      • @dontpanic I got it to work once on Android emulator. Gone back for round 2 and it's says it has detected my location isn't true. Anyone have advice for me? TIA

    • I am a little stuck at step 12 (in the File Manager (Amaze), go to click on the hamburger menu, go to Root, then data>adb>lspd). I have followed the steps until then but can't seem to find the file!

      • I had some trouble with Amaze not showing files up, but a quick restart of the Android instance fixed it. Could also try another file manager….

        • First of all I didn't thank you for the extremely detailed guide. In the Magisk app module section I've dragged in the 'manager.apk' file from the 'LSPosed-v1.8.3-6552-zygisk-release.zip' that I downloaded from the link. Nothing else would let me install. Can I please confirm if I completed that step correctly? Thank you

          • @iamapineapple: Haven't tried it myself - were you able to install the LSPosed Manager that way and proceed with the remaining steps?

            • @dontpanic: I managed to install it! I actually had to use the browser through the andorid emulation and download the zip file to my downloads folder and install it that way. Previously I was trying to download it to my computer and drag the apk file across. Thank you for the guide :)

              • @iamapineapple: Hmmm… It's weird step 13 didn't work for you, but good to know there's a workaround.

                • @dontpanic: Sorry to clarify, in step 9 I had to do what I wrote above and that allowed me to do step 13 as listed in the instructions :)

                  • @iamapineapple: Ahhh, right…. Not sure where you went wrong, but you need to install "LSPosed-v1.8.3-6552-zygisk-release.zip" in Magisk under the modules tab. You shouldn't have been dealing with the APK at that point.

what do you mean by "Turn the chopper on" ?

      • Fire up your helicopter ;)

    • +1

      you're a legend mate. this works A+

    • Thanks for your thorough write up!

I followed every step of it and managed to get a lock!

I do have an issue with keyboard though, the soft keyboard won't show up so I had to download swift keyboard instead.

Is there any way to configure physical keyboard into the emulator? Did you copy the coordinates from the emulator's browser opening refinery?

      • You shouldn't need the soft keyboard. The physical keyboard on your computer should allow you to type.

        • Hmm that's weird, my physical doesn't work so I had to use the soft keyboard.

Do you have to set it in the nox setup?

          • @noone: I never had to set anything up. Is it wired/wireless/bluetooth?

            • @dontpanic: It is a wireless keyboard. You think that's why?

    • Ah, this for PC only?

    • I'm stuck at Step 14.

I'm probably missing something obvious, but I don't know how to paste the manager.apk file from /data/adb/lspd to another folder. I hold down left mouse button on manager.apk and then click copy. All good so far.

If I hold left mouse button to simulate a long press in the Downloads folder, no context menu pops up to paste. Tried googling NoxPlayer controls but not much luck.

I tried restarting Nox as well.

      EDIT:

The manager.apk file is in the LSPosed zip file if you extract the contents if you couldn't end up copying it out of the /data/adb/lspd like me.

      • This took me ages too haha. Just scroll allll the way up and you will find paste icon above!

        • Yes, I forgot to include this bit… it took me a while to work it out too. Stupid UI glitch.

    • Thanks heaps!

      • No problems!

    • You are awesome. Thank you very much . How can I buy coffee for you ?

      • How can I buy coffee for you ?

Meet me at Starbucks in the city at 12:30pm.

      • Is it a 7eleven coffee?

        • if you like it….

          • @Ritcus1: Uhhh, I think I'll just settle for your everlasting gratitude ;)

    • Finally!! I got my own chopper. Thank you so much for your notes.
      Have a great day!

    • Hi dontpanic, thanks for sharing this - extremely clear to follow. Just a heads up, migrating this to another device was a simple task in my case.

      1. Copy Nox install directory to new device
      2. Launch player, enable root then redo Step 6 - 8
      3. Set Fake GPS
      4. Launch 7-11 and lock in.

I imagine it's easy enough to create a .vmdk copy of a player with all the apps installed. Just need to make sure to clean off personal data!

      • Good to know!

I'll have to experiment with it at some point to see if I can find a good solution. If only the NOX backup maintained root it would be so simple…

    • +1

@dontpanic Stuck at Step 10. Install My 7-Eleven APK
"this installation package is not compatible with your current device"
      versions tried: 2.17.4, 2.17.3 and 2.17.2
Devices tried: galaxy s9 and s20

Similar to @iamapinapple, I was previously stuck at step 9 as it wasn't clear how to install inside the modules tab
What I did: drag and dropped the file into amaze then installed from storage inside modules tab - is this the expected step or a workaround?

      • @dmac Something changed sometime on 16/17 Oct. I wiped my harddisk completely on 16 Oct and re-installed Windows and everything and had Nox working fine with the My 7-Eleven app. I stuffed something out so I wiped everything and tried to re-do again on 17 Oct, but this time Nox didn't work. I also tried on a VM, and it didn't work. Luckily, I re-installed from a backup image, and Nox works. But I can't install My 7-Eleven apk v 2.17.4 on Nox now.

      • +1

I'm also having the same issue. Did you manage to find a fix for this error message? I tried 7-Eleven v2.16.2 with no luck.

        • Having the same issue "This installation package is not compatible with your current device". Tried the steps mentioned by others without success.

          • +1

@xeion: @dmac @gyrex @xeion I managed to solve this by installing the My 7 Eleven app first when I create a new Android 9 instance, even before checking the box to root Nox. I then followed the rest of the guide and I was able to apply and redeem to fuel lock.

            • @iamnotafish: @iamnotafish That works perfectly, thank-you!
Fuel prices aren't much different, but I enjoy getting the Velocity points :)

    • @dontpanic followed the instructions to a t. Getting Error E01 in the 7-11 app after trying to lock in the price.
Started a new instance of Nox and followed all the steps again. Still same error!
      Has it stopped working?

      • People were reporting that the app was down for maintenance earlier. Might be that. Sometimes the app can be quite buggy. If it doesn't work, try again a bit later and see if the problem gets resolved.

I was able to lock in a price yesterday with an emulator running on Android Studio, so unless they've changed things up since then, it should work.

    • This guide is now superceded by the cross platform Android Studio Chapped Guide

    • I'm getting stuck at 12. When I enable Zygisk I get a notification that I have to reboot to enable Zygisk. I reboot and Zygisk remains disabled and underneath exposed it says Module suspended because Zygisk is not enabled. I'm not sure where I'm going wrong here

      • Try using the Android Studio guide in the link above - the instructions are pretty comprehensive and should work. I no longer use Nox, so can't really offer any support for it.

    • If anyone experiences the issue with Zygisk not being enabled though it is, download the Canary build of Magisk Delta, apparently Samsung (which the default Nox setup is set to) has an issue with Magisk and Zygisk, and it's fixed in canary builds. Once I did this, every other step went smoothly.

      • Thank you for the useful information.

With that said, I'd recommend everyone move to the Android Studio Guide instead. Nox is full of ads, bloatware, etc, and Android Studio allows for a more customisable, up to date Android experience. It also allows easy duplication of emulators, so you can quickly set up more than one if you need.

        • Yeah I set up nox cos it came up first in the OP post… then clicked around and saw why you were recommended AS. I've moved over now. :) Thanks so much for your work!

          • @kwchaz: Yeah, it would probably be good if the mods could move Android Studio up in the order, or make a note that it's the preferred method. I'll flag this post and see if they can do it.

    • I can confirm that if you just copy ALL files from an installed working version of this system to a new laptop at same locations (e.g. C: to C: , Program Files(x86) file to Program Files(x86) , Users>Username> App Data to Users>Username> App Data)

^^ (Only talking about copying Nox related files) ^^
You can have the same old working nox on the new windows.

    • hey @dontpanic it looks like Step 15 is not working. I am getting "This installation package is not compatible with your current device." error. Do you know how to fix that?

      • Step 15? Which one is that?

      • Hah see my note below as I just had that error with LSPosed module. The solution I found was download it directly in the emulator with the browser

    • Just wanted to say thank you it worked for me. Only thing I found is that the LSPosed module wouldn't install with drag and drop (got a device incompatible error) so I downloaded it directly in the emulator with the browser and it worked

    • My AVD crapped itself and now I can't root in Android Studio. I think an update screwed with it.
So I'm giving this a go and it still works with the full version of Android 9.
Step 13 for me was: root>data>adb>modules>zygisk_lsposed

    • Hi Mate… I am having an issue with "16. Open LSPosed Manager, go to the modules tab and open Hide Mock Location and select My 7-Eleven" I cant seem find the LSPosted Manager even though I installed it.

The other thing I am super confused about is that NOX wont accept keyboard entries, can you please help me out?

    • When i try to drag "hidemocklocation-2.0.9.apk" into Nox i get - "this installation package is not comptabile with your current device". What do i do?

  • Photo: https://i.imgur.com/BNj0zJi.png
My Fuel Lock screen is red, but no price is listed? Is this bugged/broken/expected behaviour?
I locked in at the time of the rush on at Wantirna South, as I was in the area driving to dinner, so I presume the system didn't register it correctly?

    • -4

      They've removed that price lock…

you'll need to wait a week to lock again using this account.

    • Log out and log in, try a diff phone

I've seen this on an older phone (chopper) that upgraded to the newer app version.

I logged in on my main phone and the price displayed properly

      • Thanks!
Another device did the trick…. and I locked in $2.32 🤣

        Oh well, next time…

      • +3

There's some feedback about this issue in the Google reviews for the latest version of the app.

If your display view in settings isn't set to default won't show.

        • No wonder, I had mine zoomed out to allow people to sign out easier

I'll do more testing and report back

          Thanks for the info!

        • Legend! I was facing the same issues with viewing the price on my chopper phone though I did it in reverse - had my display size in default and I switched to a larger display which fixed it.

  • Sorry for what may seem like a really n00b question.

Is there a guide somewhere on how to use GitHub? I'd like to use iFakeLocation and have downloaded the code but I am now totally lost.

    It says Running:
    Windows:
Run the executable called iFakeLocation.exe. - but there is no iFakeLocation.exe file?

  • +2

Fuel lock just cancelled. Should've done this last night!

    • Yep been greedy and was thinking to go on Sunday. Damn.

    • what do you mean got cancelled?

  • Damnnnn…. They are not going to honour the price lock … :( …

Just got the official email…. :(

  • As other said email just come through. Should've used straight away.

    • -1

Bugger was just about to head out and use it :(

  • +1

Just received email from 711 saying all lock in from Wantirna will not be honoured.

    • I got app notification but nothing in email.

      • Maybe they know I'm not from Vic keeping fingers crossed account is not banned or else need to make another☹️☹️

        • For real? Will they ban account using chopper across state?

          • +2

@icecream: No one has been banned from this. They simply removed all fuel locks associated with Wantirna store on Wednesday 13th July between 3.58pm and 6.40pm. Regardless of if it was legit or not.

    • +2

logged in and checked. The lock has been removed.

Although I am disappointed, I'm not too disappointed as I have saved a fortune over time with guidance from the OZB community in and around locks.

    • +1

Just read the e-mail too. I actually managed to lock in without spoofing as live not too far away from Wantirna, should have gone to pump immediately rather than waiting (as still had half tank left)!

      • +1

        same, I'm down the road.

Think about how much you have previously saved and continue to save based on current pricing.

        Some you win….some you don't.

        • -1

          I'm down the road.

What's the difference between 'down the road' and 'up the road' ?

          • @jv: Not sure, what?

            • @COVID-19: I don't know either, but we need to resolve this before people get confused.

              • +1

@jv: ok, what about this "Same, I'm just around the corner".

          • +1

            @jv:

            1. altitude
            2. north or south orientation.
            3. 'up the road' is towards town, 'down the road' is out of town.
  • They probably figured would cost them way too much profit and pulled the plug…oh well

    • +7

Even though I am sad, I'd rather 7/11 fuel locks continue into the future than a straight up cancellation.

Win some, lose some. We lost this one, but we have won much more than the average Joe

      • +3

It does worry me that if we go too hard on some of the too good to be true deals, they'll just axe the whole thing. Or find new ways to crack down on it. I'm happy to just take the small to medium wins. It all adds up to a big win over time.

  • Damn, I'm glad I went to 7-Eleven yesterday with both cars even if they were only half or quarter empty. I had planned to use the locks again next Tuesday but oh well. As some have said, we may have lost on this one, but there will still be wins in the future.

  • +1

What makes this discount different from any other discount that he have flown our chopper to? How come this is the only one that has been cancelled? I never received any email or notification, just straight up removed my locks without any notice…

    • +1

probably that it was about 50 cent drop from the cheapest 711 price earlier in the day. they just couldn't stomach that loss, i guess. the email also mentioned "we have also witnessed is numerous online sites and social media
posts actively encouraging customers across Australia to breach our terms and conditions through manipulation of the Fuel Price Lock function." too many choppers in the air?

    • +2

The difference is that it was probably a pricing error. Was the Wantirna store running a promotion or was it a legitimate price error? The 7-Eleven HQ email claims it was a price error. I'd like to know what the Wantirna store yesterday said. Usually promos are only for one fuel type, not multiple.

  • trying ifakelocation but getting error "Mount failed with status: N/A and error: ImageMountFailed"
restarted the iPad and replugged it in but nothing

    • Have you read the Readme? Specifically the part titled: "How to make it work on iOS X.X?"?
