Good deal on an Ergotune if you are looking a new home office chair.

At home we have 2 of the supreme chairs which I reviewed and after a few months they still hold up really well and considering the amount of adjustability is really good.

This is part of Valentine's Day Sales for 2022.

What does a home office chair have to do with Valentines Day?

  • -1

By a chair for your significant other to try and look after them I guess? Lol I dunno…That's the only thing I can think of that makes sense.

    • Isn't it your sale?

      Creative relevance 😏🥰

What kind of discount code is available?

      Just checked the guidelines

If you have a referral link or code for a deal you are posting AND it is not in the automated system, please add it to the bottom of your post & a moderator will add it into the referral system (and remove it from your post).

  • Coupon code: 22+SOCIALHARDWAREOFFICIAL

    • (what kind of code - also looking for details on what kind of discount the code provides)

      • Takes $20-30 off - deal updated

  • What about WA?

      No option to ship overseas.

Oh if they had tagged it it would've been obvious that this had been cheaper recently.

The immediately previous $549 ErgoTune Supreme also fell under "Valentine's Day Sales"
    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/682406

and OP's title also stated that the Classic $499 was $499

Wondering where the $950 came from. Did they switch it for a couple of days while back-order stock was filling up?

This is the normal price on their website.

For Valentines day, they have inflated the prices and then giving them at discounted price which is actually original price … BULLSHIT!!

      not buying it

      • Dang thanks for the context on the price jacking

I could've been fooled as there are only a few months ErgoTune website post history on OzBargain

Brand presence on the whole seems a bit too new as well. Same points on Singapore company Australia distribution per other comments

Boilerplate decade warranty does not mean much unless it is a well-established company/brand…

I just submitted a ticket to the moderator as it's my 1st time posting. I did tick " I am associated" but I'm actually unsure if I should have.

I am not employed or paid by Ergotune to promote their brand or products. I performed an honest video review of their chairs in exchange for 2 ergotune supremes which I left a mostly positive response but did have some concerns.

I also have an affiliate link and coupon code but have asked the moderators for clarification on whether or not I can share them.

    Hope that makes things clear.

in exchange for 2 ergotune supremes

      Thanks for the disclosure

so $2k (at the was RRP) for a video review. Do you do a lot of other chair or furniture reviews (can we have your spares)

Can we do our own reviews too for an OzBargain

      • +2

Well I make videos every week and the amount of time for shooting, editing, and uploading to social media + the cost of equipment for cameras lighting etc equates roughly to that. If I was to charge them a fee for making a video from start to finish it wouldn't be far off that price.

I wanted to be as transparent as possible as I know some of you would have some concerns.

  • This vs popular/established/cheaper OzBargain Ergohuman favourite?

Or another to relegate to the category of: requires personal demo/preferences.

Do you know whether anyone does reviews of a "ten-year" durability/comfort in this ergo space 👀 or comparable stress test? My filter bubble does not reveal much.

Glean some golden gems in old historical OzBargain or Whirlpool comments to hope that the same manufacturing and quality control processes are still in use in the next ten-year range

Nice Social Hardware channel. Cool tech, electronics focus?

It looks like this was a one-off chair review :(. Optimistic on a plethora of niche chair reviewing experience :D

(Would you plan to do another video review ten years from now)

    Supreme prices;

    21/11/2021 - $549
    24/01/2022 - $549
    10/02/2022 - $549

    • Here's an unaffiliated $30-off code that popped up as I tried to run away from the ergotune website

      22DONTGO

      … 🏃💨

Seems like their normal code for a "fake" discount even with affiliates. https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/652654

their AU webpage they have one of those spin the wheels to unlock a discount code. Best I could get was $30 off.

Wonder if the codes worked on the previous cheaper deals

    Also the warranty.

ErgoTune does NOT cover the following under this warranty:
    1. Normal wear and tear including, but not limited to, the wear and tear or degradation of mesh, top portion of armrests, lumbar support, exterior of castors, variance of tightness of mechanisms.

  • I'm new to trying to find a home office chair - how does ergo compare to say the secret lab gaming chairs? Does anyone else have any other feedback otherwise for WFH desk setup what are the Goto middle.market very comforting chairs one can get? Don't neeed top of range percentile but willing to splash more.mid to closer to top 1/4 to get a real comfortable ergonomic chair given WFH is all day…

    • Hey, so I tried every chair in office-works, hated them all tbh, tried a few chairs from iKea and didn't like them either.

I did reach out to Secret Labs and Herman Miller but neither company replied and so I didn't get to try them.

What I will say about the Ergotune chair is this. I sit on average in it for about 3-4hrs while I live stream every Friday and don't have any discomfort at all.

My lower back is a problem area and with this chair it's really helped with that. I usually play games for a few hours each night and don't notice any discomfort at all.

I ended up removing the arm rests the other week but thats just a personal preference as I like to have my arms resting on the desk. My partner likes the arms, so it's just a matter of taste.

I also have a sit stand desk which I try and use and stand up a few times today as well.

I hope this helps you in some way haha :) Good Luck!
