Problem is you have to be with Vodafone for 24 months, that’s a death sentence if you want coverage.

  • I am with Vodafone for 24months @ 130 a month,
45 dollar plan, monthly handset fee Iphone13ProMax 256g
    total spend is 130x24=3120
    Iphone13ProMax 256g=2019
end up cheaper than this deal.

    • Do you have the same data?
If not, then it's not really comparable. These deals are for the larger data users.
Although even for me still a little too pricy.

      • 60g is plenty for me.
you need 0 data if u are working from home

  • Is this only available for last year's phone? Will they keep this deal for iPhone 14?

Anyone with half a brain can see that different locations have different coverage and data speed of each of the carriers.
So those say one carrier is crap is one who has no brains at all. Correction one brain cell to breathe in and one brain cell to breathe out

    • Between these 2 I agree, however I think telstra is fairly obvious to be the consistent winner of the three major telcos.

      • Not really, Telstra has consistently been the worst for me (Sydney Metro) especially for basements. Although I have hit 1000mbps+ on 5G once which I thought was pretty impressive, not that it's really any useful 😂

      • Still depends on where you are to some extent. Telstra is so slow its basically only usable for calls/texts at my holiday home in Geelong, Victoira, but Vodafone works really well! Whenever we are down there, I am always tethering from my iPhone (Felix) to everyone else's phone's, laptop's and iPad's, because they are all with Telstra and Telstra doesn't work!

    • I am at Mullaway NSW on holidays. Kogan Vodafone better now than Felix Telstra at Xmas but I understand Telstra have updated their tower and might be the opposite now. You just never know which carrier is going to be better.

  • How do I get this deal if I'm already with Optus and want to recontract? Clicking on this link goes nowhere really. Is this via the Apple store or via Optus? Just asking before I start my hour on hold with Optus.

    • Port out and sign up again?

      • The deal says I can recontract so that would make it easier than porting out? I think I have to walk in to an Apple Store to activate this deal?

        • If that's the case, you go to the Apple store and they will sign you up.

          • @aveeno bb: Yep that looks like the only option rather than wasting time with Optus chat "We're connecting you to an expert. Current wait time may be over 1 hour"

  • Does anybody live in the Illawarra region (like Wollongong CBD and surrounding suburbs) that can help comment on the service/coverage of Vodafone down here? I live and work here and only occasionally go up to Sydney or so. Thanks! :)

  • Perhaps a noob question, but are the Vodafone plans 5G capable? I can't see anything on their page about it. Optus and Telstra are quite good at promoting it as a feature.

Yes 5G. Including their prepaid range.

      • Thanks Chief!

  • Can we use Apple gift cards to pay for the discounted phone at the Apple store

    BYOD Plan:

Early Termination Fees are 50% of plan fees x months remaining + pro-rated handset credit. If you upgrade or change your plan, an Early Termination Fee for your plan and handset credit will still apply. After your commitment term ends, your plan will continue on month-to-month terms until you tell us that you wish to cancel.

    .
    .
    .
    BYOD Plan Discount Offer:

If you cancel your plan before the end of your commitment term, an Early Exit Fee for the Handset Credit applies, based on the full handset credit amount divided by the commitment term and multiplied by the months remaining on your commitment term.

  • Thinking of taking up something like this but would love some advice. I am currently due to finish long contract post paid iPhone 11 with Optus. I like cause of the perks including amazon prime for 6 months and Optus sport cause i follow the EPL. But am also sick of paying $80 a month for a phone that feels a bit tired and FaceID doesnt work anymore and has 120GB a month of which i dont even use half of that.

Should i see out the plan and buy outright iPhone 13 and then go somewhere with a BYO much cheaper plan with less data per month, or go with one of these offers for a 13 now and hopefully optus waive the rest of my plan on my 11?

    Thanks in advance.

  • Does anyone know when is this offer expired? We live 90 mins away from Sydney and would need to plan our travel but with this current wet weather it could be not till next week sometimes. Thanks in advance :)

  • Just swapped out from Vodafone today after two weeks with them, went back to Boost (Telstra). From my experience the reception (data mainly) was very inconsistent. In some areas I would get solid 5g reception, others areas the reception would oscillate between H+/4g/5g and be incredibly slow as it couldn't establish a firm connection. I enquired about the poor reception and was told there is maintenance being performed and to reset my network settings and try again to no avail. The final straw was the last two days not being able to get either 4g/5g reception across various Sydney suburbs and only having H+, I asked for a refund as I bought a 365 day p/paid plan and ported back to Boost (Telstra) which has been the most stable/reliable in my experience, even though they don't offer 5g reception.

  • Has anyone been able to get Apple to agree to a price match eg to Officeworks and apply credit to the purchase?

  • Deal has ended I do believe
