Pretty sure it's not micro USB :P

    • Sorry, re-read your comment, my bad.

    • Sorry, looks to be "micro" in size not in specs. This was the subject line in the email. Title updated.

hmm…. I tried the first couple of pages, but couldn't see any links to any HP 16gb drives… you presumably have seen it cheaper in that list, so could you point to where that was….

      • I don't think HP v165w was ever featured on OzBargain. However xDEFiNE was just trying to compare it with every other 16GB USB flash drive. Rather than doing a search, you can also use tags:

        http://www.ozbargain.com.au/tag/16gb+usb-flash-drive

which found you past (expired) deals such as

Hence this HP offer is probably not that good, although I think it's indeed smaller than the ones listed above.

This isn't really the same as all of those others though as it's much smaller in physical size, which makes his point moot as he is comparing apples to oranges.

Ha true. I was just trying to reply from xDEFiNE's point of view. For some people it does not matter whether it is apple or orange, as long as it's fruity.

  • 1G<$1 - no way!!!

    where is the bargain??

    • ^^correction; >$1/GB = No Way!

      Cheaper 16gb usb drives elsewhere

      eg for $9

      where is the bargain??

It's small. Smaller drives tend to have bigger markups, and some people have a particular need or desire for a physically small drive (e.g. they want to keep it in a small pocket, or they need to plug it into a USB port somewhere awkward, or they just like small things.)

  • I'm not sure having such a small device is a desirable selling point. The smaller units tend to get lost / stolen easily. :)

After their last 'dodgy' sale, I've stopped ordering from them.

  • Not a deal for me but good on Op for post and effort. Thanks.
