVGA 3060 Graphics Card quality?

    Ok let's start people off,..

So is it true eVGA graphics cards are inferior compared to Asus, MSI, Gigabyte and Zotac Graphics Cards?

    Bring it on!!! lol

    • I have one and it's fine, but each brand has different levels of build
This is at the lower tier but evga are a good brand overall

I was all for holdor, until the 1060 died and it was either a laptop or graphics card at 4pm Saturday with deadlines on Monday…

  • Good upgrade from gtx1080 ?
