i still have mine from about a year ago, noisy at speed, but effective…despite being from kogan.
misting isnt much use at all, except on high speed
I'm not sure if the physics of ultrasonic misting really stacks up as you're forcing past much of the evaporation process that provides the cooling.
I've read a study indicating a 4 degree drop compared to 10-15 degrees for actual evaporative cooling. That 4 degree drop would pale in significance compared to the perceived cooling effect of fan on skin including actual cooling by skin moisture evaporation.
But still I would be keen to try one of these regardless.
I got one to try as I was desperate since WFH and summer was coming, and it's been the difference between being able to work on hot afternoons or having to relocate to the other side of the house. I found the misting to be better than fan only, but not by much. It's not an air conditioner so don't expect miracles.

I bought the SmartMi DC Pedestal fan and it was super quiet then I bought this to find that it's much louder and the mist doesn't do much for me. I just put the smartmi closer if I need a portable fan since it's also cooler.

Arrived today, makes an annoying buzzing noise when powered on. Unusable uunless you want to drive yourself mad.
