I would have joined Boost already if they had offered an esim service for smart watches.

It really annoys me that you need to use a post-paid service just to use your Apple Watch.

      • Exactly. Boost have mentioned on their website that it's in the works but who knows when.

  • No 5G unfortunately :(

    • 5g as of today!!

      • really? did you read this somewhere or did you actually get 5G?

  • Damn these are getting cheap

Boost stopped international roaming option. It may not be convenient to receive SMS authentication code while overseas. Is there any prepaid that offers affordable international roaming option?

    • +2

I read in a previous post that boost support Voice over Wifi and Sms over Wifi when overseas.

      • +1

its true and i used it to connect back to australia … wifi call is really convenient

        • Thank you Jrock and sajidmib. The information is really helpful.

@gstfree: Can confirm, I m outside AU as of now and getting sms’s. Haven’t checked the call.

@shibbu: Mate. Which country are you in? This would be amazing if calls and sms over wifi works overseas…

        • Just came back from overseas. Wifi calls work perfectly, SMS works on newer phones.
Here is the Information provided by Telstra:
          https://exchange.telstra.com.au/how-to-sms-over-wifi-telstra…

          • @soph44: Hi, I can also vouch this too. I ported my number from Vodafone to Boost today. I was also interested to know about international roaming and SMS and Calling over Wi-Fi. So I contacted The support team on chat and he confirmed that international roaming is not supported at the moment but other two works. And just now tested the Wi-Fi calling and SMS over Wi-Fi using another phone by putting my phone on airplane mode, activating Wi-Fi calling option and connecting to Wi-Fi (with/without VPN). It worked for me. I reckon it should work overseas the same way as long as we get access to Wi-Fi. Hope that helps.

          • @soph44: Were you in airplane mode the entire time? Or it still worked even if you have a local sim?

            • @BuyNowThinkLater: I’ve just come back from overseas. I used the wifi calling without issues. I kept the boost SIM card in the phone but stayed on airplane mode. Used my another phone for my local (overseas) sim.

  • I thought it was a temporary thing… is international roaming still not enabled?

  • Nice price!

  • Hi guys do you know if the data allowance is all dump at the beginning or renewed every month? Thx

    • +1

It’s one big bucket and you have 365 days to use it

      • Thanks a lot. It would not work for my tenage kids hungry for youtube and sosmed then. Cheers

Try Aldi plans. Data accumulates each month.

        • Have you looked at a Felix Sim? 35 bucks unlimited a month. Well documented across ozbargain in different posts. Voda network. I used it as my home internet downloading 500 gig a month no problems

          • @hotdish: what about speed? u must have good reception area too..

  • Does anyone knows about why some sims display telstra and some boost ? Thanks

    • It would have to do with being a retail customer (unlike a wholesale one).

    • It depends on the phone. iPhone shows Telstra, Android shows Boost as a general rule.

      • +1

        Iphone showing boost here

        • Which iPhone?

Edit: Oh. Just checked mine. It says Boost. I don’t think it used to. I usually have that text disabled. Maybe it’s been updated with the account migration for Boost services that has occurred.

          • @sween64: i do remember it used to say telstra though. guess they changed something

  • Good deal, but I can not even use 100g a year. Will hunt for other deals.

  • Isn't the SIM come with 280GB data as long as activate before SIM expiry date? Why 280GB data only available if activate before 28/03/2022?

    • +1

I believe it comes with 240gb of data, with bonus 40gb of activated before 28/3.

  • I went to purchase but estimated delivery was 17-23 March. A bit too close for comfort if it needs to be activated before 28/3 for extra data.

  • got for $198, had 2 shopback super swap GC

  • Is there anyway to see usage (call/sms/data) history with boost mobile?

Not the 7 day history that you can see on app.

    Thank you.

  • You forgot to link to the original coupon deal for SNSAVE.

  • When do these SIM cards expire? Do they have long activation dates?

    • mine expires 05-05-23
