This thread serves to let everyone know how much you have saved on your 7/11 fuel app. Please see the archived thread (January 2017 - January 2022) for previous discussions.

Step 1: Subscribe to this thread to get email updates. You can change your subscription settings in your Ozbargain account to enable more/less email updates.

Step 2: Upon filling up simply fill in the details in this format:

  • NAME OF 7/11 STORE
  • PETROL TYPE
  • PETROL PRICE

Example:

  • Richlands QLD
  • ULP
  • 111.9/litre

      Rule is to lock, if its interstate, wait 24 hours before you redeem the lock.

        I hope this method works. I locked interstate 2 weeks back on my first chopper since the Android version stopped working ~1 year ago. I redeemed it perfectly after waiting a few days. I'm just going to keep on locking whenever I see a good deal pop up on Ozb and then within the week I can head to a pump and fill up if needed. Best strat I reckon

          Keep having multiple accounts as well. So if another good deal pops up, you can still lock it in.

    The party seems to have ended unfrotuantely. I have been using old iPhone connected and choppered via 3uTools successfully until a month ago. Then error A01 cropped up, which was resolved by tethering to anohter mobile (to bypass IP crock check of location?). Now that isn't working and I'm at a loss… Any other suggestions?

        Some people have success using VPN to spoof IP address, others just switch between wifi/mobile data and it works, others get their whole phone banned first time trying it. It's all luck based now sadly.

      I have seen $1.68 in my travels around Melbourne recently. A bit below at Costco. Not sure $1.669 is that amazing

        Wild how prices are different across Costco's in Melbourne, $1.717 in Epping…. Cheapest appears to be Ardeer $1.677

      Mobile fuel vs a generic? Your choice obviously but I love playing “Price Lock”
      Back in the old days before max 25c/litre I managed a $70 discount on a tank. Even the counter assistant was impresssed

      Use for account that are not linked to velocity rewards or anything really. They lock the account and you pretty much cant do anything

        If you find yourself going down plenty rd Oom Energy in Kingsbury seems to be the best for local prices. Even beats out Costco most weeks. Filled there at 1.509 yesterday and Costco was at 1.570

        I just did fuel lock from home and it picked up Mill Park at $1.549. might come in handy next weekend.

    Anyone getting Error E03 when "flying" within their own state to lock? Can still lock legitly but whenever I chopper it, it comes up with this error.
    Tried switching accounts as well but face the same issue.

      Mine is still working file… Always only lock in own state. Always wait for a reasonable time to redeem based on where I locked…
