        • I've had the exact same experience, puzzled why. Will be going back to ABB at end of month.

    • I have speed issue I was with AussieBB before and now with Origin my speed is half and they booked an appointment with NBN technician I'll wait and if they couldn't fix it I'll switch back to AussieBB

    • +2

same here, notably certain streaming services are unwatchable, not getting along with cgnat but there are other issues which I don't have time to investigate given they only started after moving to Origin. I know ABB full service with a static ip is great but I'm saying good bye to Origin at the end of the 2 months, failed experiment

    • same here, a few times dropouts and going back to SL later this week

  • Been using from last 12 days. No problems at all. No dropouts. Good service.
Slightly slower speed compared to Aussie BB but nothing to be concerned.

  • +1

I can't complain about 2 months of free 1gbps internet but I'm sure keen to get off. I need that static IP. Also I'm not even sure how or if you even can check your data usage. Their dashboard is completely empty.

    • +1

how do you get into their dashboard…
      literally none exist?

      • I was able to log onto their website but nothing shows up.

  • +2

Do they require a notice period to terminate the contract?

    • +1

don't believe so but be interested to hear from anyone who has already cancelled as I will be doing that end of month

    • +2

I just canceled, and there was no notice period required.

  • +1

Has anybody cancelled yet? If so, did you get charged one month?

    • +2

called them today to cancel, they said there would be no charge and that I would stay connected up until the end of the month (which was billed as $0)

    • +1

They said they would send a final bill, but having canceled many previous providers using these freebies, at no point was I ever charged. This offer was just poorly worded. If there ever is a problem, a simple complaint, or failing that, a TIO dispute has always made them waive any fees.

  • Do you have to call them to cancel if you transfer to a new ISP or is it all an automatic process?

    • -1

need to call otherwise you'd be charged an extra month

    • I got my Telstra nbn (HFC) connected on 15th. Called Origin today to cancel their service (still within 2 free months) and they said that it’s already been cancelled on 15th.
