[Pre Order] $450 Bonus Top-up Voucher for Trade-in Purchase of a Samsung Galaxy S22 Series Phone @ JB Hi-Fi

480

Saw this JB HI-FI Trade-in bonus at JB HI-FI online
Seems to match the Samsung trade-in bonus however, I get $50 more for my note 8 on JB's trade-in site.
Can also stack it with the JB gift cards for further discounts.

I'm unsure on their no-return policy on their trade-in if it charges you the bonus or just the trade in device value.

How do I use my BONUS top-up coupon?

Simply follow these 4 Steps:

  1. Get a trade-in valuation quote via JB Trade-in website
  2. If you accept the valuation, then complete the Trade-in process to get immediate access to your JB Trade-in Credit via email
  3. Your 'BONUS Top-Up*' email containing your unique one-time code will be sent to your same email address. You will also have the option to redeem your coupon that will be sent to the same email address.
  4. Apply both your Trade-in Credit and BONUS Top-Up voucher towards the purchase of the eligible device

* Bonus Top-Up voucher can only be applied to the eligible devices listed in the promotional offer. Devices not listed in this offer will not be eligible to receive the Bonus Top-Up value.

          • @Italkdigital: Did you have the same experience? Looking to trade in a S8+ which has a $40 trade in value in decent condition but mine has a cracked back. JB with trade in seems to be cheaper than samsung edu pricing

I think the website is cactus 🌵

Trade in for Fold3 is $1100 plus $450 trade in credit should be about $599 out of pocket for Ultra 512gb. But if I do not send in and sell for extra $500 more - it should be workable?

    • $1100 trade-in credit is great for your Fold3 but is it worth more privately? Try this site below just to see what they offer for your Fold3, yes workable if your Fold3 worth more privately and you neg returning your Fold3 to Jbhifi and then sell privately

      https://www.webuyback.com.au/m/

My s21 256gb fetches $670 sealed brand new on above site, not to bad actually when I sold my other S21 256gb new on eBay for $780 mind you eBay charges 13.4% commission so offer is very close without the headaches of eBay

  • Does anyone know how you go about selecting the free gift? The advert mentions that you select it during the pre-order process however, that wasn't an option for me.

    • +1

I guess once the order is shipped, we need to redeem it directly with Samsung.

  • Anyone received the bonus coupon email? I did it last night but nothing yet this morning. Have also sent them an email and it’s been more than 2 hours now…

    • +1
Once u sign up for their newsletter do u get this email asap ?

      • Not so far for everyone posting above including me, which suxs 🤪

  • How do we get 450 trade in credit ? I got voucher for trading value $600 for Google 6Pro but how do I get another 450 ?

PS : Got it after 5mins.All good

  • I have a Note 9 in great condition and the JB trade in website is quoting $180. If I was to go ahead with this and also receive the $450 bonus trade in value being offered for the S22 Ultra would I only be charged the $180 for holding onto the device, or would I be charged the total of $630 ($180+$450)? The device is worth around $300 to me to hold onto as a backup :).

    • In theory and people doing the same as you've mentioned negging on trade-ing in their mobile so yes, Jbhifi changing the rules/deal who knows, same here Note 9 even if it's not worth much with a small cracked to corner screen can hardly see id rather keep it as it's Dual sim 512gb varient, certainly wouldn't give it away for $95 Jbhifi trade-in value

  • Can we purchase samsung care even if we purchase phone from jb hifi and also can we get discount on samsung care with code?

  • Hi guys, does anyone know how you claim the pre-order bonus packs from JB-Hifi?

  • According to the bottom of https://jbhifi.squaretradeup.com.au/ under MOST FREQUENTY ASKED QUESTIONS

Devices not listed in this offer will not be eligible to receive the Bonus Coupon value.

Trade-in orders that are cancelled, will automatically mean coupon cancellation.

If we don't send the trade-in item does that mean it's cancelled, thus cancelling the bonus coupon ($450) and allowing them to charge our cc? What y’all reckon?

    • what if we don't send the phone?

      • Have to read the T&Cs , as to whether the only reverse charge is the trade-in price. So this is a shortcut to a $450 discount.

        • If You do not hand over Your Device (properly packaged as described herein) to Our nominated freight provider within 5 business days of the Offered Date, We will charge the Offered Trade-In Value to Your Payment Card. If the charge is unsuccessful, We will continue to charge Your Payment Card until We have recovered payment of the Offered Trade-In Value

          • +1

@Rehmansayani: So looks like they will only charge the trade in value :)

            • @Lionchu: Still can't work out the best deal? BYO from JB (get $10 off for port In Telstra chat) and get a $300 gift card
Buy S22+ incl goodies + gift card+ tradeIn

Not sure this one is profitable or not as compared directly to Samsung

              • @Rehmansayani: Yeah I can't decide either, I'm actually doing this to prohit but I'm hoping to do this few times over as I have few phones to trade-in (which all I won't send), but surely the Samsung deal is sort of better cause it has the free Bonus care+, hopefully I make enough prohit lolz to finally end up with the S22 Ultra 1TB through Samsung, so that way my Ultra will have care+, scarey carrying a phone that expensive without any insurances, definitely will be getting a full wallet case for it also and Samsung is the only one that has the 1TB Ultra version

                • @Italkdigital: Actually, I am looking for s22+ 128GB for my partner. But don't want to end up getting less discounts :)

  • It's annoying that they dont have the 1TB available

  • Is it worth upgrading from S21 to S22?

Same question as everyone else, trade in value for S21 256 GB is $520, but do you guys think we can keep the device and still keep the $450 trade in bonus?

    • Functionally there will be minimal difference - So the equation here is weighing the $300-$400 top-up cost against a slightly faster processor and recovering one year of warranty/updates. Personally I'd say it's marginally okay but not amazing. However if you could tax deduct the invoice then that turns the table.

I am hanging around for a better deal in a few months time. Typical honeymoon price for a new product announcement but can't see how they won't drop the price in a few months as I doubt the these things will fly off the shelf in large volumes.

      • Predicting that the higher end storage units will be problematic in the supply chain based on the manufacturing contamination. Or Samsung use it as an excuse to back off from the higher storage supply.

      • +1

Though the new devices price will drop over time, your existing device trade in will also drop. So there is a high chance having same out of pocket now and later

I found using mobileguru have the best trade in value for me.
    https://www.mobileguruaustralia.com.au/sell/

    For mint condition s21 ultra 128gb $890
    Jbhfi $700
    Samsung $610
    Mazuma mobile $850

    • Not bad $700 for my S21 256gb, considering I sold the same s21 256gb on eBay for $780 it's actually not a bad trade-in deal, thanks shall bookmark this one, I did have my mobile browser with a pop-up if I want to still go to the mobileguru site, come up as a security issue so thought I'd mention that,..(ok tried thr site again, seems to be a one off security issue, all good👍🤪)

      https://www.mobileguruaustralia.com.au/product/sell-samsung-…

    • Thanks for this - another choice to do comparison. For mine, webuyback.com.au still offer the highest for me.

  • Can we use any coupon coad or extra gift card ?

  • Hi, with regards to the bonus gift packs, how do we choose which one we want? The option is there when you go through the Samsung site but I didn't see the option on JB HIFI.
It looks as though JB is the only option as the trade up function appears to still be problematic on the Samsung pre-order page.

    • +1

Is Jbhifi offering one of the options as default if so just wondering which one from here as I haven't as yet ordered one or gone through the process at all, and I think there different options for each model of the S22, S22+ and S22 Ultra, not sure which your aiming for as here?

What do you think about the Vodafone trade-in deal?

          • @Italkdigital: Isn't better to get Optus/Telstra deal with (Watch/Tablet) respectively.

They both offer port In discount ($10).

            • Neither of Vodafone/Optus/Telstra plans include Samsung care +

You can also get a BYO plan from JBHifi (Telstra) + $300 gift card - get port In discount from Telstra after getting the plan activated from JBHiFi

          • @Italkdigital: There thing is, I don't want to be on a contract. I'm looking to buy outright. It seems my options are Samsung direct (if I can't get the trade up code to accept) or JB. With JB I'll get an extra $50 trade in plus the possible extra $100 credit. With Samsung I'll get the Samsung Care for free.

            • @PatchyFog: that's the catch, it depends on us what we actually need. Can also get from education store adding separately the buds too

  • +2

Does JB HIFI In store price match Samsung EDU / EPP??

    • No, I've asked about this before and they don't price match the EDU/GOV stores, only the Samsung retail store.

  • Is this the best deal for S22 series yet?

  • Hey peoples……I presume we can trade in any eligible device for this promo (ie an Ipad) or does it have to be a "phone"??

  • HEADS UP! Samsung Store has a better trade-in overall value than JB Hi-Fi (in some variants).

    S22+ 256gb in JB cost $1649. add the $450 trade-in voucher its now $1199
S22+ 256gb in Samsung stoore (not education) cost $1649. Trade-in voucher for s22+ is $400, which when applied is now $1249.

However, using "BONUSCARE" in checkout, you can get free 1 year samsung care, which cost $249 orignally ($149 for now cause discounted).
Not to mention if you have newsletter promo, you'll have $50 off more.

LAST, but not the least, you will have access to samsung limited edition colours, that can only be bought in samsung store!!

I don't know the trade-in value for S22 ultra, so you need to have to check it. Also, they say that "BONUSCARE" in education store does not work, so use the OG samsung website. Good deal anyway!

  • Another HEADS UP! 👍😁

Not sure if one can get bonus care+ through Vodafones Samsung S22 trade-in deals but their bonus trade-in voucher is worth $600 with all the S22 models including the Ultras, (over Jbhifi $450/Samsung $400 for S22 Plus models only otherwise $350 for rest) and no contracts on their plans so one can neg within one month on their cheapest $40 postpaid plan as ones required to join a plan intially for this deal (effectively making the bonus trade-in voucher of $600 too $560 on paper)

Definitely would be handy to get the Bonus Samsung Care+ but I think if one doesn't care much about the free Bonus Samsung Care+ then my opinion the Vodafone deal is the best so far money wise, love everyone's opinions on this?

@boneless-skeleton not sure which Samsung store deal your referring too only one I can see has a $350 bonus trade-in in voucher, you wouldn't have a link? well if it's better then Vodafones certainly rather go for it

Ok found it, seems to be $400 bonus trade-in voucher only for the S22 Plus range, normal S22 is only $350, all directly through Samsung, is Samsung bonus care+ for 1 year or 2 years?, anyway not really important for me my aim is to sell the S22 once I receive it, maybe 2 off them or dare I say more, hopefully pays off, well close for a 1TB S22 Ultra they're so expensive 🤣
    https://ozb.me/o/2rb2?u=tw

    • @boneless-skeleton Ok a turn around on my part lolz, so I'm wrong in one sense,. funny how a little detail in T&Cs can dramatically alter an overall deal, so everyone ignore what I wrote above unless you planning to stay on a Vodafone plan

      T&C's for Vodafones S22 trade-in deal

will receive $600 Bonus Credit (plus any trade-up credit) if they: (i) sign up or upgrade, and stay connected to a selected plan over 12, 24 or 36 months (‘Eligible Plan’); and (ii) trade-in their Eligible Device by 31/03/2022.

And confirmed above with Vodafone chat, we'll now this is the worst S22 trade-in deal unless one is planning to stay with Vodafone either on a 12, 24 or 36 month plan then Vodafone deal is a better deal for Vodafone customers👍

Edit: suxs I can't just delete above, blah blah blah, sorry all lolz

    • Isn't it better to go for Optus then?

they mentioned: If your plan is canceled you won’t receive a pro-rata refund for the remainder of your payment cycle. Any related device payment plan will be canceled and you’ll need to pay out any remaining device payments in full and any other charges owing, as a one-off payment. Subject to our standard agreement and your consumer law rights.

Optus is giving the watch4 as well

      • @Rehmansayani above are you talking about Vodafone cancelling out of plan early?

Which Optus deal too you referring to by chance would you have a web link?, haven't really seen anything mentioned with Optus apart from what I posted below HM & OW stores, ok I'll check there website out again

Edit: Ok I see the free watch4 deal from Optus, watch4 valued at $549, don't see anything about trade-in's I guess this is similiar to the Telstra deal which they offer a free Samsung A8 tablet, same perks from Samsung also as for Telstra and Optus, though with Optus looks like you need to join a month to month plan, lowest postpaid plan is $45, maybe cancel within the month (but do they penalise one as Vodafone?), Telstra offers outright purchase for there S22's does it still include the A8 tablet

Jbhifi is $450 bonus trade-in voucher (another $100 if one got the email voucher, not sure if there are any other stackable vouchers)

Samsung s22 $350 s22 plus $400 bonus trade-in voucher but you also get the free Bonus care+ (if one subscribed for the s22 etc opening event)

Which is better don't know starting to get confusing, I better research again and double check things or I'm gonna screw myself lolz

  • Optus has trade-in bounes? Like Vodafone and JB ?

    • Be careful with Vodafones trade-in bonus as I mentioned above you loose out on the trade-inbonus if you pull out early on any of there month to month 12, 24 or 36 months plans, never seen any Optus deals accept with Optus through Office Works and Harvey Norman though there either $69 and $79 high postpaid plans but maybe worth if you don't mind paying that much per month

      • so if we don't really want to keep the plan after 1 month then we should not go with Vodafone? right? that's what are you saying as we going to lose that trade-in discount

      • That's incorrect.

The 12/24/36 months are the handset repayments so you have the option to either make monthly repayments for the entire term or leave and payout remaining balance. The $600 bonus + your trade-in value will be deducted from the purchase of the device so final purchase price will be adjusted accordingly.

For example if buying an S22 256Gb with RRP of $1349:

        $600 (bonus) + $160 (S10 trade-in value) = $760
        $1349 - $760 = $589

        For 12mth term: $589 / 12 = $49.08 per month
        For 24mth term: $589 / 24 = $24.54 per month
        For 36mth term: $589 / 36 = $16.36 per month

So if you decide to leave after 1 month you just need to pay the remaining balance out, which is 11/23/35 months depending on what you've chosen.

Also, you need to sign up to one of the SIM plans but they're month-to-month so can leave anytime.

The only thing I haven't had confirmation is whether these come with Vodafone branding along with their pre-installed apps….

        • If you cancel your service early, you need to pay out the remaining balance of your Mobile Payment Plan at the undiscounted RRP as you’re only eligible for receiving the device discount if you stay connected with us on a selected plan for the full device repayment period.

        • @ LiQiD not that I care your pointing to me I'm incorrect but I'd rather be corrected, so certainly go for it as I'm getting mixed messages from Vodafone over chat and yet to speak them over the phone again,..

What I've been told from Vodafone chat just about the $600 bonus trade-in voucher (not the trade-in credit valued against one's trade-in mobile) that the $600 bonus trade-in voucher is over the term plan one picks either 12, 24 or 36 months, as in the T&C's and what I was told on chat, so this voucher becomes a discount every month, so if one picks 12 months for example the $600 BTV is spread over 12 months I.e. 600/12 = $50 per month discount,..

Now if you leave Vodafone within 1 month

One you'll pay 11 months left of the repayments left of the S22 phones RRP value

Plus you'll loose 11 months of the $600 bonus trade-in voucher (not a one off $600 discount against the S22 as other trade-in deals) which is a monthly discount now, so you'll loose 11 x $50 = $550 of discount, if you dont stay the full term one applied for this case 12 months and leaving in one month

I'd love to be corrected as this would be the best trade-in deal if one leaves within one month

Looks like by above T&C's your also forced to trade-in your old mobile or you won't also get the $600 bonus trade-in voucher for example with Jbhifi trade-in deal you'll only loose the trade-in credit but not their $450 bonus trade-in voucher if one changes their mind trading in their old mobile

My opinion if this $600 bonus trade-in voucher is called "a voucher" and as you've pointed out should go against the discount of the S22 RRP price in one hit,. not be broken up as a discount over the plan term

          • +1

@Italkdigital: Under the Galaxy S22 series Bonus Trade-in Offer in their T&Cs, it states:

"Trade-up credit and Bonus Credit will be added in full to offset termination costs from your existing MPP; or if you simultaneously sign up and stay connected over your chosen new MPP period with an Eligible Plan, credit will be spread in equal monthly instalments over the term of your chosen MPP period and applied to your next available bill."

My understanding here is that if you decide to leave early then all you need to pay is the balance of RRP - ($600 + trade-up value) x remaining months.

Also with Voda, for a 'Good Working Order' S10 it will get you $300 whereas with everywhere else its $160 circa….

"Customers who purchase a Samsung Galaxy S22 5G, S22+ 5G or S22 Ultra 5G between 10/02/2022 and 24/03/2022 (unless extended) will receive bonus credit rounding up their trade-up credit to $300 when they trade in an Eligible Samsung Device in Good Working Order by 30/03/2022. Trade-in value for Eligible Samsung Device plus bonus credit will equal $300. Eligible Samsung Devices are: any Samsung Galaxy S10 Series device."

            • @LiQiD: I wish you were right as this would be the best trade-in deal and not that I've tested myself seems they offer a better trade-in credit also, but I was told on Vodafone online chat is you'll loose out the bonus trade-in voucher and looks like also the trade-in credit if you terminate/cancel your MPP plan early

Ok the above T&C's you posted

Trade-up credit and Bonus Credit will be added in full to offset termination costs from your existing MPP plan

Edit: it actually might mean if your already on an existing plan, of course moving out early of existing MPP plan (to the new one) thats the termination costs, so the Trade-up credit and Bonus Credit will offset the old MPP plan termination cost first, (so it won't be applied to the new MPP plan unless I'm guessing not all the credits are used up for termination costs then the left over will be moved to new MPP plan as a "monthly" offset)

or if you simultaneously sign up and stay connected over your chosen new MPP periodwith an Eligible Plan

So above is for those who newly signup, but then it states "simultaneously" so I'm guessing for those who move from an old MPP plan to a new MPP plan? Or they've added simultaneously to confuse people lol

with an Eligible Plan, credit will be spread in equal monthly instalments over the term of your chosen MPP period and applied to your next available bill

Firstly the term "credit" above is for the combined Trade-up credit and Bonus Credit, very important as the T&C's start of with the above comment then simplifies to just "credit" in the rest of the T&C's

If credit is spread over ones chosen MPP plan, why are they spreading it in the first place, why is it not upfront like the rest of trade-in deals on offer

And it finnishes off with applied to your next available bill, so if you leave early there won't be an available bill, the credit won't be applied anywhere, do you think you get that credit in your hands because basically above that is what your saying, mind you again the term "credit" means,.. Trade-up credit and Bonus Credit so you'll actually loose on both (minus the x months you stayed with their newly MPP plan

Also there are more T&C's like vinzchang above post which actually in simpler terms states one will loose out in monies/credits and paybacks leaving ones newly MPP plan early

Honestly first best to talk to them over the phone, certainly go through the T&C's with them, personally I think it's a sneaky T&C's on Vodafones part and also how they promote this on their webpage, I was like you in the beginning about this deal (dare I say posting this as a better deal on the other deal threads) till I spoke to them on online chat then I realised I was completely wrong with my assumptions

I did have a lady call me back before the online chat I had, cause I left my mobile number with them on a previous quick chat, she was wanting to help me to signup, fortunately I told her too call in a couple of days and didn't end up signing of course

Anyway might try to call them again, certainly like to know your input about this further, really I still want you to be right lolz

One point though if you like and have good service with Vodafone then this would be a great deal but technically there MPP plans are really a contract of some sort well there are big penalties leaving early but also current they have great deals on their MPP plans, the $50 plan with unlimited calls etc plus 200gb of data at full speed then slows down to 10 Mbps, still a reasonable speed, I think enough for two Netflix streams?

Wow what a long one and on my phone too

              • +1

@Italkdigital: That's an awesome effort responding from your handset!

Anyway, I've been getting mixed messages from various chat agents but it makes sense that Voda make you commit to a min 12mth term to claw back the cost…..

I eneded up pre-ordering from JBHifi and sent them an email with a screenshot of the promo for the bonus $100 egift asking when I will be receiving it - got a reply stating I will get it after picking up phone

I didn't get the actual email with the promo so pretty happy with this….

                • @LiQiD: Yeah I had mixed messages too from Vodafone online chat, but I decided too call them as I was hesitating moving from Optus too Vodafone cause what my Optus postpaid plan included for $50,. one important feature roaming in 35 selected countries with unlimited calls and smses to the other 35 countries listed (zone 1 countries and Australia of course us included) which would cost $10 a day for roaming with Vodafone ~$300 a month, but then thought how long will covid go for and when will I ever travel again overseas and Vodafones $50 calls plan included 200gb and slows down to 10Mbps, yummy, my plan is an old plan but there is a new similiar $55 business plan which has the same roaming features I could move to later on

Long story short they actually went through a credit check and I failed, sort of glad cause I would've committed 36 months with them, yeah I also asked them above questions yes you need to stay signed up for the term of the plan 12, 24 or 36 months or you'll loose both credits/vouchers yupz even the trade-in credit for one's trade-in mobile, of course pro-rata amount depending how far into term you leave

I might do Jbhifi deal also but use my Note 9 imei for trade-in either for the basic 128gb s22 model to resell and make some money or go all out and get the s22 512gb Ultra ummm big money still even with the $450 voucher discount, first on the shopping list would be a full cover wallet case for the s22 Ultra

Or I could wait for the next rounds of heavy discounts as happened with the S21 range, Telstra day also is yet to happen after the s22 release

  • Trade in value for my iPad 2017 is 80, does it mean I get 80+450=530 to purchase S22? Or am I missing something?
Also, can I use the credit to purchase an iPhone instead or does it have to be S22?

  • Has anyone done a trade-in deal with JB before and not send their device in? Did you get charged the bonus? Seems like no one has shared their experience with JB here yet… 📱 Cheers.

If you use the giftcard, Square Trade up will charge you the value of giftcard, if you do not use the giftcard, it will be cancelled.
The additional coupon is not affected or charged back.

      • So we should just use the $450 bonus coupon and not use the trade-in credit e-giftcard if we don't plan to send the device in?

Apparently the trade-in credit e-giftcard doesn't expire so I wonder what they mean by it will be cancelled.

        • Yeah im curious about this too…..if you dont use the trade-in value gift card, do they just cancel that gift card or do they charge you the value first and then cancel it anways?

          • @CIMBOMBOY: If you trade in a device the giftcard won't expire.

If you don't trade in a device and haven't used the giftcard, the giftcard will be cancelled and most importantly squaretradeup won't charge you $450. :)

Hey dudes above the Jbhifi details here lots of info posted about that deal including your questions

So Jbhifi trade-in deal in short well I'll try, so you apply (important apply) to trade-in your mobile with Jbhifi, you'll get a x-amount in trade-in credit (doesn't really matter if they give you upfront or not credit/money to you) ,.. example My Note 9 is valued at $9 credit, if later I decide not to trade-in my Note 9, either I won't get my $9 credit aaas a later payment or if I did get paid $9 credit upfront then ill have to pay back that $9 back to them (both cancel each other out to $0 and you still have your old phone to sell, so fair enough

But with Jbhifi you won't loose out on their $450 bonus trade-in voucher they gave you if you don't give in your mobile to them.. BUT you still need to APPLY to start the trade-in process to get the $450 bonus trade-in voucher,..

What I posted above Vodafone to my understanding has a slightly different process, Samsung trade-in deal has the same process as Jbhifi

    • So… basically, JB hifi will not pursue the $450 bonus trade-in voucher if you don't send your phone in? What if I've used the trade-in mobile voucher, will JB still pursue both trade-in and bonus voucher?

      • They'll just pursue the "trade-in credit voucher", (great thing about Jbhifi and Samsung you get to keep the "bonus trade-in voucher, Jbhifi = $450", definitely won't happen with Vodafone their is $600 voucher but they'll let you keep it if you stay their term plan 12, 24, 36 months, best voucher if you want to stay as a customer with Vodafone and there plans are currently heavily discounted too, $50 plan gets one usual unlimited calls with full speed 200gb of data slowed down to 10Mbps) of course also you get to pay the S22 phone off either 12, 24 or 36 months

ok the rest I keep getting mixing around with with each different trade-in deal offer (this credit is either upfront or not) but at the end of the day you need to owe them back if you don't send your mobile to them, which is fair enough as it's a "trade-in credit", so this "trade-in credit" you'll either get upfront, if not upfront well you haven't sent your phone to them then of course you won't get the credit later, basically they cancel each other out to $0, as long as you go through the application/process of trading in then you'll get the say Jbhifi $450 "bonus trade-in voucher"

  • Is the $100 gift card email targeted?

    • Basically yes you needed to be signed up to there newsletter, I tried signing up after the release of the S22 and haven't got the voucher code through email

      • Yeah i had been in the newsletter list for ages and got the pre order email but no $100 in my email. Unless if this is another pre-order email list. Thanks

        • Emailed a store manager and he mentioned that if you missed the initial distribution, they wouldn't be sending that offer out in the future. They also have no way of matching that offer in store unfortunately

  • What happens if you decide not to go through with trading in your device? Your trade in value would get charged but what about the $450 coupon? Would they claw it back?

    • T&Cs says only the trade in value will get charged.

  • Phone is ordered……thanks for all your feedback and advice guys!
In regards to the Samsung gift packs….I presume these cant be claimed until we physically receive the phone…..correct??

    • Yes you physically need the phone because the claim for the gift promo code requires an IMEI plus invoice.

      • Makes sense…thank you…

Just got a call it’s ready for pick up as of today!

    • Did you get the S22Ultra?

If you did, could you check if it has MST in addition to NFC for Samsung Pay?

The "and/or" in the specs sheets leaves me very skeptical about whether there is truly MST included

      • How do I check that? Yes I got it in my hands now. Going to set it up soon.

        • I'm not 100% sure tbh. Maybe when you add a credit/debit card it might come up as an option to add as MST instead of NFC?

    • Same although mine is getting delivered and it’s on the way.

    • where are you? I've got text saying ready to pickup but staff said it was error and told me pick up on 3/4

      • I just called into jb hifi and asked and he said they sometimes come early but they didnt have any. (Belmont, WA)

        • Did they email you or just a text?

          • @DraggyX: I had a missed call on my phone so just called in on my way past.

  • Does anyone know if these S22 phones support dual SIM (physical + eSIM)?

    • Yup, I went to JBs over the weekend they had one on demo display, definitely comes with dual SIM (physical + eSIM).

  • Has anyone else picked theirs up? Just wondering if it was just cloudie9…

I definitely got it, in my hands now replying this post. Very snapy snapdragon for sure.

      • Jealous! Where in Oz are you?

  • If I am ordering S22 Ultra, is there any benefit of ordering from JB Hi-fi instead of Samsung directly. Samsung has bonus Samsung care option. We also know Samsung won't charge the bonus trade in amount if we neg on trade-in which is still a Gray area with JB. I know we can get discount gift cards with JB and reduce the price further but I received a $100 loyalty voucher to use from Samsung (yes, the loyalty vouchers are back and work with S22).

    • Samsung has rhe cancellation fee for negging trade-in, also better trade-in bonus voucher from Jbhifi what $100 more, Samsung has better chance on taking trade-ins on damaged mobiles, have I missed anything?, wallet case fixes one damaging their mobiles by accident if not getting free care+ from Samsung👍😁

  • In JB hi-fi trade in website, I can select iPhone 8 but in brackets they mentioned a model number too ..my iPhone8 has a different model number….can I still apply for trade in?
If I continue, it shows me $100 trade in credit..but when I send my iPhone, what if they find the model number different from what was on the website to start with, will they cancel the trade in? Will it cancel the bonus $450 too?

    • Well firstly you'll still get to keep the $450 bonus trade-in credit .. so what the worst scenario they'll send the iPhone back to you and you'll loose out on the trade-in credit of $100 but I'm sure your Iphone is worth more then that then just sell it privately for more

    • Email [email protected] they reply pretty quick.
