  • Did 10 in total for me and my partner, got 9 x $5 and 1 x $100

  • I did two lots of 5..
    2 x $50
    3 x $5
    &
    5 x $5

  • 4 x $5
    1 x $100

Winning! I may go back for another 5 for the missus at some point.

    • have you received your gift card?

  • +4

I had 3 of my 5 claims denied due to 'duplicate receipts', despite making 5 separate transactions - currently waiting for a response.

    • +4

Same. 3 of my 5 were denied. Each was submitted with a different receipt. They've obviously got the work experience kid on this who doesn't know how to distinguish between different dockets.

  • +2

I just had 5 claims denied. Da Fuq?

All separate transactions & receipts. I made the claims last night.

Will be returning them back to Woolies if this turns badly, will be super awkward with all the receipts :/

    • Strange, they should at least accept one, all 5 cannot be duplicate, right?

      • Yeah exactly.

I did take them on the same background, guessing they saw the similarity and didn't bother reading the actual receipt, just denied :/

        Lazy ass employees

        • Yup, same here.

    • -1

Out of curiosity, did all 5 of the receipts that you uploaded have the exact same file name?

My suspicion is that someone last night has already submitted purchase details with a receipt with that exact name before you. Then earlier today when Lindt's software or personnel updated their database. It picks up your receipts as the "duplicates" just based on file name.

      • +1

Nope, renamed them all so I didn't get confused. 1, 2, 3 etc

Yeah, definitely possible, I'm sure I wasn't the only genius using that naming convention. haha

        • +3

I used exactly the same naming convention for my 5 different files with 5 different dockets.

          • @DrRalph: Lmao me too. Hope that's not how they're assessing whether they're duplicates or not.

  • 5 x $5 - bummer! Still had fun 😊

  • 5x$5.

    Free chocolates, thanks for posting.

    • Just wait for the denied claim emails, like everyone else. Then you'll realise.

      • Hopefully not. I tasted one (got five of sea salt and caramel) but didn’t like it at all. $25 wasted if claims are denied.

        • Yeah, I'm not wrapped with these either.

I don't mind their Dark Chocolates, but these flavoured ones aren't great, too sweet for me.

  • +1

4 of my claims also got denied although they were in 5 separate transactions and receipts :(
Will be returning them to Woolies, hopefully no issues there …

    • +3

Lindt staff were just lazy, they didn't check each receipt properly but no use arguing with them.
Shame, they are nice choccies …

      • +3

If I get that shit I will threating them legally for not following their own t&c's .
Knowing I was a Good boy on this one having all transactions receipts done separately .
They can get ~% ed .

        • I just replied to their email. Let's see how it goes

    • +2

woolworths doesn't take refund anymore as per t's & c's. Only exchange allowed.

      • All good, will exchange with $50 worth of Cadbury just to spite them.
        $45 actually, already opened a pack :(

    • +4

Same here. Just got an email saying my claim has been denied because of a duplicate receipt?

Had 1 pack/ receipt how can it be a duplicate?

Reason: This receipt has already been used and is a duplicate As per terms and conditions of this promotion. (a) only one (1) entry permitted per transaction regardless of how many packs of Lindt Caramel squares purchased in that transaction in excess of one (1) Please visit https://www.lindtshopperrewards.com.au/terms

check the Promotional FAQs or Contact Us.

    • -2

Just wondering did all 5 of the receipts that you uploaded have the exact same file name?

My current suspicion is that their software/personnel does a check on the receipt name. So if all 5 of your receipts had the same name, your first claim went through but the 4 subsequent claims got marked as "duplicates" because the later receipts had the same name as your first receipt.

Another scenario could be that last night someone else already submitted a receipt with that name before you submitted yours. So the later receipts are marked as "duplicates".

      • Possible as our scanner's auto-generated names might be quite similar if not exactly the same.

        Mine are named CCIddmmyyyy.jpg

      • +7

No, I took 5 different pics with my mobile so the timestamp is different for each file.
        They're just lazy checkers

      • +3

It should not matter what the file is called. It is their duty to sight each individual receipt and make an adjudication on that basis only.

Maybe they will try and make an excuse that you can only claim one per person per day.

  • +2

Can call them at 02 98542520.

    • Actually the promotion is run by

      PILGRIM COMMUNICATIONS PTY LTD

      they close at 6pm

      • The same company behind the Mutti Pesto promo

  • +1

    10 x $5

  • I've received "Your claim has been denied" email at 4:07pm. I submitted 5 last night and the email doesn't have any reference numbers. So no idea which one is the "duplicate"…

  • +13

    BoycottLindt

  • Oh no… Hope this lindt thing is not a scam…

  • +1

bought 2 (one of each flavour), 1 denied claim, no update on another. Both claims made on separate receipts.

  • -2

    4 x $5
    1 x $50

    $45 profit

Will go get 5 more today

    • +4

Claims are getting denied, I'd wait.

      • -2

Just did mine like 10 min ago

Im assuming people are using fake addresses with new phone numbers , the ones denied would be the address used by that person

        • +2

Submitted 5 claims with my real address and phone number, got 1 denied email so far.

        • +2

Nope, all legit details for my wife and I. 5 claims each with seperate receipts for all.
Just lazy employees assuming the receipts are dupes instead of actually reading them.

        • +2

You would be wrong in assuming that.

Myself and a friend did everything legitimately and but the T&C;s and got 4 out of 5 rejected. Assuming the first one went through & their BS is claiming the subsequent claims are duplicates… which they are not….

          • -3

@nismo: What i meant is a random person is probably using random addresses for entries, and these maybe yours and gets denied because your addy already has 5 claims

Its like buying a lottery ticket with a guaranteed win.

            • @easternculture: I get what you are saying but I don't live at number 10 Downing Street (for example) and my address is very unique, I doubt anyone has used my (and everyone else's) address for this promo.

  • +7

Same details and 3 separate transactions. One denied so far and not mentioned which.

All this despite their conditions "Limit 1 entry p/transaction. Max. 5 entries p/person."

    Someone not checking properly.

  • +4

Same, entry was denied citing duplicated transactions. Someone doesn't know how to read woolworths receipts.

  • Anyway I reckon the dark chocolate is bloody terrible .
    The milk is great .

    • And I know definitely some of the Burner Boys are going to get burnt losing $100's gift cards using duplicates hehe :)

    • Loved the dark choc version (and I don't even like caramel).

  • Does everyone receive confirmation emails after submitting the claim?

    • Nope not a single confirmation

      • Ok thanks. I didn't receive any. Let's wait and see.

    • +1

      No confirmations, only rejections.

      • +1

Got 1 gc email early this morning, my other 4 were denied & I'm following up with them, just like every one else I guess.

        GC = gift card

  • +1

Received two claim denied emails when I submitted 3, have sent them a message through their contact link.

  • Did anyone get 5 confirmation emails for a name ?

  • When I submitted a photo from my phone camera it pretty much instantly went to the main page. Maybe I have to submit an image file instead?

  • +19

I'm aware of multiple other people being impacted by this, one friend has sent the following to Lindt, others may want to adopt a similar approach. Lindt are clearly running a scam promotion in my view.

"I have in the past few hours received multiple emails from you telling me that my claims have been denied because I used ‘duplicate receipts’. I note:

    1) I submitted 4 claims within the last 24 hours. Each of these had entirely different and separate receipts. Your claims that these were duplicate are simply fanciful.
    2) I am aware of multiple online reports that you are denying other people claims for similar reasons.
    3) It appears that Lindt is running a false promotion, where you advertise to pay a reward when a claim is submitted but in truth never intended to honour that promise.
    4) You have until Monday February 14, 2022 to honour all 4 valid claims that I have submitted otherwise I will refer the matter to NSW Fair Trading and the ACCC.
    5) I also intend to contact A Current Affair so that they can run a story on how Lindt is running a scam promotion - Getting people to buy their products and offering rewards for doing so but never intending to deliver on those promises.
    6) I resent having to follow up on this because Lindt has acted dishonestly. You are doing irreparable damage to your brand."

    • +2

      Good 1 Doc .
People only need to change 1) claim numbers .
      5) Relevant State/Territory Fair Trading body .

      • +8

For this to work, Lindt needs to have a barrage of messages from unhappy people who have identified their clear mistakes.

People don't need to use this exact template/message, but do need to act immediately to call out Lindt for dishonest behaviour.

        • +3

I suggest you take a picture of all 5 receipts side by side then tell them to cross reference them against each receipt you have claimed. Then wait for their apology.

  • +1

This feels like the bic/weber promo all over again

    • what about the weber promo. i recieved one but yet to receive the second one.

  • +2

3 products on 3 different receipts - 2 claims got rejected because they claimed they're duplicates. Anyone else having this issue

    • Read the comments. Many people! Act now to protest!

  • +10

Here is the link to their facebook post for this promotion: https://fb.watch/b4z7pGGkAF/

Comment under it saying fraudulent promotion

    • Great idea

    • I made a comment on that post last week. I've now been blocked from comenting further! Seems they're trying to shut down the negative comments.

    • It’s been removed off FB

  • 5x$5 voucher. Oh well free chocolate.

    • +2

Except it isn't…. Read the comments

  • 5x for myself, 5x for the Missus. Got 8 times 5$ and 2 times 10$

    • Only if you actually receive the eGCs later. See rejections above.

  • Entered once just now, $5.

  • Telstra/Bigpond don't seem to like their website saying:

    "Malicious Content
We've blocked a website that may contain Malicious Content. The http://lindtshopperrewards.com.au site you've been blocked from visiting may contain viruses, trojans or spyware that can be harmful to your devices.

Did you know that Telstra Broadband Protect lets you set what times that your kids can go online in the home, including Homework Time so that you can restrict social networking and gaming while they study? Find out more"

  • If I had to guess, I'd guess they're rejecting them based on timestamps. The partial but not full rejections of people who bought in rapid succession at the self-checkout would have some but not all on the same hour:minute timestamp. However, the transaction number at the bottom is clearly different for all receipts so would have been a better check…

    • +2

It doesnt make sense to use timestamps. Transaction numbers are unique and these numbers should be used. Otherwise it would be abused easily.

Maybe some people uploaded the same receipts.

      • +1

Actually scratch that theory - I have 10 receipts for 2 people, with 6 unique hour:time stamps across the 10, but had 6 rejections rather than 4, so in that case definitely not based on unique time stamps.

      • -1

        Maybe are you kidding ?

Definitely been abused big time by some :)

  • +2

I received 2 declines and my partner received 4 declines. so stupid

  • +1

    4 x $5, 1 x $10,

Now let's see if they claim 'duplicate receipts'. Mine all have the same 1 item, since that was all I wanted from Woolies today, but they have different time stamps since it takes a little over 1 minute to check out when paying with e-gift card.

  • +1

    9 x $5 and 1 x $10. 6/10 declines - definitely disappointing

  • +2

Won 4x $5 and 1x $100. Just received 4x $5 gift cards via email but the $100 was declined..

    • +3

Looks like they might start cheating people from the larger prizes .
Makes sense to check larger prizes carefully with the lack of labour they seem to have .
But most will still be legitimate claims .

      • I have a screen recording of me actually winning the $100 one, but not sure if the video will even help

  • +4

Just received all 5 gift cards this morning. 4x$5 and 1x$10

    • +1

I hope it the start of them getting their act together and not just rejecting similar looking receipts without a correct check .
Surely it is easy to distinguish by the 4 digit TRAN # .

    • Did you use different names and details?

      • +1

Same details (name, phone number and address)

    • When did you make the claim? I put in a claim yesterday afternoon (Thur), won $5, but haven't heard from them yet (it's now Fri night). Only made 1 claim, so couldn't be a dupe.
