  That is a US dollar price, it is far from the cheapest, and who would want an ESP-01 in this decade anyway?

  For less posted, you get something like a WeMos D1 mini, same chip but USB interface and can easily be programmed with arduino IDE.

    Sometimes people need a specific chip, telling people not to buy a product because you think there is a better option makes you seem super arrogant

    I used a few of these in projects because the power requirements are lower than the D1 mini's, the footprint is also smaller

    ohhhh nooooooo! i just bought 3 of these suckers the other day!

    1.14 AUD each.
    (though once you factor in shipping and GST, it was closer to $2.05 - landed)

    i love the fact that for around 2 bux landed, you can get yourself a tiny web browser. (I bought some esp32s in the past, but for some reason i havent played with those yet and just love the esp-01s

  Change price from USD to AUD and it takes you back to the homepage, click on the item and it changes the site back to AUD

  You can get the ESP-01S for $0.54 on AliExpress, but shipping can take forever, ebay is $6+ so if delivery times are good, then this isn't too bad of a deal
