Excellent pliers. Great price. Would recommend.

    Cracking price. Thanks OP

Amazon UK has been my place to go for Knipex tools over the past couple of years. Used to buy from that ebay seller in Germany but Amazon has really brought the price down. Basically unbeatable prices!

  • -4

    That's what she said

    • +4

      What is?

    • +1

That line is getting old. :D

      • So are you.

  • +2

Ahh, anything else to buy to get over the 49$?

    • +7

Not sure if you have other Knipex, if you do, these are worthwhile:

        LOL

      • Wtf

      • +7

Useful for wrenching stuff that will be facing. Like stuck tap handles. Since you don't wanna scratch them up.

      • +5

Kind of negates an otherwise decent deal. $27 for 3 pairs of plastic sleeves! Just use old bicycle inner tubes, or even buy a new tube for $5 is way cheaper.

Rather buy two pairs of pliers for free shipping.

i gave looking up and just bought 2x

      • What state are you in?

        Also, do I need these?

    • Everyone needs more Eneloops

      https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/681040

      • OOS and Amazon US & UK mix&match won't get over the $49 free delivery.

        • +3

Sorry buddy, you snooze you lose.

I've never had an issue mixing and matching Amazon US & UK for free international prime delivery. In fact I ordered the Eneloops yesterday and added a $30 item from Amazon UK with free delivery.

          • @OzBragain: Does it work and mix match with Amazon au?

          • @OzBragain: @OzBragain How do you search on the US and UK Amazon sites? I have tried going to the .com and the .co.uk sites without success. How do you do it?

            • +1

              @d123:

@OzBragain How do you search on the US and UK Amazon sites?

I don't, just search the product and it may come from US or UK. If you really want something from international then tick the "Prime International Shipping" in search results.

        • I got the free delivery , I already bought AAA then cancelled that and order both, no issues.

Tempted, but going to wait for a deal on their pliers wrench.

    • -1

      no need to be rude…

    • I have their pliers wrench. Great product although keep in mind the teeth on those remain parallel so you can really only use them to adjust nuts.

      • Hmm……. sounds painful!

  • +1

    What are these for?

    • +1

      Ingrown toenails

      • +4

        dentist alternative

        • Cheers. I don’t get ingrown toenails.

      jumping keno counters

    • Actually a very good question. Whenever I see another tradesman pull out a pair of multigrips I get a bit dubious……..

      • Adjustable wrenches are really useful for plumbing.

        • I guess cause I'm not a plumber that's why I'm dubious

    • +2

Just the other day, I used it to open a stuck window. For the life of me, I couldn't pull out the bolt in the window lock. Using the Cobra, I pulled it out with little effort. It turned out, rain water got into the lock and rusted the bolt. Without it, I'd probably have to drill out the screws from the lock. It's an amazing tool!

BTW, I didn't know such a tool existed until I read an Ozbargain post a year or two ago. Thanks Ozbargain!

Thought these were Felco's for a second 😔

Still kicking myself for missing this deal

Was ready to buy…. checked the shed and found this exact model.

  • Multi grips!

  • +1

    Thanks, bought two

  • They named their pliers Knipex, nice!

  • Apart from price, what are the differences between the Knipex and this Trojan?

    • Quality, Knipex are made in Germany. The Trojan is probably made in China and is a lower quality product. I have own a few Knipex products. The finish is better, more solid built than other cheaper brands.

There is a very good pliers showndown youtube video says it all.

        • Funny how the Irwins which beat every other plier hands down including all those schmancy European ones cost almost twice the US price in Bunnings, must be the Australia tax…

          • +2

@ZilogX: @ZilogX: Obviously you didn't watch the whole video

            • @ufsta: You got me! tedium and the fact that torque is the only useful parameter for this bodger tool satisfied me…

    • Quick adjust mechanism is different (superior imo)

    • Cheap shifting pliers are looser and will more easily collapse. My el cheapo pair has served me well, but it’s a real PITA at times.

    • +1

One is a Bunnings PoS, the other is Knipex.

Was on the fence until I read this review on Amazon.

These pliers not only grab, turn, lock onto anything. These pliers helped deliver my first 3 children. These pliers saved my marriage. This pliers made me quit drinking. They have the immortal power of the Ancient Greek gods inside them. Would trade my eternal soul for another set.

    • -3

Still not as good as NFT pliers.

    • -1

I'd have assumed they'd work better for abortions than childbirth.

      • Actually pliers are the wrong tool for any OBGYN type tricks whatsoever, bud!

  • I still get charged the postage with 2 in the cart

    • +2

      Do you have prime?

      • No. I missed the "&" and thought it was or $49 spend…

  • How does this compare to this?

  • +2

    Cobra Pliers, never die?!

  • Find something worth $12 to save $4.78

  • I want to buy them, can't find anything to get it to $49 (like other commenters above).

Maybe it's a mythical power trying to help me not invest in recklessly spend on another tool I don't need.

    • +1

but what if you do need it some time in the future…

      • +1

You're right, there might be some emergency and this would be the one tool I need…

        • +2

See my comment above, that's what happened to me.

Cheers OP. Added some 300mm footprints for $67 to get free shipping. ($99+ in aus)
