  • this or techfast 3080 deal?

    • +8

This has enough over the techfast deal to justify the price

  • I really do prefer atx op, wanted a 5600 x with 3080 from tech fast but they went the Intel… Idk which to go tbh…

      • Yeh pretty much, I want something with reasonable CPU as I play rust which is more CPU than gpu.

I was hoping more like 2.4k like techfast at boxing day but I'm looking atm, current PC went from getting 50-80fps to 40-8fps lately lol

        • +2

Understand. But if you say ok to use same components with cheap cost, we can definately do something for you. PM me if you want a quote

        • +1

Well the 5600x is just a more expensive CPU today, so it…costs more. The Intel tech fast deal is significantly better than the 5600x bpc option.

This particular motherboard will not be able to make the most of an unlocked 10700KF for multicore applications, although for 1440p or 4k gaming there won't be much difference.

Can a better quality motherboard/upgrade option be offered? Even some of your old Z490 stock would probably be better. Unclear what the 12th gen upgrade motherboard quality is like (but I also haven't seen reviews of the cheapest b660 motherboards so I'm not sure if there's the same degree of differentiation as there is with b560).

The AMD CPU version will probably hold together better. I'm not sure I'm sold on the value proposition of a 6900XT but if you want the fastest high res raster performance (non-ray-tracing) then I guess this is it.

  • Was hoping OP would have offered a Ryzen 7 upgrade

  • I'm looking at getting this but im not sure what the best shipping method is? Parcel(RED)
is cheapest but doesnt mentioned signature and the others do but dont mention insurance

    • Hi Tairone,

For high-value items (such as this gaming PC), we would rec auspost/auspost express as they provide insurance for orders over $1500.

Other couriers such as Aramex only covers up to $1500.

      Regards.

How could anyone think sticking a 6900XT and a 10700kf inside a case with virtually no airflow was a good idea? You could roast a chicken inside that PC lol.

    • you can install 6 x 120mm fans in the case? not the best cooling but also not the worst and remember some people do prefer smaller builds.

not sure how much BPC include in the build but you can always add more.

Also i would personally buy the AMD build from first post for $50 more.

      • I checked reviews of this case, very poor thermals and a lot of people in the comments saying they returned it - it virtually has no front air intake.
It could maybe work as a negative pressure setup using a Ryzen CPU (way less power draw) and an AIO, but it makes no sense to be building a power hungry, $2.8k system in such a case.

        • good point i did not check any reviews.

  • Mobo a bit on the low end side.. not well balanced.

Also, can someone please explain to me the difference between "Gaming" RAM and non Gaming RAM?

    • +4

If you know enough about the mobo to say it's on the low end then you know the answer to your next question too.

      • LoL, marketing and lights.

        • Yep.. Marketing, lol.

          • @Dvbargain: I want RGB non-Gaming RAM, is that even possible?

  • Let's bring on the competitions!

  • The menus are broken, it requires a compulsory b560 motherboard upgrade even if selecting the 12th upgrade.

    AMD version still available/working

  • I just ordered the AMD version of this build I got an order confirmation email and the payments gone through and now you've said my orders been cancelled because I requested it to be???? What is going on?

  • Just ordered the AMD version.. Let's see what happens.
