Just don't throw rocks at the windows

      • I hope they are included in the box.

        • +1

Knowing Tesla, they will be a DLC :(

    • That is cool. Thanks :)

  • couldn't have come at a better time. thanks for the post OP

  • The prime prices going up soon I can see.

  • Guys, ebay do you think of buying oculus from US ? Is return as easy as Aus Store. I have heard some stories of item turning faulty.

    • +1

I was also thinking of the Quest 2 as well. Have you seen one and do you have a link? I have only found one if I go to the actual US store.

      • Yeah, i found in US store. It has free shipping but might take couple of weeks to deliver. I am worried about warranty. The amazon Au only has 256gb version. It is slightly cheaper for 128GB in Amazon US at 437$ vs 480$ at AU. Should i save money and take risk or not ? Decision ! Decision ! Decision ! 😅

        • Amazon are usually good with returns, I have never had an issue. I don't think you would have an issue with them honoring the warranty, it will be the issue of just sending it back to the US. Having said that, if they are prepared to freight it here in the first place, they have to expect if there is an issue, that it may need to be returned. Also the plug will be a US plug, not Australian. Not that that is a huge issue, I charge the one I have now via a RavPower USB charger. I can only find this one on the US store, but they are asking over $40 for freight.

    • You'd have to post it back to them in the US at your expense then get on chat to refund you the postage. I think they refund up to $50 towards postage and it may cost more than that posting it back

      • +1

I've returned US purchased items, they get sent to a local return address, it takes longer for refund than normal but i simply msg them via chat & they have refunded instantly, when they can see its been posted from an authorised 'parcel point' place - like a newsagency or similar.

        • That's good to know, I'll opt for this if I ever have to return something overseas. It could also depend on the item or how your return is set up, I can't remember whether I spoke to a person via chat or whether I just initiated the return through my orders and the default option is set to you having to post it back out of your own pocket.

I've returned a couple items bought from Amazon AU, the first one they had me take it to a parcel point and it was free but the second one they asked me to post it. Having known of the parcel point option I asked for them to change it to that as it's easier and you get the refund within a day

          • @johnnytran: forgot to mention i have prime, probably makes a difference if you don't also.

    • I have returned faulty items to Amazon US. No return fee, same process as normal AU return. As long as it is faulty and not damaged by customer they will refund immediately, no question asked. Note that I only bought books and small items.

Thank you TA…how do you keep doing this?!

  • +1

What What What to buy ????

  • I'm not sure what is wrong with UK Prime as some stuff I wanted was $75 + $78 postage.
This deal of $75 only I'm in max :)

    • Probably not an item shipped by Amazon. But a third party?

      • Always been under Prime .
Buy multiple they want that postage per each .

  • Bought some motorcycle earplugs that weren't available in Australia (not without ridiculous shipping fees), cheers OP

    • I'm interested, what did you get?

      • +6

        Etymotic ER20XS

        https://www.amazon.com.au/gp/product/B015QL3ADG?th=1

Just a decent balance I found for regular road-usage on a motorcycle with stock pipes, not racetrack usage and such.

        • +1

Thanks mate will check it out!

        • Thank you from me as well! I used to get these from my local music shop for $20 but hadn’t seen them that cheap in years. Ordered 2 sets of the universal fit ones.

    • As a fellow motorcyclist, I'm keen on changing the tinny horn that came with my ride.
I was looking at the Farbin.

Any thoughts on this one? Duke 390. Open to other suggestions too. Just want it nice and loud.

      • I haven't modified my actual bike, just added some bags.
Closest I tried was adding some heated grips but the stock ones just refuse to come off.

But seems like a good idea, assuming your battery is 12V.

        • stanley knife & slice down the middle, hand-grips generally aren't re-usable..

        • Try compressed air with a trigger nozzle under the inside edge. Same method to put them on.

          • @Steptoe: The main problem was actually the handlebar end weights.
They're sealed in place with a screw threaded through Loctite Red from the factory apparently.
So I tried heating it up, getting the proper specification impact screwdrivers, holding the ends in place securely and turning… Nothing worked!

  • Some clothing is worth getting if under $49.

  • +2

Awesome - I was going to buy something Friday but didnt cause shipping was $138!! its showing free now

    • +1

      What?

      • +4

gearwrench mechanics work table - they are over $300 something in Aus. $200 delivered Amazon. We get so ripped here

    • Hmmm the 3000 sheets of HP 32lb paper is still shipping for $215 for me…

  • Is this because he has his yacht and spaceship now?

  • +2

Been a prime member for a few years now, yea it's great but I'm finding more items need to meet the ridiculas minimum buy amounts. If I'm buying other items I shouldn't need to buy 4 packs of TimTams at once. You can't even mix and match to make the minimum buy number.

    • Wanted to buy colgate toothpaste, min. quantity is 3 at Amazon. Decided to go to CWH and buy 1 (same price), coz 1 toothpaste lasts quite a long time.

  • Which is a better store to buy from - US or UK?

    • +3

Hmmm maybe the cheaper one for the item you want?

    • US stuff is better on the US store.

UK stuff if better on the UK store.

      Whichever is cheaper.

      • -2

UK often send you the wrong item, you ordered an Apple, they will send you a Banana.

  • UHD Blurays??

  • +7

I feel the prices have been jacked up

    • The item I'm looking at dropped ~$130 AUD from last week, NOT including the shipping… take the $109 shipping and now a great bargain.

Then again, this item fluctuates in price like crazy, it's been as low as $148 in the last month (shipping killed it) but is now sitting at $200

    • +6

      *Jeffed up

  • Isn't there a risk of import duty buying abroad if you bought to much or were targeted

    • +4

Already incorporated in the price .

  • Am I missing something?
US Amazon still charging Shipping & handling
UK Amazon refuse altogether: "We are unable to ship non-digital items from amazon.co.uk to Australian shipping addresses"

    • +8

This promotion is to order the items for the US/UK marketplaces via Amazon AU on their Amazon.com.au domain.

You can replace .com or co.uk with com.au to get the items on the AU domain if they're listed.

      • -1

so the buying is done through the US/UK sites themselves?

  • +1

Random. How do you search the UK and the US sites for items that will ship to Australia?

    • +2

      Amazon US
      Amazon UK

Not the full catalogue, but somewhat of a way to search.

      • +1

Why not just search for stuff and filter "Prime International"?

      • thank you !

  • Thanks OP.

Might be handy one day LOL

    • As long as that day is before March 20.

  • Just wondering is the return the same as AU?

  • Here we go, now my poor budget will surely suffer.

  • A bit weird how they make it sound like a new ongoing benefit but it's actually a promo that runs about six weeks.

  • Now would be nice to see any really good deals from Amazon UK and US

  • Mmm, now all those Arctic P12 fans will be even better/easier buys

  • +2

amazon.outlet has a lot of overstock and end of line items. worth a gander

    • Anything you recommend?

      • ask yourself if you really, really need to purchase something and where its likely to be in 6 months.

  • +3

    Wow an additional ‘expanded benefit’.
So just in time for their announcement that due to ‘expanded benefits’ (added Prime Video content, Free International Delivery, etc. ) they are unfortunately forced to also increase the subscription cost of prime? (similar to +- 17% price hike in US)
This free shipping might come in handy, but I prefer to keep the same price for prime rather than these 'expanded benefits'.

  • The shipping has degraded a heap even during the pandemic, ie. is much worse than 6-12 months ago. I think they are using a lot more bulk shipping methods and so it's cheaper for them but slower for us. I often now use Aliexpress for the items I know are just a resell from there on Amazon, but I'm getting stuff from AE faster than Amazon typically. Last order from Amazon US, 9th Jan, del 1st Feb and that's not 3rd party. I'm actually considering closing my Prime, the new/good content has slowed a lot.

  • +1

    Same product - amazon.com $8.19 amazon.com.au (delivered from US) $24.00

No saving if I order from .com.au

  • -1

Last time when this offer came, I bought
    https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002YNQX16

  • was thinking its forever but only for a month and a bit
From 12am AEDT 7th February to 6:59am AEDT 20th March

    better get cracking
    lets post up good deals!

  • so we should browse from amazon.com and amazon.com.uk instead of .au?

  • +1

Wanted to buy this on .com (60AUD inclusive of international shipping)

    https://www.amazon.com/tomtoc-Nintendo-Cartridges-Protective…

But the .com.au has the price jacked up to 50AUD + free shipping - While it is cheaper, the retail price is supposed to be around 34AUD once converted.

I guess I'll wait for local stock.

    • Some items I was hoping to purchase are more expensive if I purchase from .com.au (see just above as an example). Plus choice is quite limited.

  • i think headphone prices from amazon uk isnt bad

  • also also hdd, and laptops

  • +1

If you have Kitchenaid mixer, the attachments are cheaper from US

    • +1

I think free delivery is for anything that is normally "Prime" delivery. This item isn't prime

  • You can always get free shipping for any item from Amazon US/UK. Shhhhh!!

    • +1

Ah order alot then cancel some? Not good…

  • Can someone explain why this $39 item doesn’t get delivered free?
