I can't see an update history on the app store so I'm not sure if I'm attempting to get v1.1. I'm still getting an error as it requires iOS 15.2+ and I'm on 14.8.

Would I be able to download it to an iPad?

Widget and price history would both be awesome. Nice work!

      • +1

my bad, poor choice of words. It's ready for review in the App Store process, not for consumer/user review. Just saying version 1.1 should come out in the next day or two.

It works on iPad but I have to resize all the fonts and create the App Store screenshots for the iPads. it's probably a day or an afternoon of work if I'm caffeinated enough.

      • +1

I've put in some compatibility code for 14.7. I'll see how low I can get bring it down

  • +1

The My 7-Eleven App will be put into maintenance mode for an update during the following times:

    Tuesday 15 February 2022 from 1AM until 3AM AEDT
Wednesday 16 February 10PM to Thursday 17 February 2AM AEDT
During these times you won't be able to use the My 7-Eleven App, but everything will be just the way you left it when it's back online.

Fingers crossed choppers can still fly after this.

    • +3

App seems to be down now for me, can't access any offers or rewards and existing fuel lock is missing.

      • +1

Same here with me - was able to lock in fuel about an hour ago. However, existing fuel lock is missing and prompted with an error when trying to lock in a price - "That didn't work quite as planned, there seems to be a problem. Error A01."

        • I’m also getting A01 error but when I first open the app. I went through the Archived thread and there’s only one other report of it and it may be related to lock per device limit.

Edit: logged in to the same main account on my iPad instead of my iPhone and am receiving the same errors

      • Yea I just checked. You are right.

      • +3

        Back up and running now!

  • Same here , need to fill today!

    • +1

You can still do it - keep receipt and lodge through the app (Settings > Contact Us > Fuel Price Lock). Note that customer service will say that their T&C only allows them to send you a gift card but actually states "16.25 Unless otherwise requested by you, the value of the difference will be provided via a gift card which may be used at any 7-Eleven store"

      • So what’s the alternative? A refund? Dunno if headquarters can do that though
And probably most of us use 7/11 enough that a gift card is essentially the same haha

      • Have you received something other than a gift card? I'd prefer a gift card over a cheque.

        • Lodged so it remains to be seen…

      • Last time I did this, my accounts got banned.

  • its working now but dont know if the lockin still works

  • @cwongtech

Thanks so much for the instructions! I was able to save my previously bricked Pixel 2 and bring it back to glorious life!

I’m on iOS so I can’t help but I’m sure someone might. They will want more information on your setup though.

  • Hm, cant seem to change which any parameter - country, city, fuel type to view graph on on the informedsources site on my android phone. Switching to desktop mode dosent help either. Its just stuck on the defaulted search setting,

  • Working fine on iphone

  • Some one please rescue.. my chopper has gone down!

Have you tried to turn it off and on again?
      Seriously it works wonders haha

Otherwise, go to dev options, try toggling "Select Mock location app" to none then back to your target again

If you still can't resolve it, send me a PM, I'll provide temporary relief for you

    • I'm on the same boat. Have you solved it?

      • +3

        Hey Deckoy, satellite approached me
        Issue was resolved.
Issue: No smali patcher module installed in Magisk.

Workaround, follow instructions in my configuration guide to generate the Smali Patcher module, then move into your target phone and install using Magisk Manager.

        • +2

Ah yes, the smali patcher.. I upgrade to magisk 24.1 and everything went haywire. I will do this tonight and follow your guide. Cheers!

  • Been setting up an old galaxy s7 to fly between other jobs all day. This is turning out to be quite a mission.

    • I was able to do it on an S6 Edge+
      S7 should be okay..

  • +5

Sorry no good news about petrol falling but Pump It Up 1.3 has been submitted for review, turnaround to hit the App Store is usually no longer than 1-2 days.
    - Price history inside each fuel type. (data sourced from https://projectzerothree.info/prices.php but stored on my own instance). There's not much data currently but over time you should see it accumulate. In terms of costs, the daily limit should be more than enough for this community.
    - Minor aesthetic fixes.

    enjoy.

    • +2

Can I ask how the notification system works? Thanks.

      • +3

Currently, you should be alerted to greater than 4 cent discounts. Usually in my experience, 0 - 4 cent discounts can be had locally anyway, so the app aims to highlight bigger discounts that are logistically difficult to obtain. This saves on the app sending a notification out each time a smaller discount occurs - unless people prefer that, I'll see what the potential costs might be first I can't remember off the top of my head.

Other than the recent E10 discount, trend has only been going up. https://projectzerothree.info/trends.php

I think there actually may be a bug with the alerts at the moment, I'll be looking into it.

        • +3

I like the idea of greater than 4 cent drops. Even a custom amount would be nice. I'd always be keen for a great than 8 cent drop. Especially considering U98 is typically 8 cents higher than U95, and U95 is typically 12 higher than U91.

          • +2

@sween64: yeah custom alerts are good, similar to the elevenme app although that alerts you at price thresholds rather than differences. it's something for me to look in to.

iPad support should be available soon - in v1.3.1. Am still waiting on Apple to approve v1.3

            • @nicolascage: i like the big font however there's missing space between 98 xxx.xc and 91 xxx.xc

            • @nicolascage: Behaviour of the iPad version is the same as the iPhone version. Including the medium and large widget display bug during light mode.

    • +2

yeah a feature i would like would be "This fuel is the lowest price it's been in x days" for a desired fuel type. I'd be more inclined to remember to lock for something like that.

      • I was thinking of doing weekly summary notification. something similar although you're looking to receiving it for a specific fuel which is logical since most cars can only accept 1 or 2 different types max anyway

    • +1

Did you receive my feedback via email on Monday?

      • +2

Yep received, will look into those issues.

1.0 -> 1.1 requires a reinstall to reinitialise the internal database. but if you did that and it's still showing 0.0, does this happen for all widget sizes? I actually just tested on a different device and the widget previews (the new panel that shows all the widget sizes) doesn't get filled on the other device but it does on mine..

if you declined to receive remote notifications, I'm afraid that requires a reinstall for the time being, accept notifications to be able to configure settings.

        update:
try installing v1.2. I noticed you emailed from 1.1 and emailed you back

        • +1

          I never installed v 1.0. I've only had v 1.1 on my phone.

Small appears to display the prices but hasn't updated despite the app showing the correct prices. Whilst medium and large do not display any prices. The 0.0 I referred to in my email appears to be the recent price change whilst the price doesn't display at all.

        • +1

Hi, the widget is not working with light mode but working with dark mode on my iPhone 7 Plus and xs Max , pump it up version is 1.3.1.

          • @Joseph123: Which size widget? The small works in both light and dark mode for me. iPhone XS, iOS 14.8, PIU v 1.3

            • +1

@sween64: My small widget works in both light and dark mode, but the medium and large widget only work in dark mode.

              • +1

@Joseph123: Ah yes, same here. Medium and Large might be white on white, while small changes to black text om white GB.

          • @Joseph123: thanks, I'll try fix it as on my device (iPhone 8), switching between light/dark mode via the control panel automatically adjusts the text colour. So this will need some tinkering around if not just detecting the appearance and forcing the colour a certain way.

Also aware of the previews not always appearing as well

            • +1

@nicolascage: My app doesn’t update without me pulling down to force a refresh. I didn’t receive any notification today for the 7 cent drop on P95.

              • +1

@sween64: Neither. I spent last night having a look at it and rewrote some code on the server side. The widget refresh I'm look at now

                • @nicolascage: push an incorrect notification that should not have been there.. made fix during lunch for it.

  • +3

Also worthwhile to have multiple accounts to act as a backup and lock fuel then cherry pick which one is the cheapest at a point in time.

  • Hey guys and girls, I've been trying and trying to get this working on a Pixel 4a running android 12. So I've successfully rooted and got magisk going along with the GPS joystick app, but I'm still getting the location is not correct error when trying to lock the fuel. So I've done some poking around and I've got everything set up as described in the guides (I think). I've got Smali patcher installed, I've got xprivacyLUA going, LDSposed and kdrag0n's unversal safetynet fix installed and have added everything to the denylist in Magisk but like I said, still getting the error in the 7/11 app. It's also failing safetynet check. It passes basic, but fails on the CTS profile check which is weird because I've done the magisk props file thingo and changed the fingerprint to pixel 3a which supposedly should eliminate hardware attestation and if it doesn't everyone else seems to have fixed it with the universal safetynet fix. Anyone got any ideas?

    • Smali Patcher can only do Android 10 and 11 from what I know.

Zygisk and Lsposed framework (Riru?) is what's needed for Android 12.

One of the more adventurous OzB members on Android 12 may be able to help

      Check this comment

      • Yeah I followed CheapoJohnno's guide from page 146 of the archived thread but still came up short. The thing is that Riru and such are deprecated now and the dev has recommended moving to Zygisk, Which is fine, but if you have Zygisk enabled in Magisk you can't use those modules unless you get the Zygisk ones. You also can't use the denylist if you disable Zygisk. It feels like it has something to do with the separation between Magisk and MagiskHide.

  • Anyone know how to figure out "which account" you are logged in as in the 7-11 App? I can't seem to find it anywhere. Very annoying.

  • I've got an interesting situation where I've set this up on a second older phone.. and before safetynet, I could lock fuel on the chopper phone, then sign out/in on the normal phone and the lock would be there.

Now, I've locked on the doner, and the voucher is there, but signing out/in on the normal phone still has me able to make a local lock.

    Is this new/expected behavior?

Edit: Or doesn't it matter because you're just showing your "My Card" barcode and it's tied to that?

    • Now, I've locked on the doner, and the voucher is there, but signing out/in on the normal phone still has me able to make a local lock.
      Is this new/expected behavior?

      Not expected behaviour
Sometimes it takes a few seconds for the normal phone to recognise there is an active voucher.
Normally relaunching the app or signout/signin forces a refresh

I've got an interesting situation where I've set this up on a second older phone.. and before safetynet, I could lock fuel on the chopper phone, then sign out/in on the normal phone and the lock would be there.

So you're saying your chopper phone still operates normally now? "after safetynet?"

Edit: Or doesn't it matter because you're just showing your "My Card" barcode and it's tied to that?

It is, but make sure your fuel lock is actually active before you go instore..

    Hi All,

Very late to the scene, wondering if this still works? I have Android 11 currently installed on my phone.

    Thanks

      Read the OP

  • Does anyone know why you can't patch the APK anymore?

  • +1

Anyone on a pixel 4a with android 12, don't flash all the props files under device simulation in MagiskProps. Mine was boot looping and now after flashing stock boot.img again it will boot loop after flashing any patched boot image.

    • I've never used Device Simulation… what happened to "rolling back"/flashing android 10/android 11 for simplicity?

      • This happened a few days ago. Rolling back is going to wipe the phone and it's my main one so if I can avoid it I'd rather not

        • Rolling back is going to wipe the phone and it's my main one so if I can avoid it I'd rather not

          Ah.
No spare phones to use instead?

          • @cwongtech: So I tried rolling back to a11 this afternoon, which turned out to be no hassle since I had a cloud backup that I restored and lost pretty much nothing. Fiddled around with xPrivacyLua and got my helicopter. I also accidentally bought a Pixel 2 on ebay for 45 bucks so I've got a backup anyway. Probably not a bad thing to have regardless.

            • @huy:

My phone goes to bootloop when flashing smali patcher generated zip 😭

    • You.. add it in magisk manager

      Why are you flashing it?

    • Similar issue when adding Smali patcher to Magisk with me too, soft bricked my device twice following the guide.
Passed all SafetyNet tests before adding Smali to Magisk, running Android 12.
