    • Woops, I put the wrong code. This should be the right one now.

    Thanks can confirm LUCKYPEARLS works.

Got it delivered for $10.95 to NSW.

There is a $1.00 tax on top of the $9.95.

  • Worked for free pick up, thanks. Actually been meaning to get some good pearls

  • +2

Got the worst roll ROARINGINLNY $8. Good for someone maybe?

  • +21

Good for pickup as it's free but you can get pearls at any Asian grocer for 1kg for 8-10 dollars. It's not worth it if you need to pay postage.

I am a huge bubble tea fan and make my own bubble tea at home every 2nd day.

Bubble tea places also sell 3kg bags for 17 dollars. Happycup warehouse, Utea, sunwide, bubbletea.com.au, all sell 3kg bags for 17 dollars. Flavour powder is way cheaper too.

    • Which brand / Where do you normally get your pearls? Thanks!

      • +24

Happycup warehouse as I pick up the items from Cabramatta.

If I can't get to happycup, I go to my local Asian grocer and they have 1kg bag with a red circle in the middle of the packaging for $10.

Sorry, but bubble tea club is way too expensive, and looking at their website, it seems they rebrand the manufacturers products and slap their logo on it.

Most bubble tea stores use the same manufacturer from Taiwan, which is Mr. Bubble tea and the exporter is king Heng foods co.

This is just me but I will never buy from bubble tea club as their prices are 2 to 3 times more expensive when you can buy the same ingredients from the 4 stores I mentioned in my previous comment

Also I used to work casually for "gumballs" many many many years go, unfortunately closed down but they literally used the same powder and pearls happycup warehouse uses for their store.

        • +3

Where do you get the powder from, can I ask? I'm looking for good taro and matcha flavours.

          • +3
          • @soupiejr: What AlienC said. I buy the same Taro powder from happycup warehouse.

Whether you buy from happycup warehouse, sunwide, Utea, bubbletea.com.au or other similar online places that sells 1kg powder, there is a very good chance they all sell the same powder (mr happy cup brand).

            • @hasher22: Is this just Taro flavour of is there actual Taro?

What's the one the ChaTime uses with the pulp? Anyone know where I can but their powder?

              • +2

                @StevieRay: It's taro flavour

Chatime uses different manufacturers and ingredients for their taro bubble tea and unfortunately, I wouldn't know. The best person to ask is a rep in-store and ask what flavour powder or ingredients they use for their taro tea.

Do you get fat from consuming so many bubble teas?

      • +4

Hahaha nope. I stayed the same weight for many years, Im active too. I really love my bubble tea. I have 800ml cup every 2nd day. I make it at home for approx 80c to $1 per serve. (PS I didn't neg U)

        • Haha crazy !

Hard to keep active during this pandemic?

    • Where do you get the brown sugar liquid/fructose/sweet syrup to make the pearls extra sweet?

      • +4

You can just make it with brown sugar and water

      • +1

        What ajee123 said.

liquid/fructose/sweet syrup is just sugar and water. 1:1 ratio.

Or just use normal white sugar, I don't mix water with mine to make it a syrup. I just add powder and sugar and add boiling water to mix both dry ingredients then add cooked pearls, then ice to cool down the water, top it off with water and milk if you want it more milky.

It's really easy to make bubble tea at home. It's like just making milo but the extra step is making the pearls.

    • I'm in a regional area and no Asian grocery stores. Those websites and prices you quoted, is that free delivery?

Which one of those websites have the best price for item + postage?

      • Unfortunately, with my experience speaking to ozbargainers regarding bubble tea ingredients (i got alot of dm's lol), they all charge postage. But if you do find a supplier that doesn't charge postage, please post it :)

    • +1

Can I make some nice bubble tea just using the creamer and taro powder? I am avoiding the fructose… Thank ylj.

      • +1

Yes, you can. Taste slightly different though

        • +1

Thank you so much! I have brown sugar here so may add a touch 😊👍

    • +2

I’m looking at the happycup website. Would you just need to buy bubble tea powder and pearls to make it? And is normal milk tea just the “classic creamer” powder?

      • I am doing the same. Which powder are you grabbing?

      • Yes I want to know as well too. Is it just like that or something else required?

      • +1

Creamer is just powdered milk. You don't need it. It's wasting your money.

Just use any type of milk from your local grocer.

        • I would say it's a taste thingy, some powder do need creamer (Coffee Mate) to enhance it…

          • +1

@dlovep: By all means, if you want to use creamer go for it, but creamer has chemicals, artificial colouring and flavouring. Especially when buying from a bubble tea manufactuer. Ironically the powder you use has that so it's not like you're reduing the amount of artificial stuff in the powder by eliminating creamers.

Personally, I use lactose-free full cream milk and I only need a small amount. I have used creamer powder as well, and I would need alot of creamer to get the same milkiness to my personal taste.

I just think the bubble tea creamer powder is a huge rip

            • @hasher22: Like I said it's taste thingy, really up to your personal preference for even drinking bubble milk tea from a shop… despite you can make your own from fresh brew tea and fresh milk, but no where like the chemical mix… Not saying you have drink those… XD

            • @hasher22: Awesome. So just straight up milk for you. Don't need milk powder? Thank you!

    • Do you find any of your powders at physical grocery stores? I've only seen the huge packets sold on websites but I just want a little bit of every flavour hahah

      • +1

Unfortunately I have not seen any bubble tea powders at any local asian grocers, you have to buy them from a bubble tea supplier online.

The cheapest way to taste each flavour, in my opinion, is to buy the bubble tea from a store then decide if you want to replicate the drink at home and buy the 1kg powder.

      • try the Lipton Bubble Tea $7 on discount, normal price $8.50 / 5 cups

      • Depends where you are, some asian stores stock it and I think they buy a huge bag and separate it into smaller tubs for retail sales. Usually costs a few dollars for a 300-400g tub

    • I only drank bubble tea once just to try. Can you tell me what kind of flavor/taste the pearls put? Feels like it would be the same without them

      • Pearls have no taste / flavour, it's tapioca starch. You can soak it in sugar for them to soak up the sugar.

  • +2

Not a good roll either: GOODHEALTH for Free Topping (valued at 9.95)

    • What toppings are available? I tried some popping pearls and it didn't seem to work :(

      • no idea. Picture shows tapioca pearls, lychee poping pearls, rainbow jelly.
Description: "valued at $9.95 AUD ; add your choice of topping to cart and enter 'GOODHEALTH' at check out. Promo code is valid until March 31st and cannot be used in conjunction with other promotions. Valid for one transaction only. Shipping cost is not discounted but free shipping applies for orders over $79 AUD

  • Anyone got the reusable bubble tea cup coupon?

  • Excuse my ignorance please but why is it called Tapioca as thats root crop.

    • +6

Because thats what it's made from. Tapioca starch.

  • -8

Came here for jokes about pearl necklaces. Disappointed.

  • +5

Probably short dated. Lipton Bubbletea (and Avalanche which is terrible) available in Woolies and Coles must have eaten into their marketshare. At the beggining of the pandemic there were no easy straight-out-of-the-box at home alternatives and BBT was making an absolute killing.

    • +4

There are now another new additions too. Bubbleme and Chatime are both available at Woolies.

  • LUCKYPEARLS didn't work for me

Was this a glitch they now fixed?

  • +1

LUCKYPEARLS Doesn’t work anymore probably out of stock.
Since the use by date was 31/03/2022
They were probably trying to offload it and the stock is used up

  • Question is: now, what am I going to do with it? 😁

    • They are love pearls!

    • Boil it and add it to some chocolate milk or even microwaved connoisseur ice cream tub. Delicious.

  • Luckypearls code is invalid for free item…

please advise if anyone has any luck buying….

    • They could be out.

  • Min order of $30 now

Pain, I feel like this kills the deal now. Thanks for the info!

  • Bubble tea without boba is just milk tea

  • LUCKYPEARLS not working for over $100 spend

  • not working :(

  • I am ignorrant of how to make bubble tea, but am having an Asian themed food event at work, and need to make bubble tea for 130 people. Any tips on what I need to order to make this happen?

Most recipes I found are for making 2-4 servings, so don't know how much tea to use for 130 servings.

    • +1

Make a forum post with a poll.

    • +1

      https://bubbleteaclub.com.au/blogs/recipes/taro-milk-tea-rec…
just simply x130 or adjust if you want smaller servings

      • +3

For zan5hin, with the recipe bubbleteaclub has,

if work isn't paying for the ingredients, to save you ALOT of money.

Replace "fructose" with any other sugar. Your workmates will like you if they don't like normal white sugar. You can use splenda, brown sugar etc…..

Replace "creamer" with any other liquid milk. Again, your workmates may want lactose free, soy etc… creamer just makes the drink more milky and you save alot of money without buying the creamer. Some flavours taste really nice without creamer/milk. For example, honeydew powder (my fav!), I don't add milk as the powder is already milky, but the taro powder, I add approx 60ml to 100ml of milk cause I like it milky. Depends on you.

Isn't really practical for work unless you have a kitchen - you're going to need some huge pots + stove

      • You'll need to boil probably 4 - 5kg of pearls + around 40-50L of water to boil pearls (you need to make it on the day as they don't store well after cooking)
      • You need to be able to at least boil some concentrated tea, maybe 15-20L of it
      • You'll need several L of milk (assuming 250ml per cup x 130 serves = 32.5L tea and milk combined)
      • You'll need heated sugar syrup to adjust sweetness
      • You'll need a large esky of ice
    • +2

but am having an Asian themed food event at work, and need to make bubble tea for 130 people

That is a lot of work and expense for 1 person, I would tell whoever told you to do it to f off.

Why isn't work just getting a Bubble tea place to cater for 130 people? Seems unfair to expect you to do that alone.

  • How well do these work in an airsoft gun?

    • They work great just aim in the mouth
