odds are still in favour of the bull cycle in crypto extending into next year
next year is 10months away. Between now and then….there will be heaps of volatility ahead and also by next year, if bull does come back for crypto, 4080 will also be there by then with higher hashing rate etc. Regardless current-gen card will 100% be sold in off coming months. Those with patience will save $$. buying a 3080 now is just silly

These are dropping fast. I got a ZOTAC GAMING GeForce RTX 3060 Ti OC Twin Edge LHR, 8GB with a MSI MAG Z590 TORPEDO Intel ATX Motherboard to set up a mining rig. I got everything but the Ram and CPU. I got all the good stuff too with the HP server PSU. Nice mining rack. Best quality pci risers etc and no interest to go ahead with another rig. I gotta stop buying stuff like this. Hopefully won’t take too much of a hit. Wonder if better to sell it as a package or individually???

@[Deactivated]: Mate, I would check out the GPUs page on whattomine and see what's profitable. That should give you plenty of ideas to check out. I'm more into ASIC miners but it's hard to be competitive with Australian energy prices.

what would people upgrade from for this? 1070/1060? i'm surely if you have a 2XXX series u want to go 3070 at least even tho it only 10fps faster than 3060ti.
Sometimes people don't have a clearly defined objective. They make decisions based on what deals they can get.
HDMI 2.1 was a big selling point for me, as well as the crazy prices of used 2XXX series last year.
It's a pretty big step up from, say, a GTX 960
