  They all seem to complain about cartridge limits.
  
  Just buy a refillable cartridge and use any aftermarket Brother, Espon or Canon CMYK ink and you should be all good.
  
  I have a very similar printer. And I have used the steps above. I can easily pull >250 Colour prints per cartridge.
  
  Be aware: The colour quality is crap and calibration doesn't do a thing. Printer is only to be used by students/people who only need to print random documents.

You can import cheaper cartridges from eBay. Not the original brand, but good enough for simple printing. Not for professional use though, obviously.

You can refill these by yourself, and even use a continuous supply inking system. The printer is actually smaller than other brand of inkjets, and uses the laser style paper draw. =)
