Good timing. Valentine's Day is right around the corner.

don't forget to buy pingpong balls

    • +1

My only concern about using this for S.M. (Smart Matters) is the chaffing on the skin. Coz you know sensitivity.

  • Be prepared to wait 20 mins for C&C because these boys are tiny. If the C&C room is stack they won't be able to find it.

    • +14

No sir I prefer my boys 18 plus

    • This one is the best value by far I reckon. 100m rated at 650kg with stainless eyelets.
      8mm x 100m $10. Down from $42.

      • +1

        Negative the 9mm x 25m are $2 each

        100m would be $8

        • +2

Purely going by cost, that is true, but I said value. Buy the cheap one and see what it's like.
The 9mm has no load test listed, stretches like a bungee cord, worse over time and will be lucky to last a month in the sun.
Sure, for the odd tie down job it will be fine. Go for it. Then next year, buy it again.
I'll be using my expensive $10 stuff years after you forgot about saving $2 :-)

    duct tape
    bag of lime
    shovel
    rope

  • Any good?

    • +24

Yes. Thanks for asking. I've had a great day.

      Today I got:

      Free lettuce on my burger
      20L of oil for $32
Shit load of rope for $2

      How about you?

  • +1

Thanks, there is a bunch of other SCA Branded rope on sale too: https://www.supercheapauto.com.au/4wd-outdoors/tiedowns-stra…

    • Cheers updated.

Calling "3mm" rope is a stretch..

    • +6

But girls have been telling me all my life that 3mm is big :(

      • -3

        'girls' eh?

you wearing an ankle monitor by any chance?

    • shoelaces or hutchie cord.

  • +7

Does it hold a man's weight? Asking for a friend

    • Based on a friend's experience … this has a 70kg breaking strain … you may want buy one of the thicker ropes (also on sale).

      • Imagine the rope breaking mid way through the job. No one wants that

      • So 2x lengths are 140kg and 3x are 210kg

  • Just getting my first house. What's a good generic rope to have on hand?

    • +15

depends on how flimsy your house is I guess…

    • +5

If it’s made of straw, instabuy. If it’s made of brick, forget it.

      • I need to protect against the big bad wolf. Any choices?

        • +1

twist is tougher (holding your shed down in a storm ?), braided is softer (holding your nice furniture onto a trailer ?), sash cord is weak but gentler for your girl/boy friends skin while you RP red riding hood.
buy some of each for this price.

  • +2

Wow, $35 worth of various ropes ordered. That should last a lifetime…

    • +3

See you on channel 7 news?

      • +1

Do they show Shibari on the news these days?

  • Time to buy a bag of ropes and sit down and begin rope tying practice.

  • Valentines day sorted.

    • I hope you're not dating this guy. That would be awkward

  • +1

    TOOLS , I NEED MY TOOLS .

  • Just got $40 worth of discounted ropes including the discounted ratchet tie-down rope

  • Good for bondage

    • +1

      not really

    • Cant say any of this would be great for bondage. I'd recommend something more like good quality jute or synthetic hemp rope instead. But you have to start somewhere I guess.

  • +1

Well I sure didn't think I was buying rope today. Thanks OP

  • Thanks, got 4 of them for free using the $10 apology credit from the air compressor recall they did the other day.

  • +1

Say there was a serial killer doing the rounds in Sydney and the MO is "murder by rope" - we're all gonna get calls from detectives

  • Oh and thanks OP !

  • Will they send an alert to my local police station after I bought $100 worth of discounted ropes?

  • 75m of rope later …

  • the ropes have been on and off sale at these prices since Christmas.

    • You should have told us before then!

      • it was in the SCA Christmas / new year sale post

  • Damn wish I could get this cheaply delivered.

Need some rope to put up some more indoor clotheslines or under shelter especially with the rain we have been getting lately.

Did not know 3 adult men could go through so much fabric.

Plus my bed blankets need some cleaning er yeah lots of dust and bed bugs.

    • You might get free delivery from eBay plus. My membership elapsed so I can't check.

      • good idea ebay usually saves the day when no other place can deliver for free

        • SCA is $5 for delivery, via eBay it's $7 (+ member).

          • @adinico: ah crap I ordered from ebay $7 delivery but I found another item 4mm x 33m poly rope i think it was $3 got 4

  • Thanks OP! My clothesline outside is falling to pieces, perfect timing and my store has stock of all of them 😍

Good range of deals here and I wish I could take advantage of it, but my electrician has just installed a bunch of network cable at my place so I have a ton of leftover ‘telecom rope’ (the blue & yellow stuff). He was going to chuck it in the bin, but I asked him to save it and I turned it into several different lengths of line from only 3m to about 15m. It’s handy to keep behind the seat of the Ute, and I like being able to select the length that’s appropriate for the job.

  • Going rock climbing tomorrow, perfect timing.

    • If not for this deal, you would have free climbed?

  • There's 2022's Christmas presents sorted! Cheers!

    • Got a deal for some soap?

      • Yup. Never ever throw away those little bits that you feel you can't use at the end of the bar. Beg your friends for theirs. Build a soap melting device with some Eneloops add rope to taste and hey presto OzBargain style gifts for all!

  • +1

Thanks OP, got two for kids to practice knot tying.

  • just wondering if these prices are available in store or online only price
