  • What't the quality of this stuff like?

    • The baking paper is good. We use it in the oven for baking and on the BBQ hot plate for frying fish fillets.

The only thing I would check before purchase is if the cling wrap has a slide cutter which is much easier to use on these large boxes.

Care with big rolls of Aluminium Foil - one drop can put a very expensive crimp in the end of the roll which can effectively prevent it rolling out smoothly.

I've found the Goliath baking paper awful, it tears really easily when using it in the oven and stuff stuck to it often.

the cling wrap is god awful. the foil is fine. Worse than the Coles stuff but a fair bit cheaper. dunno about the baking paper

Baking paper is great size but breaks down with some foods when you roast them. I guess it might be fine for biscuits and similar.

Baking Paper is alright. The Cling Wrap does not cling properly

  • This new cling wrap is just awful :( we had this big roll a few years ago (lasted forever and side cutter was an amazingly handy tool). Bought one last year and the cling wrap just doesn’t stick at all, so disappointed. Don’t want to just throw in the bin since it’s a lot of plastic so keep using it and every time I use it I swear haha
The baking paper though is great, have been using this big roll for more than 4 months now and it never ends :)

  • i had their Goliath baking paper catch on fire after using it to roast sesame seeds

  • Most ALDI products are good but their cling wrap is beyond terrible - made in China too.

    Avoid.

    • Which brand do you use? Where is it made?

      • +1

Vitafresh, made in Australia. I buy the Kirkland foil that is made in the US. Both sold at Costco.

    • +2

I bet you were using multiple items made in China whilst you were typing that.

Sure, it could be, but I now try to buy non-CCP manufactured products. If there is a non-CCP made alternative, I'll buy it - whatever the cost.

Of course it's not always possible, but I'm giving it a red hot crack.

  • Agree with all these on the cling wrap, terrible quality product

  • The foil is garbage. Buy the foil from Bunnings. It's even thicker than the Costco stuff which everyone knows was once the best!

This stuff is about 15x thicker than any aluminium foil on any supermarket shelf. It's almost like a bendable sheet of aluminium.

    You'll thank me later 🙂

    • Do you always need foil that thick?

    • The description says it has a non stick coating … Is that common for alfoil? … I feel like the last thing I want is plastic coating on something that can rapidly get heated to hundreds of degrees when exposed to direct heat.
