  • I somehow deleted my magisk (I think) so I'm going through the process of it again.

I for the life of me can't remember how I did it.

I have a Lenovo Tab 4 (8504f) and I can't seem to get past the fastboot screen to get into the bootloader so I can update my smali patcher and reinstall magisk. Anyone help me out???

I do 200km a day for work and desperately need to be able to lock fuel.

Send PM if you can help please.

    • +1

      Magisk is an APK
You can install it whether rooted or not

When it's rooted you'll see multiple buttons to install modules and what not, in the magisk manager app

To root you need to load the patched boot IMG into boot partition.

I've gone through the concepts in my config guide in the top of this post..

Don't have a Lenovo p4 to give specific instructions

      • different to OP but i'm trying this on a pixel 5, i've done everything in your instructions however my smali is 7.4 instead of 6.9 and i'm constantly being told "we've detected your location isn't true" - should I try your version of smali or any other ideas?

        I pass all SafetyNet checks

        • Are you on Android 12?

Smali works only up to android 11 I believe

You'll need to use mockmock locations from what I know

Another chopper pilot with android 12 will need to assist

          • @cwongtech: Ahh OK. Yes, I'm using the latest 12. Perhaps I should have tried 11.

I'll check out mockmock, thank you.

          • +1

@cwongtech: Thanks mate – got it to work using this guide (and substituted Mock Mock with Hide Mock Locations)

Running Android 12 Plus on Pixel 2 XL (Pixel Experience ROM)

      • Thanks for your instructions. I unlocked the bootloader on my old Moto G5Plus and got stuck when I couldn't find custom ROMs. Only then did I see the bit about >Android 10 minimum requirement. Sourcing a cheap, used iPhone might be the easiest workaround

        • +1

          https://forum.xda-developers.com/f/moto-g5-plus-roms-kernels…

Look for any LineageOS 17 (android 10) or 18 (android 11), there are custom ROMS for Android 10 and above for your Moto G5 Plus

Your phone is definitely capable of flying

I worked on a Moto G8, that was was pretty much the same steps as a Pixel

      • Yeah I've ran into a heap of roadblocks.

I ran the magisk and copied the boot.img but when I tried to flash it, it wouldnt work. No matter what I tried.

I have a hidden magisk but it doesn't have all the extra buttons or anything.

I can't even see the safetynet trial button anymore to see if I passed safetynet. Is this because I didn't patch the boot.img from magisk?

When I use fakegps it changes location and everything… But when I try to lock diesel it says oops err001

        • I can't even see the safetynet trial button anymore to see if I passed safetynet. Is this because I didn't patch the boot.img from magisk?

Newer Magisk versions have the SafetyNet test removed
Download an alternative SafetyNet Test app from the Play Store

I have a hidden magisk but it doesn't have all the extra buttons or anything.

Probably means you don't have root done?

I ran the magisk and copied the boot.img but when I tried to flash it, it wouldnt work. No matter what I tried.

Make sure you're flashing the right one.

When I use fakegps it changes location and everything… But when I try to lock diesel it says oops err001

          That's safetynet fail.

I've never tried to set up an Android Tablet for choppering
          - Didn't even know it was possible because I thought you would need GPS to run 7/11 or see it in the app store, but I suppose smali patcher would take care of that..

          • @cwongtech: All good. I'll start from scratch and give it another go. Thanks.

          • +3

@cwongtech: I persevered. Started from the start, put in resurrection remix this time and went step by step and it all went without a hitch. Took me a few hours while I juggled my kids but I'm up and flying.

  • Just tried to login into the 7-Eleven app and had the following error:
"There's been a problem logging you in" "Error G09"
Called 7-11 support and was told the IT had suspended that account without providing a reason (supposedly rarely put a reason on the notes).
Been using my chopper to lock in fuel for ages without a problem. The only reason that I can thing I have done differently is change my time zone to Kiribati (gives me an extra couple of hours on top of the 7 days lock in with fuel prices as they are.

Has anyone had their account suspended and able to un-link the velocity account? To use on a fresh account?

    • +1

      Kiribati

That should be enough to flag your account as it's outside Australia. 7-11 fuel lock is only for use within Australia.

    • Do you set it to Kiribati when you lock the price? They’re GMT +13.

      • I did it once or twice to get the extra hours on my chopper lock ins. It turns out that the 7-11 IT flags this and suspends the account. So just flagging that it for others and seeing if anyone has had an account suspended with a linked velocity card and applied it successfully again to a new account.

  • my imac is running ios 10.12.6 and i cant seem to find the corresponding ios support for it.. anyone have any advice?

  • just an update on Refinery Corio vic showing 189.9 for u91 when I locked its 187.9

    • +6

Investigating the issue, looks like both Refinery and P03 stopped updating at around 7pm.

9:35pm Update: Issue fixed on Refinery.

      • @master131 are you aware of the issue?

VU thanks for the quick fix to refinery

        • +8

Yes, they have a new API now but I am at work so will have to look at it later.

        • +7

All good now, thanks for everyone's patience.

  • How often does 11-7 update? Current prices show midvale WA the cheapest with 98 @ 209.3 but 7-11 app has 98 @ 2.19.

    • Project zero three?
      Every hour or so

    • Refinery just updated now

    • Thanks

Being someone who always used an old iOS device for this, I have just decided to set up my old Android tablet to be the main lock in device, and I have found success at every point in the process, but now when I open the 7/11 app, it shows my chopper location in the background of the fuel lock, but when I tap on 'find my best local price' it tells me that I need to enable Google's Location Services for a better experience, which if I turn on, gives the app my real location rather than the mock one, and if I chose 'no thanks' it then tells me that I need to enable location services in my settings to proceed. Anyone have any idea on how to stop the app from wanting me to enable Google Location Services?

  • -1

Is there a guide for using ifakelocation for the first time on iOS 15.3.1? I have locked the location on ifakelocation but don't know what to do from there.

    • I have it working on your IOS. Once location prompt of being successful come up on your computer screen. Just open the 7/11 app and lock in

    • -1

Anyone knows how often does the price updates at one station? I would prefer to fill up at sunday night after the weekend outing. So it would be best to lock one week prior at the same time too. but I am afraid the price might be gone if I wait too long

    • +1

      No one knows

It updates when a new fuel truck comes in.

The only thing you can do is lock in one now and create another account and if available, lock again later..

      • what's the average interval it updates?

    • Published 13 September 2021….Thanks for bringing it to our attention again.

      • +2

Nor does it talk about any helicopter methods.

  • Is there a proper workaround for smali patcher on android 12 yet? Tried the alternative riru / lsposed / mockmocklocation method, but for some reason appninja's gps joystick doesn't produce any results when you search for a location/suburb/postcode, even though the same app still works properly on my non-android 12 phone. Also rubberbands like crazy when I try to move somewhere else.

    • I thought Riru is being decommissioned?

      Maybe you need zygisk lsposed?

      • Lol yeah that's what I ended up doing. Also found out the no results issue was due to the energized protection adblock module I was using, but I have no idea what to whitelist for the joystick so I simply went back to adaway for now and the search results are working again.

  • +3

I'm not sure who needs to read this but please stop asking people for locks if they aren't actively advertising it on deals/classified.

  • I can't log in to any of my accounts. It shows "there's been a problem logging you in. Error G09" anyone know why?

    • -2

      anyone know why?

      7-Eleven should know.

          • @jv: I don't know. You need to ask them. That's how I got my accounts banned

I’ve locked many times across state borders and haven’t been banned.

    E10 @ 185.5cpl
    U95 @ 194.5cpl

I suspect with the fuel excise changes it will get even cheaper tomorrow, otherwise if you need it now - get to the chopper and lock it in Eddie!

    • Eddie is annoying

    • Yep for a few days, then school holidays start (in Qld) on Fri, so I guess the price will jump 22c on Thurs night. Unless of course the petroleum industry want to get the Federal Govt re-elected again & keep prices at the bottom of the cycle… although with school holidays and then 3 long weekends in a row in Qld, that's a lot of profits going down the gurgler.

Nah thats just price cycle. Will see a further 30c lower ibreckon

      • Hope your right. If the terminal gate price is anything to go by there's still some room for price drops between that and retailer margins etc - fingers crossed. If they pass it through is a different story.

        https://www.aip.com.au/pricing/terminal-gate-prices

        • Interesting that it's dropped 27-28c in 5 days. Our local servo's have dropped less then 20c. In $au Oil has dropped $150->133/barrel in the past week.

It should drop more, but let's see if the petrol companies want to pass on the tax cuts & wholesale pricing drops.

    hey guys,

So I currently have an iPhone 6s and I can use ifakelocation effectively, to lock fuel prices.

What I would like to know is if there is any way to fake location without having to connect my iphone to my PC?

    Cheers!

    • Not for an iPhone, unless you jailbreak it

      • best ios15 jailbreak?

        • you're in for a wait

        • +1

There’s none yet. iOS 14.8 is one of the latest (if not the latest) iOS with an available jailbreak.

  • Looking at the price graph on project zero three, looks like 7/11 nationally hasn't kept up with the U91 average. Historically you could get a lock well below the national average but it appears that currently 7/11 is dearer by some margin.

    • Not entirely surprised, 7-Eleven is rarely the cheapest fuel station in my local area.
It's normally the local independents. Weirdly enough in my area the Ampol Woolworths is currently cheapest.

  • Current best prices for history. Good news in that they are still coming down.

If history is anything to go by, 7/11 is normally within 4-5c of Costco pricing, expecting 183cpl~ for 98… Will just take time

Great prediction! You're almost there. Tomorrow 7/11 Cockburn Central 98 is 185.9

    • I wonder if there is there a way to actually set the Google script alert to alert you when the price drops more than a percentage rather than dropping below an absolute figure?

      • Check P03. If you can do some basic scripting, you can setup something like this.

        • No I don't know how to script - where can I learn please?

I can see the generated code and the variable. But not sure where to touch. I can give it a go somehow.

And it's named after Cockburn in Scotland, where they pronounce it as you see it :)
