Hi folks, I hope everyone is safe and well. If you've been following deals you may have seen we had a delay of 2-3 weeks with a shipment held up in transit and logistics because of various freight company's staff shortages and backlogs. They'll go into build along with the last of the 3080 and 3070 Ti Feb orders, which are in build next week. Supply of the cards is strictly limited.

Intel Core i7 10700F RTX 3080 12GB Gaming PC: $2488 after 10700F-3080-FEB

    • How so? Look fine to me. Can always upgrade if you need it.

      Manners please.

Techfast is doing us a favour taking a loss on this nicely priced system and all your doing is coming in here and spewing insults. Build your own PC if you don't like this pre-built!

      • Good deal? Sure. Taking a loss? lol, no way.

  • Hey Luke, idk if right place but I made an order just wondering if I could get an update.
    Order number is TF4765022631

    • Got your order from yesterday - everything on hand so won't be long! Thanks for your order.

      • Thanks for the update mate. Have a good weekend brother.

Decent deal for a 3080 tbh.

Upgrade to a 1TB ssd and add another 16gb ram and this would be a solid gaming pc for the next 10 years.

    • +2

That's very optimistic. 5-6 years tops. The CPU is already three years old. Not bagging the offer it's a great deal.

  • Will this work with Windows 11?

    • +3

Yes, but not iOS or Android.

      • If you have the emulator

      • +2

Hmmm, might be a deal breaker.
        Can it run MS-DOS?

Couple of questions. If I was to do part time mining with this to somewhat offset the cost how much would I expect to make per day? Any upgrades worth considering on the advertised model?

    • 3080 12GB is around 60mh/s if I'm not mistaken or less, which is similar with 3070 Ti on mining performance.

Maybe you'll get around $1500 per year at current eth price, before electricity. YMMV. do your own research as well.

And this is non stop mining for a year if eth pos gets delayed in June. Whilst mining non-stop you can't play games as well not unless you want the mh/s drop to near zero.

Hopefully we will soon see BPC or MomoJuju into this prebuilt competitions

  • im unsure if this is a good deal? this is freaking old cpu do u have an option with the latest cpu?

    • +1

If you are gaming at 1440p or higher, it should be fine. Not suitable for those need strong CPU power.

  • the best whole system deals will come from Alienware during those further 20% off promotions.

    • Dell's parts are ok but their case design and custom made psu are painful when swapping the case.

    • most recent Alienware sale on Dell eBay was bit of a joke, a top of the range system only had half the SSD size of the XPS 8950 that sold out, and a 1TB HDD as second drive. 1TB HDD, for real? For all that dollarz. Hard to justify a 3090 when even the best GFX card can't do 4K 120hz on recent AAA games

  • thanks for the deal. i am so tempted but im so worried about sunk cost with new gen this year for gpu. ill have to do some more research before pulling the trigger.

  • Is it possible for all your future builds to add a 120mm air or 92mm tower cooler like a Deepcool Gammax 400/Vetroo V5 or Silverstone KR03 as a cheaper alternative over the 120mm AIO upgrade option? I know that watercooling sells to most people but a 120mm AIO is a waste of money imo.

I'm happy you guys spent a few more dollars and get a better vented case than the ones that you guys started out with which was basically a hot box for the components.

    • We went with an Antec C400 air cooler once and it ended in about 50% DOA rate in transit. Not an experiment we’re keen to try again sorry.

      • 50% DOA??!!
        Ouch.

        • Yeah. It sucked.

          • @luketechfast: I can see why the DOA rates are high with air coolers. It's basically having a hunk of metal and a fan on 4 mounting holes, getting chucked around in shipping is asking for trouble without any extra packaging to support that said air cooler.

            • +1

@MrChumps: We entirely fill the void of the PC tight with air packaging. But yeah, too much perpendicular force

  • Hi luke, i've been reading some reviews that the 3080 gainward phoenix fans are quite loud and overbearing? are they?

    • +1

Stacks of people here have them and I haven’t received any feedback about the noise. Personally I don’t find them any more or less noisy than other high powered cards under load either.

Hey Luke, when i change the mobo from the defualt to the option with wifi enabled it says the mobo is compatible with Ryzen cpu's instead of intel, would you be able to check this out?

    • +1

Might just be a listing description error. It won’t affect the board itself, you will receive an Intel compatible mobo of course. I’ll fix it, thanks for heads up

  • Hey Luke,

I just put through an order and wanted to check that you received it correctly? I'm not that good with computers and want to make sure that all the parts i upgraded will work together. Order number is: #TF4765612631

    Thanks!

    • Yep all received no problemo!

  • Hey @luketechfast,how about a super cheap tower/desktop with say 8/16 GB RAM to just surf the web and run office apps?
Say around the $350 mark or so?

    • +1

I think you'd have to go second hand at that price point. Even with the cheapest deals I've seen in the last 12 months, this would be a stretch:

      • Motherboard: $50
      • 8GB RAM: $60
      • Case: $30
      • PSU: $50
      • Leaving $160 for the CPU + (i)GPU

I think pre-COVID was the last time I saw a Ryzen 3100 for $150, though an Intel i3 10100F can still be had for $130 today.. but then you'd still have to get a discrete GPU

If indeed you could get all of it at wholesale prices, there'd be no margin left for a builder like TechFast to make it worth their while.

I ordered a gaming pc on December but still waiting… takes too long and loosing interest…

  • Seems a solid deal.

Any chance of getting this but with a 5600x and at a similar price to the boxing day deal?

  • Hey Luke. I clicked on the link and it says the cost of the PC is $2688 (10% off 2999) but you said it was $2488. What do I have to do to get the price you said?

Thanks Luke, just ordered. Finally managed to convince my Dad to upgrade from his 10+ year Harvey Norman Gaming PC he got conned into. Finally I'll be able to watch him play his Train Simulator in more than 5fps lol

    • good son! hah

Also my 3 year old loves trains

  • hey luke! I just ordered the pc but I haven't received a confirmation email for the PC. Do I have to order again or something?

    • Thanks for your order - did you get one? Otherwise PM me some of the details you used to order so I can check

  • Damn LHR!

    • Non-LHR would cost you extra $1,000 ;-p

      • That would easily be made up in 22 days of mining.

        • Really? One 3080 GPU can mine $1000 in 22 days after electricity bill?

          • @edfoo: Yep, I mine $10 a day of Vert on my 11-year-old graphics card. Doing the calcs, I can get $30 USD with this GPU. And yet, I get down voted LOL, here I gave you neggers a tip, go make some money and get educated.

  • OOS? Can't see a buy button.

    • Yep

      • Any chance of other similar deals coming up? My brother was keen on this after I told him that it's excellent value. Missed out by literally 10 minutes last night as we were browsing the page.

        • Yep!
