  • Great phone for this price!

  • +1

Darn, should have bought it went it went down as lows as 594 back last year sometimes, oh well.

    • Are you sure that wasn't for a lower capacity model?

      • +1

It was cheaper last week at JB HIFI for the same X2 Pro Telstra model at $699

      • It was the same model.

    • This has the better camera.

    • It's one of those trade-off situations both devices have pros and cons. I went with the X2 and don't regret it.

      • +1

The only downside with x2 pro is, it doesn't have wireless charge

        • +1

charging x2 pro with original adapter+cable gives you 20%-80% in less than 30mins & lasts for the day.

Also, wireless charging is very inefficient from an energy usage perspective (it uses almost double the electricity than wired charging).

Ill pm Neo and ask him.
But im told he is stuck in the matrix

  • If it is possibly dropping to $599?

  • +2

X5 Pro will release on 9 February afterward X2 Pro and X3 Pro will go down more.

    • What happened to x4? Is it because 4 is considered unlucky in the Chinese culture? Serious question.

      • +1

I searched some Chinese pages and they said maybe… Oppo never said why officially. But I guess you are right.

    • @meaty, where did you get that release date from?

  • +1

Good price but getting a bit old for this price I think, should be another $150 off at least.

  • +6

Shouldn't this be the price for X3 Pro now?

Just checked my eBay record… I bought this in Aug last year for about $680 (with eBay discount code)… I am surprised that the price is even higher !

  • Got this for $594 last year. It is a great phone!

  • Can confirm it's an outstanding phone. I recently "upgraded" to the Pixel 6 Pro and it hasn't felt like that much of an upgrade unfortunately!

Now trying to sell the X2 Pro to help pay for the Pixel.

Can I have it for free.

      • he wants to “sell” it so you have offer something ….. what is a used android phone worth ?

  • Not much a discount TBH

  • +2

Apparently will get Android 13, and then another year of security updates, so 2 years left till it starts to be a security risk.

    https://www.gizmochina.com/2021/10/05/oppo-software-update-p…

  • for me more RAM, more flash aren’t selling points as i have 128/6 OLED on my current phone, for me it’s more about software, updates, etc. but they keep adding more ram and flash which drives up the price ….. wish they did more years of software updates instead rather than buy a new phone as it mad more memory ….

how are people backing up 256gb phones ….. plug into laptop or photos and videos aren’t that important if lost ?

    • Why do software updates when people will pay more for pointless RAM though? They might even think their device is outdated when more pointless RAM is added to later models which may make them buy another one.

    • Wow that's a monster, phones will come with 1TB storage soon. More RAM and bigger storage is more important than software updates. You can always root it and flash a custom ROM if you want new software. For backup I use a USB-A to USB-C stick to copy files from phone

  • No dual sim :(
