  • Still no T2 😫

  • -1

Still no multipoint on any of these?

  • +4

These (Air 3) are a bargain at twice the price.

Having said that… the Extremely Sensitive Touch controls are a real problem. A hair, a tiny spot of moisture, or even just slightly touching your ear or cheek if youve inserted them slightly off… it's going to drive you crazy, as it did me.

Happy to report that after a few months, I am more adept at keeping them straight and clean, and the sensitivity is also fading a bit, so they don't misbehave too often now

Also, when you do get frustrated enough to throw them across the room/yard/car (as I did), they a) survive nicely, and b) would only cost $40 to replace anyways

    • +1

So after getting frustraited a few times, you would have been better off getting a good pair ;-)

      • quality is irrelevant IMO.. any buds with touch control will frustrate those working out/getting sweaty in the garden/putting PPE on or off..

i had to stop the phone function on mine (other brand) because i'd redial my last contact multiple times.. (ie my mum, whose chat level is set to stun).

i suppose i could plug the sensor up with something and just use the case/phone functions

        • i would agree that dealing with touch controls in your ear is a skill that needs to be learned. It was tricky at first for me

I'm only slightly embarrassed to say that the Air3 would be my 7th pair of touch control wireless earphones/headphones. The sensitivity on them is truly too much, it's off the charts

What brand are you dealing with, do you mind me asking?

          • +1

@thefunkfuzz: cheap aliexpress buds (think they were about $10 delivered). i have others but they are the only ones with touch control.

      • nope. The persistence paid off. The sensitivity really will improve!

    • +2

Yep. I wish I could turn off the touch controls. Accidentally use them more than I intentionally use them!

  • Is the Air3 better then TrueAir2 ?

Specs look similar to me except for time 25hrs time (TrueAir2) vs 17.5hrs (Air3) time on the total working time from what I can see

    • I have TrueAir 2 and got T3 for my daughter. Would recommend the T3 over Trueair2, for the rubber seals and ANC, sound quality is great,

    • +1

I upgraded from the TrueAir2 to the Air3 recently (and had the OG TrueAir before that). Haven't noticed a major difference in battery life myself (even though it is of course part of the specs) as I tend to use them in short bursts and they are in the case otherwise. My thoughts on the upgrade are:

-TrueAir2 had some regular random disconnections and "pairing" warnings which I have not had once with the 3. Connection seems more solid, although the actual connection to my phone after opening the case can sometimes take a little longer than with the 2.
-The sound quality on 3 seems better than the 2, and has ever so slightly more bass to my ears. YMMV.
-My 2's did not have a case with a charge remaining light (I know some later stock did) so having that on the 3 by standard is helpful.
-The shorter stem on the 3 does make them more comfortable, especially when lying down.
-The case feels much nicer on the 3, but the lid feels like it could potentially break easily if pushed too hard when open. I could be wrong, but don't want to test it.

      • Any thoughts on the mic? I had a couple pairs of 2s and both had pretty rubbish mic quality

        • I had similar comments from people I called using my 2's, but normally when I was only using one earbud. Using both earbuds seemed ok for me though.

I've only made a few calls using the 3's and haven't had any complaints so far.

          • @Detrimental: did you notice the difference in touch sensitivity between the two?

            • +1

@thefunkfuzz: I think they are pretty much the same, but I don’t really use the touch features and would turn them off if I could.

              • +1

@Detrimental: so you can't turn off the touch features, which @thefunkfuzz is so utterly frustrated with?

                does TrueAir2 has touch feature?

                • +2

                  @jamessong: Air 2 has touch.

You can't turn them off with both devices.

                • +1

@jamessong: Yes, Trueair2 has touch and the features seem exactly the same as air3 (eg tap left earbud for volume down, right earbud for volume up, double tap to answer call, etc). I just prefer to control those functions from my phone or watch.

Holding out hope for a Soundpeats app that allows this to be turned off and to be able to adjust other features.

      • Thanks for all the replies.

Ended up going for the Air3 will see how they go

    • The air 3's are better overall. More comfortable shape, less buggy on connection, louder with better microphone quality. I haven't noticed the reduced battery life yet, but my one gripe is they're even more bassy and the 2's had plenty of bass to begin with.

  • Ordered my 3rd pair as family keep claiming mine for themselves. Got the T3 as they have actual ANC for you (not just callers) and rubber seals so don't fall out as much as TrueAir2 do.

  • Got a pair of the T3s, couldn't say no at that price.

    • Can T3 work in Mono mode?

      • yes, it can

  • No deals on the H2 rep? Would pull the trigger immediately on a deal on that one

    • no H2 deals recently, I am sorry, if we have, we will post here to let you guys know
      Thanks

  • Nice deal.

I've had my Sonics for over 12 months and were great but one bud just stopped working :(
Looking for some replacements. The T2 looks pretty good - any deals on that? Or any other alternatives including those with wireless charging?

    • I am sorry, T2 doesn't have a deal in the next week, maybe will have a promotion 20% off in the week after next, please note

  • I’m curious about the Bluetooth transmitter-receiver - thinking about getting one for planes so I can use my BT ear buds with the inflight entertainment system.

But this one seems quite pricey in comparison to the many generic options on eBay/Amazon - does it have any differentiating features to justify the higher asking price?

    • I am sorry for I don't know what kind of Bluetooth transmitter-receiver you look at on other platforms, but with all information we have written on our detail page, maybe you can have a contrast yourself. Any other issues, welcome to contact me.

  • How do these compare to qcy t13?

    Eta one review I found
    https://www.scarbir.com/tws/soundpeats-air3-review

  • How do these compare to this one?? Seems like more cheaper

    https://www.amazon.com.au/gp/product/B09KY1D5X1

  • bought this cause my samsung galaxy buds+ were pissing me off and it was an amazing purchase. much more comfortable, sounds better and better mic on calls

    • thanks

  • How many devices can the air3 remember pairing for? I want to use it for laptop and phone, not at the same time, but I don't want to repair each time I swap between devices.

    • I got mine Saturday, not sure how many devices it can remember at same time but I've paired my PC and phone succesfully.

      • If you are connected to PC, turn off PC bluetooth, and then turn on bluetooth on phone, will it automatically connect to phone?

        • Not automatically for me -

If I do what you said above, when I turn off bluetooth [on PC], the earphones say 'pairing' and then press twice on the bluetooth icon on phone (Samsung S21U) and then select "SOUNDPEATS Air3" then I can connect manually however it doesn't automatically connect.

I use a bluetooth keyboard and mouse on the PC so I don't really want to disable bluetooth each time; I go into bluetooth & devices > devices select SOUNDPEATS Air3 and then disconnect then it says 'pairing', from there I tap twice on my bluetooth icon on phone and then select SOUNDPEATS Air3 and it connects

  • Bought this and had to get it refunded. It has an oversensitive (or maybe mine was faulty) sensor that detects if the earbuds are removed and pauses your music. The one I had kept on detecting that I have removed it even when I have not.

  • Hey @spcoker. Looking for a deal on the both Soundpeats H1 and the SoundPEATS Mini Pro. Can you work some magic? Thanks.

  • I purchased a pair of these and have been having problems with them. The biggest one is that when I'm on calls, people can't hear me clearly.

I've done a fair amount of Googling and tried a bunch of different things - everything from tweaking settings, going outside away from other equipment, position the phone closer, etc. I've also downloaded the SoundPeats app and upgraded the firmware. And I've used them with different phones, but not difference.

Any suggestions on possible fixes? Are there any online forums that are better to ask about these sorts of problems? Thanks.

    • +1

only thing is making sure they don't have anything blocking the mic ports, well after all the other things you've tried.

I think they just might have some dud microphones occasionally. My trueair 2's both had pretty average mics, sounds like you're not that close to the phone in general, but others think they are great.

you could try recording yourself on the phone to make sure it's not the phone connection?

other than that, just chat to customer service and get a replacement set. they are normally pretty good about it.
