  • I have changed the URL, was saying out of stock, should be correct now.

  • Thanks OP. What is the difference between 5 and 5 Pro?

You could get a kraken(intel x15) with full powered 3070 (145w) with a 2k165hz panel for the same price as this.

The kraken does only get a single 16gb stick so no dual channel and no windows license. But imo these are all problems that can be solved down the line but you surely cant upgrade neither the screen nor the gpu.

If you want a more complete gaming setup that you don’t need to fiddle anything to get good performance, L5 is still better however, it gets mux as well.

    • Is this a review of the kraken?https://youtu.be/3AmtDtw2XtQ
What would I need to fiddle with?

      • Yes. The two are nearly identical. Basically, you need to acquire you own windows license. And you might need to redo the thermal paste application/update bios-the stock thermals looks bad. For three, in order to get dual channel on the memory, you need to buy another stick of 16GB 3200mhz ram.

    • note that this is the 'lite' version, not sure if theres any differences compared to the regular one

Lite-no windows activation provided as I mentioned in y comment :)

    • really happy to see the local guys have been able to step up and out-compete at least on value!

$1500 would be a great price, considering ryzen 6000 series is already launched

    • I don't think it will drop to that price anytime soon. For one the 6000 series seemed to be coming out much slower than last year (maybe due to production issues?) when AMD chips were first in the market. Intel based MSI and Asus machines are already out for pre order (or even shipped already) yet we still have seen no news for 6000 series laptops here in Oz.

For two Lenovo doesn't seem to be wanting to clear the old stock anytime soon it seems, even though it's just by a small difference, this price is worse than black friday's $1899 deal or the $1871 deal back in July last year. You would think we will see some better discounts, like some higher end laptops have been, but no. They seemed pretty firm and confident in selling the legion 5 non-pros' at $1900.

    "This code has expired."

  • Thought I would share. Bought this laptop for a customer of mine and after an hour or so of setup the screen started showing lines all across it.
Nearly 2 weeks later and lots of phone calls I am still waiting for it to be picked up by lenovo so I can eventually get a refund.
Service has been terrible and would never buy from them again.
