        Yeah these sorts of plans are great for tablets or LTE laptops which are at home on wifi "most of" the time, except for when they're not, and you then need convenient data asap.

    Can we get an Amaysim $2 SIM Card and then activate it from there? My current Catch plan expires tomorrow and there's no way to wait until 2 to 10 working days for it to come.

      just double check with live chat but I'm pretty sure you can because last deal sim weren't arriving on time and they did suggest just getting a $2 sim but please double check

      You can. I've just done using a spare SIM card I got. First, activate the plan you purchased online (you don't need to entre the SIM card number at this procedure) then login to Amaysim portal and switch to replacement SIM (or similar menu) with your $2 SIM card number. This will activate your new $2 SIM card under your activated plan.

      You can contact Amaysim support who will virtually tell you the similar procedure as above.

          When you get the catch deal they send you a code that you put into the AMAYSIM order (when you sign up with AMAYSIM)…they (AMAYSIM) then send you a SIM card which you need to activate before March 19

        if you have a phone with eSim functionality you could use the Optus Flex (4G - not the 5G option) eSim version. 1 dollar per day. Port in and port out on the same day.

      you had to go on amaysim live chat and they give you 6th renewal did this on two phones and was super easy i will probably do it again as mine expires on February 17th, for those curious in how to become a new customer again for amaysim you have to port out with aldi mobile $5 payg sim and port back in again

        I did the same with my 4-months renewal Groupon voucher. They charged $20 on my credit card on my 4th renewal. Once I explained this to Amaysim live chat, it was easy to get the refund back on my credit card.

      You can ring them and they'll fix it (mine was on BPAY), but the offensive part is that it was considered a "goodwill gesture", when the terms argue differently.

      I complained to both Amaysim and Groupon about this and accused them of false advertising. I said if this issue persists into the next advertisement I might take action for false advertising. I don't even need it right now. I might buy it on purpose to make a point

        called them and they gave me 1 month back out of "goodwill"

        this bunch are clowns but really cant complain for $10

    Caution from previous Groupon Amaysim deal I activated before 17th Oct and originally it showed 4 renewals. However, my credit card was charged for the 4th (Jan) renewal. When asking Amaysim chat, I was told four renewals started from Sept. Meaning it ended in Dec so my 4th (Jan) renewal does not qualify.

      Amaysim chat is wrong. The first activation counts as a renewal. e.g. if you activated on 16 Oct, your 4th renewal would be 8 Jan. If you explain this to them, they should refund your credit card charge for the 4th renewal. I went through this process recently, so I know it works.
