I paid $800 for the 1080ti 3 years ago, new. I actually flipped a few used 1080ti's to pay it so technically didn't cost me anything (maybe $25 in fuel). Lol
Yep same I paid $1420 for my Asrock Phantom Gaming RX 6800 XT a while back and sold my GTX 1080 strix for $600 :D but the only weird quirk I realised was that in competitive games (overwatch, valorant and Apex) you get low 0.1 and 1% lows if you don't have the minimum frequency set to around 100 mhz below your max otherwise a beast of a card that helps fully use my 240hz monitor 😀
If more people buy, more the price remains constant. Hodl for couple more weeks people.

With Russia and Ukraine war about 20-30% of crypto mining will be affected. Prices will fall no matter what.
At this rate, even scalpers will not want to scalp anymore.
@John Doh: Turns out a lot of the scalpers were the retailers themselves. They are the ones that led the price falls. It should have been the second market but it didn't happen that way. All the way through the huge price rises the Dell systems were still selling the systems with GPU prices far closer to RRP.
That was the main reason I bought I Dell systems. I didn't want the retailers who were lying and scalping getting my money. Now all of them are offering you 3080 systems for around $2200.

Except HODLING is not buying when it's available. It's no HODL if something is out of stock that just means it's not available.
Paid $1800 for my 6800xt red devil 2 weeks ago. Sold my 1080 ti strix for $750 so $1050 for red devil is OK I guess.
