For those, like me, who missed out on Sony eBay's other deal today. Here is the same sound bar, same price. Difference is the others had a damaged box and in this deal they are seconds/refurbished.

      Yes. But they sold out fast. I was in the check out process when the last one was gone. Still a good price with Sonys 12 month warranty.

      I don't mind manufacture refurbished - I don't trust 3rd party

        Yeah sure. Theres a lot of delusional people on this site that will argue with you that Sony ebay refurbs are great but Sony dont actually do any refurbishment. They simply test to see if it turns on and then repackages it. Normal refurbs are to renew the product. Not the case here.

    Ohh earlier it was box damaged and now it says refurbished. Which one is it? I would prefer box damaged over refurbished.

          This is a new post, not updated. As its a completely different eBay listing to the other one. Sony didn't change it, they had two listings. I posted this one in case people, like me, who missed out on the 'box' listing.

            I think I might have got it in a minute or so, as the comments in the post were 11 seconds old when I purchased the deal.

              @akstatic: All good. 2nd's for $312 seem good too. The warranty is the same. I wasnt even after a sound bar at this time, but a $700 bar for $300 I couldnt say no.

              @Amr911: I'm not saying it is or isn't worth it. I'm alerting people who don't know much about Atmos to the fact that it's not real Atmos and will not sound like real Atmos because real Atmos requires speakers in at least 8 different locations in the viewing room including at least two on the ceiling. Any "Atmos" sound bar is trying to simulate this from a few tiny speakers all in a 1 metre wide bar (with an external mini woofer misnamed as a sub woofer).

              Sound bars are better speakers than what's in a TV, maybe this is a worthy example at its price point or maybe not I don't know. It's not like real Atmos though.

                  @Amr911: For sure call up any hifi/home theatre shop near you and ask if they have Atmos in a demo theatre room. Forget department stores like Harvey Norman.

        I'm not fussed. I only got it because of the deal. Didn't really need a sound bar, but eventually I'd have got one.
        I would be a bit disappointed if it doesn't come. But a lot of my ebay order to WA have been super late due to transport issues. So I'm not worried right now.

    Anyone received there's yet? Still waiting for mine. No contact from Sony despite remaining 3-4 days ago. Tracking number created 8th March, ETA 9th March yet it still hasn't been dispatched.

          I ended up getting a refund last night after chatting to eBay's assistant bot within the first 10 seconds.

          Disappointed that I didn't receive the soundbar though.

      I had same response from Sony ebay about one week ago. I am very disappointed with Sony as they should resolve the issue and provide updates to the customers rather than blaming the courier.

        Getting bad for me too. No followup and I escalated to ebay - they put my 'case on hold' not sure what that means.

            @Skullytor: I have complained with ACCC & FairWorks for price gauging as they resisted the items for more price. I am absolutely okay if they call it pricing error and cancel, has happened multiple times in the past with other sellers, but not appreciating this sneaky way.

                @Skullytor: Ebay cancelled mine as Auto resolution. I think in hindsight it was mistake to create that case. I should have let Sony handle it. If you have an eBay case open see if you can cancel. Also note, if you cancel eBay case, eBay might treat it as resolved. So future refunds might be an issue.

                      @waverock: I have received my item after eBay refunded the money. Now Sony is reinvoicing for me to pay. Happy with the speaker system so far. I think when I actually complained with fairtrading, they moved faster.

        I complained on the 11th about not receiving the item. I doubt any real escalation occurred. eBay's internal tracking says the package is unsent. However DHL shows it as delivered

    Has anyone else got USB ERROR on their sound bar? Comes up randomly and I havent even plugged in a USB
    I did a factor reset, same. When the error flashes, functions top (sound still works).
