  • What are the terms and conditions? Anyone got a link?

    • I honestly tried to look for them but with no luck.
I do not think that there will be any nasty terms or conditions. It is the same deal as this one:
      https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/673603

    • Some notable exclusions:

The sale excludes Eufy, JVC, Kenwood, Sony, Pioneer, delivery charges, services & purchases of gift cards.

As posted by Supercheap Auto on the Facebook ad comments. It's a shame as I've been waiting on a headunit

      • Head units tend to have inflated RRP anyway, so 25% off would bring them back to typical "sale" prices. Maybe check out Ryda, Strathfield etc.

        • I agree with you, with a much better range too. I just have a bunch of SCA gift cards and not much else to spend them on

      • try Facebook marketplace , that's where i got my headunit Sony Xav5000 for $360 , it was just 6months old, with all the wiring and stuff , i used what i could and even aerpro steering wheel control i got with that, i sold to get extra money back, making it a real deal

  • Any dash cams worth looking at? Just looking for a basic one :)

I usually forget what I need when there's a sale, then regret didn't get them when there was a sale. :D

Oil filter, air filter, fuel filter, oil, wiper blades.

    • Towbars, if this doesn't exclude special orders

  • I was going to buy something a few days ago as I have a gift voucher. Glad I waited - let's hope there is something worth getting…

    • You would have been given the difference back on club plus anyway. But I do understand you need to then buy something else to use that credit, so maybe not great for you.

Un-Australian. They should be doing 26% off.

  • I assume 25% off RRP, but since at lot of things are club price everyday, so they will just be cheaper than everyday price but not really 25% off.

Example: Maxtrax RRP $300, club price $250, 25% sale $225. $25 is still a pretty good saving though.

Then there are things more than 25% off everyday, will they become more expensive during the sale, will be interesting to see.

    • I would definitely compare ebay and other retailers as Repco with their massive-hyped pseudo discounting last Saturday was still not cheaper than others. In fact more. Sellers over inflate prices and give a massive discount to offset and still you pay more. Psychology and the oldest sales tactics.

      • Yeah, you really have to track the price to get a decent deal. I was after something from Repco that's normally 20% off for auto club members, they announced a weekend sale so I waited. Come weekend the sale was only 10% on the item and auto club price was not available during the sale, so the price had effective increased.

I waited for the sale to end, but it went out of stock, wtf! A couple of weeks later it was back in stock and out of a sudden 25% off for auto club members. Was lucky it worked out well, but it goes to show that a sale is not always a sale.

Amazing, I've been meaning to buy Oil, a filter and a set of brake pads for our bus but procastinated so much that the catalouge prices ended and up to full price again! Wife this morning said "see I told you 100 times to buy them!" but this was the best ace to have up my sleeve - an additional $14.92 saving!

    • +1

That’s extremely satisfying for you mate haha
Well done on the procrastinating 👍

  • Whats OZB favorite interior cleaner for the dashboard etc?

  • Really disappointed with some of the Supercheap Sales of late. You really only get a good deal on consumables (oils etc.) based on the catalogue 'deals' these days. I remember getting some awesome deals on oil (Penrite Racing, $45/5L) and on Brakes during the 2019 boxing day sale (40% off from memory).

  • A shame that the Chemtech CT18 Superwash 20L even at 25% will still be a LOT more expensive than last years special.

    • Wasn't there a pretty big special on it recently from supercheap or repco?

This discount won't apply to the Club Price of items will it? Just the full price?

I am looking to replace 4 tyres for my car, do you think tyres will get 25 % off ??

    • +1

Never knew they ever sold tyres.

      • -1

I believe you need to factor in a fitting cost as they only supply the tyres, you find somewhere to fit them. Once you add this, the price often becomes comparable if not more than regular tyre shops where the tyre price usually has fitting and balancing included. Mind you at 25% off you might come out of it alright.

    • Yes, tyres will be 25% off.

      • But think they use the same/similar web-engine for their tyre store as Tyroola etc. In the past I've personally found tyresales or Costco better in terms of tyre prices/bargains than most tyre places, Tempe is another one if you happen to be close to them.

    • Are you factoring the cost for removal of your existing tyres, fitting new tyres, disposal and wheel balancing?
You might as well go a to small tyre business and get it from there

      • When you buy tires from Supercheap you do end up at a local tire place to do all those things 👍

        • I realise that however factoring everything (over inflated tyre prices with a massive discount + additional expenses); you still save buying and getting the tyres fitted at the tyre shop. Some tyre places are very competitive unless they don't stock a particular tyre. I've done that trick before and it ends up costing more and running around. I'm not talking about Beaurepairs and Bob Jane as they are a rip-off

    • you didn't get through black friday sale Pirelli 50% off
      from Mycar !!!!! pretty sad

For anyone considering early purchase, be aware that the credits only have 28 days validity.

  • So i bought oil on sunday, can i refund and buy it again on discount? What is their refund policy on engine oil?

    • Is it's unopened should be fine. Just buy again and return with old receipt. Say you bought the wrong one or you and your spouse both bought it by mistake and you don't need two.

    • +1

you get the difference back as store credit

  • Does anyone know if this will include special orders ?

    • Yes, it should include special orders as they aren't in the exclusions list.

  • Any good HUD car heads up display available from SCA that goes on this sale?

  • +1

Things that are discounted more than 25% everyday are now costing more because the sale is limited to 25%.

Paying more during a sales event, reminds me of the PlayTech special: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VFuDhsxazqs&t=108s

  • Right, so this "sale" increases the price in my case.

Normal pricing- $499.99 (Club price $349).
Just checked now, and the discount (which as the terms state, applies to the regular pricing) brings the sale price to $374.99
So it is $25.99 more expensive to buy it during this sale.
I'm better off waiting until tomorrow to purchase (if at all).

Disappointing this doesn't apply to club pricing. Bit of a Claytons sale to me.

  • Can someone explain how does this work?
—> Buy it now and they will credit you the difference once it goes on sale*. ⁣

I bought an item last week which is listed for less today. Do I have to contact SCA and request the credit difference?

    • If you bought the item under your club plus account, you should receive an email (not necessarily today but in the next few days) stating the item has dropped in price and that they have applied $X credit to your account, which you should have one month to use it before it expires.

So as long as you're opted in to communication from them, there is nothing else you have to do. Just wait for the credit to be applied. If you don't use the credit soon after, they even send reminder emails telling you not to forget about your credit that will expire on //22 You can always manually check your credit on your account if you don't receive the email.

  • Anyone know if Bunnings will price beat considering these are "club prices". I know they can be funny about some of the price match/beating. Cheers

    • Yea it will because joining the Club is free.

  • If only SCA had a decent mobile site. Uselss on Android.

    • 100% agreed.

    • Works fine for me, phone is 4 years old now. I just make sure to have only one browser page open and be a little bit patient.

      • I searched "clear coat", even just "clear" and after about a minute…it takes me to a list of tyres.

Be interesting to see if you get the same result? I've tried Android 5,7,8,10. All the same, Chrome browser.

        • The tyres scenario happened with me too.
          Galaxy S21/chrome browser.

I was looking at car care items and specials and every time I tried to do a search, tyres came up.

  • Bought some paint and primer rattle cans to touch up my car.

  • Some pretty good deals especially if you can get clearance items since those aren't normally discounted any further.

Stacked with the prezzee offer of $10 bonus on $100 giftcards, made for a fantastic deal
