  • I have 2 accounts on the 7-11 app. I have been using 2 of my ipads to fake the GPS. however one of my ipad cannot login anymore. the password and username are correct. the app shows there is a problem please check FAQ. however these 2 accounts both working on my other devices.

I have uninstalled the app and reinstalled still the same.

Any idea how to solve it?

  • -1

Was just trying to lock myself, but looks like I'm receiving the A01 error. Looking at the history it looks like people had the same issue but not sure what the problem was. Anyone else facing the same issue ?

    • A01 = try restarting your phone, some network error glitch.
I've resolved it by airplane mode on and off then relaunching 7/11 app

My choppers are still flying fine, just carried out a lock to test for you.

      • -1

Awesome, thanks for testing it out. I did restart the phone but still doesn't work. Since you mentioned it worked for you, I tried to lock on a friend's account, and it worked on his account.

Really strange. I'm now thinking if the account has been flagged for misuse !

        • Really strange. I'm now thinking if the account has been flagged for misuse !

Alternate is potentially it did lock, and it's gone into a glitch (where the locking phone thinks there isn't an active voucher, so the locking buttons are there, but you can't execute the lock, due to pre-existing lock)

Try login to the target account on your personal phone (the one that showed A01), you might be surprised there may already be an active lock on it.

          • @cwongtech: Wow, I must appreciate your ideas there. Just to record the outcome, here is what I tried:
Logged in with my personal phone (where I don't have the chopper). There was no active lock. Tried to lock in locally, was still getting the same error on my personal phone.

Logged out, and logged back in, still the same issue.

Restarted the phone, still the same issue.

I'm now guessing the issue is with the account!

  • I was just told by the store clerk that the 7/11 app hasn't been working for them for the last few days and told me to email a copy of the receipt to claim the difference which will be mailed out as a gift voucher. Is this happening to anyone else, particularly in Brisbane?

    • +1

They just don’t want to give you the discount despite the fact they don’t even pay for it…

    • +1

This happened to me last night (Riverhills).

It has never been an issue before, and the attendant seemed genuinely fed up with explaining it to people so I have no reason to doubt his story.

I sent an email to 7-11 with the receipt and screenshot, so we'll see what happens. The receipt does say 'my card' and the dude did scan it so I assume that'll help.

I have a 70l tank, so would have been about a $33 discount.

      • Just got an email from 7-11 saying they'll be posting me a gift card - so it's worth contacting them if your discount doesn't work.

    • +1

Is it just fuel or free coffee to?

It did happen to me for free coffee once, but has worked on my next visit.

    • Filled up 98 in Graceville last night with 2x jerry cans as well. No issues thankfully.

Filled another car with 91 in Willawong this morning and no issues either.

  • +1

U91 will be 151.9 tomorrow in Bassendean, WA

  • +22

I've made an update to Refinery.FYI to show tomorrow's prices when available from FuelWatch (after 2:30 PM AWST) if they're different than the current best prices. That should help decide whether you need to lock before or after a price change.

    • +1

      Brilliant, great add!

      • where do we see the "tomorrow price"?

        • +4

It'll be in a banner at the top, but it only shows after 2:30 PM AWST/4:30 PM AEST and if the price will be different than it is currently.

          • @vu: Banner is showing but as the prices will be the same it just has brackets.

            • @sween64: Thanks, quite possibly it tried to fetch the data from FuelWatch when it hadn't updated yet. Already built in checks to not display if it's the same price. Will change it to start showing from 3 PM AWST/5 PM AEST for now given it's Easter and I won't have much time to check over the weekend.

              • @vu: Keep it simple, already looks awesome, thanks for all your hard work.

              • +1

@vu: It appears to be working as expected now. Nice work.

          • @vu: can you update the site so that it shows the price change from yesterday to today? i.e. make the banner visible all times? That way, we'll know whether the trend is downwards or upwards? (for people outside WA who don't track the trend daily)

            • +1

              @zooter:

can you update the site so that it shows the price change from yesterday to today?

              Why?

All that is important is the current purchase price.

            • +2
            • +4

@zooter: Thanks for the suggestion however it's not something I'm considering at the moment. As sween64 mentioned, P03 has a great trends page that you may wish to use.

The main goal of my site was to find out where it's currently the cheapest as I have a habit to only lock when the fuel light lights up and I need to fill up - even if that means missing a cheaper price a few days earlier.

              • @vu: thanks….

@jv - reason for my question is it maybe important for people with multiple 7-11 accounts to keep some price locks handy as the price keeps going down (without choppers)

Not the greatest discount (and not 98 RON) but better than nothing

  • 7-11 App is not good value at the moment.

I just filled up with U91 for 148.9 after discount vouchers at Shell Express.

Hi all, (and special thanks to cwongtech)
Have a newly build chopper BUT either the rotors are missing or this pilot is blind/or an idiot!
    HTC M7 rooted,Lineage 18.1 running Android 11
    All instructions religiously followed.
    Safetynet passes a-ok
Magisk 24.3 installed / hidden and modules loaded, safetynet fix, props etc
Magisk settings Zygist on, deny list for apps selected and denylist enforced
SmalipatcherModule installed and boot image updated/flashed
    Ninja installed, renamed/hidden original uninstalled
    Location disabled for everything
Mock location app (renamed version) selected in Developer options
Fire up 7-11 and logged in ok.
    Never any errors BUT….

This is where the pilot does not get his wings…
The app ALWAYS wants to have location turned on, even if I have set wifi and bluetooth location off, it wants them on as well.

Any suggestions of something that I missed would be received with due humility.

    • My pilot doesn't respect the 'airplane mode' mandate and leaves location turned on (then the mock overrides it).

Other than that, sounds like yours and mine have a similar setup (Galaxy S8 here)

    • I had something similar and had to reinstall fakegps to get it to work
which mock location app are u using?

  • @senorclean
That is the crux of the issue.
Location off and the app wants it on,
Turn it on and the location is always the real GPS.
So, in effect, mocking (with Ninja app) is not working.
Although there is no SIM in the phone, it should not make any difference.

    • So, in effect, mocking (with Ninja app) is not working.

Did you activate the target location?

Turn it on and the location is always the real GPS.

      That's really weird

Although there is no SIM in the phone, it should not make any difference.

Whether SIM is present does not make a difference, I have 9 chopper phones operating with no SIM card installed

  • @cwongtech
If you mean target in deloper options set to ninja's new name, yes.
App refuses to continue unless location is enabled, have also turned off wifi/bluetooth gps and emergency locations.
    Ninja app teleports ok.
But does not place that data in the gps location…OR the app does not read the mock location.
Have all weekend to play some more!

  • Seems like prices are back down to pre-russia levels with 91 around the 140 mark. Sad times for diesel owners though.

    • -1

i reckon them might trend up again

  • +2

    @cwongtech
I went back to LineageOS 17.1
Thank you very much for all your kind assistance, I now have a chopper!
It was a close thing between your alternate option and two phones into the bin!
Thanks again, now will attempt to fly it!

  • This thread's continuation has gone very quiet?
Does it mean all choppers are grounded?

FYI, successully built and refueled chopper on a HTC One M7 using LineageOS 17.1
Might re-try using old Samsung S3 -as this retired IT person wants to keep ye olde brain box active/.

Thanks for earlier assistance to all on earlier thread (Pages 1 to 148), yes I read them first!

    • This thread's continuation has gone very quiet?
Does it mean all choppers are grounded?

No, no news is good news (normally!)

      • Yes, and also @Marty156, try to keep comments in one comment section by replying to the post, rather than creating new posts within the overall thread, makes it cleaner.

  • +3

Looks like WA prices are going up tomorrow - though not a massive jump - but still might be a good time to lock in.

  • And U91 is cheaper than E10!

  • Has anyone else gotten the error: "That didn;t work quite as planned, there seems to be a problem. Error A01."?

I think I must have jumped into the chopper too many times too quickly, as I can still lock on other accounts…

    • Do you have one account per phone or multiple accounts on the same phone that you log in and out of?

      • I have multiple accounts on the same phone that I log in and out of.

But I even tried different accounts on that phone, it works. While I tried the errored account on a different phone, it still didn't work…

    • +2

Max 2 locks in 24 hours mate as per App T&C’s mate

      • +2

I didn’t think that was enforced anymore. @cwongtech do you know?

        • +1

It's not enforced, it used to be (Rooted android would need to switch the android ID in the past) but that was when it was using the old app (before it was rebuilt with Safetynet)
The way to get around it when we had the magical APKs by Freighter and Master131 was also to use App Cloner which can assign randomized Android IDs to each iteration of the cloned APK (worked because no safetynet test at the time)

A01 seems to be a weird glitch for me when the account has already locked in the price, (and viewable on my main non-rooted phone) but on a chopper phone it thinks it doesn't and displays the options to find your best local price and lock.

I'd try log in and log out to force a refresh, but you can also make a new account haha

          • @cwongtech: Ah, didn't know about the 2 locks in 24hrs - guess I will soon find out if waiting 24hrs will solve the problem.

But so far, I've logged in and out with both phones, still got the error. Tried to lock using a chopper - error. Tried to lock locally - error.

Shell keep you guys updated after the 24hrs lapses.

            • @Charles89:

But so far, I've logged in and out with both phones, still got the error. Tried to lock using a chopper - error. Tried to lock locally - error.

              Try a different account maybe?

              • @cwongtech: With a different account, I can lock it in without any problems.

      • +2

Alright, 24hrs has lapsed, and I can lock it in again.

So I can confirm that >2 locks in 24hrs will result in Error A01, which will resolve itself.

        Thanks everyone.

        • So I can confirm that >2 locks in 24hrs will result in Error A01, which will resolve itself.

So A01 is an account limitation then?
If so, no wonder I almost never hit this, I have way too many 7/11 accounts haha

Previously before the app was rebuilt - it was 2 locks per device (android ID, addressable by assigning a new Android ID via AppCloner or rooted phone Android ID changer) not per account

          • +1

@cwongtech: Yup, can confirm it is definitely linked to account, rather than device.

This is the first time I've hit 2 locks within 24hrs too, had to help a mate fill up. Was worried for a bit that 7/11 didn't like my chopper.

    • +1

      And???

    • +5

      Wow $149.50/L that's a bit expensive.

      I just filled up U91 $1.473/L

      • Where?

      • Wow $149.50/L that's a bit expensive.
        Ahhh, the good old days…

    • U91 was cheaper than E10 at 147.3c/L a day ago.

    • It is just 1 cent cheaper than the second cheapest servo according to projectzerothree. Not a deal, just normal fuel cycle.

    • -4

Anyone know if they still allow location spoofer?

      • +2

        what's that?

        • +3

          I’d like to know too.

  • +8

Hi all! It's so nice to come back to this thread, even as a Version 2. I spent a lot of time in the old thread before 7-11 stopped me from using my Android 6 device.

I have just acquired an iPhone for next to nothing with a broken screen solely for this purpose and it works fine - no issues at all.

Just wanted to thank @master131 again for making this possible with the iFakeLocation, the single page with all the fuel prices and other stuff no doubt. Amazing stuff.

I'll be firing up the chopper each week no doubt and looking forward to following this thread.

  • -3

Do I need a rooted Android phone for this? When I tried this with a fake location app on Android, the 711 app comes up with "Uh Oh, we've detected your location is not true, correct it before continuing".

  • +1

All my locals seem to be putting up their U91 price to around $1.80.

Might be time to lock in some otherwise standard prices.

    • +1

Might be time to lock in some otherwise standard prices.

Nah, they’ll drop again next week after the kids go back to school

    • I think you're potentially right here, starting to soar in my area too.

  • Anyone else notice a difference in price between projecthreezero and refinery?
Diesel differs in price and location and has for a few hours today.

    • Which one is accurate? They might just be on different update schedules.

      • They're both accurate (with pricing) but the cheapest was projecthreezero at 1.77 while refinery showed 1.83.

        • +1

Well considering the websites are designed to show the cheapest prices I would say Refinery is wrong.

At the moment, P03 shows cheapest as Australind WA 181.7, whilst Ref shows cheapest as Corrimal NSW 182.7.

Both prices are correct (as cross checked with the 7-Eleven station finder) but only P03 shows the cheapest price.

          @vu

          • +6

@sween64: Thanks, fixed the issue. Refinery was missing two new stores that were added last month, which today happens to have the cheapest price. Prices will update soon.

    • Yes!
Agreed! I noticed that yd as well, I was quite surprised.

  • +1

    Aha!
Thank you for such a prompt response.
So it seems it requires a manual update to add new stores?

    • +3

No it's all automatic, but their old API shut down last month and I didn't update that part of the script.

  • Thanks for that info.
    Keep up your fantastic work!

  • +1

Is anyone else having trouble with the 7eleven app? For some reason on my rooted device it won't even open the app anymore (worked yesterday).
Even uninstall and reinstall, I click the app and nothing happens. The app just stalls.

    • Working fine on pixel 1XL here.
Not a great time to lock though if you can wait, nothing special about current prices

    • Check if you can pass safety net check. I had issue with the app this week. CTS check was failing so I added a module in magisk and it worked fine. Also some time app is freezing so just close and open again or wait for 10-15 sec.

  • I'm getting error E01 after clicking lock on android. It worked last week but getting error this time. Didn't lock in any of acc on chopper phone for 1 week.

    • Got rid of error. CTS check was failing.

  • I'm getting stuck at the screen where it says "finding our best local price" on the map. Doesn't seem to progress at all. Have used this same setup for a while now (iphone, ifakelocation) and normally don't run into issues.

    • +4

Change fuel type. Search. Don’t lock. Change fuel type again. Search. Lock in desired fuel type.

      • cheers!

      • Interesting to see this issue is happening on iOS too.

        • +1

I’m not a chopper pilot and that issue still happens to me.

        • Has happened to me a couple of times on iOS.

        • It's been happening for ages on iOS. I just close the app, re-open it and then it works again.

  • Could it be if the same device is used - more than 2x per day -although with a different pilot?
